I believe that our light needs to be dwelt on and God has provided me with the following revelation about this “light”.
Jesus said (John 8:12) ” I am the LIGHT of the world, he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” I believe there exists a “real” light within us. It is from God and given to each person upon birth. A small star as it were. As we grow older and produce more and more sin, this light begins to fade. Similar to a flashlight. We all have had a flashlight go slowly dead and show a fading light. BUT if we live a life that is more pure and we are walking in God’s righteous ways, our light becomes brighter.
Now, this is all seen in the world beyond, we obviously can’t see it. But guess who else see’s this light apart from God and His Angels? Satan and his angels! That’s right. They roam around the planet observing such light from us. The more righteous we are the brighter it is. The devils notice the ones who are brighter and they are the ones that they particularly focus on. in (2 Tim 3:12) we are told “All that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution”
I received a letter from one of my charities today. The Church was having a service on the Sabbath in Africa. The Pastor told the woman who wrote me that he had a bad feeling for some reason before his service. At the packed service (over 300 people) the pastor made a powerful call and many came forward to accept Jesus. But near the end of the baptising a loud bang was heard. People ducked for cover. Then another bang. It turned out that some teenager had thrown big rocks onto the top of the church. Later they found him and he confessed he was sent there from another “church” to disrupt the service.
The devils HATE those who follow God and obey his Commandments. In this case the simple poor people who earnestly obey God. The light was really shining in that service. So be prepared for the devil’s arrows to be thrown your way if you walk righteously with God. Walk in your bright light and don’t be afraid. (Eph 5:8) “You were in some darkness, but now you are light in the Lord, walk as children of light”. Continue to spread the good news! And praise God you are counted worthly to suffer for the Lord!

Amen brother Rob…if we are being persecuted it is a good indication that we have begun to follow Christ and are swimming upstream, against the current of the world.
Makes me think of the Lord’s word when He said, “In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.”
Glorious!

Amen. The Lord also said “Greater is He who is within you than he who is in the world.” The fascinationg thing about this revelation is that the world beyond is watching and observing. Noticing whose lights are really shinning. Ofcourse the devils love to see the dimly light sinners as he is the prince of “darkness”. They are believing his darkness.
