There is an old saying called “Kicked to the curb” meaning something that we simply don’t want or have no use for–we kick it out to the curb as the saying goes.
The Truth is as we know –Christ. For His Word says,
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
So any time we know Truth we know Christ. Truth is something we are to hold dear, cherish. Again God’s word warns us about rejecting truth —
“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”(2 Thes. 2:9-10)
Ah, those who do not “love” the Truth will perish. Let us now give an example of a very high profile case of not loving the Truth –His Word.
Recently Pope Francis just came out and declared that gay “civl unions” are acceptable in our society today. In other words, this same sex marriage arrangement is to be well tolerated among us, an embracing if you will.
“Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family,” the pope said. “They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or be made miserable because of it.”
Those of us who are not ignorant of God’s Word cannot sit idly by and condone such misguiding instructions in His Truth. The Word is too clear to ignore —
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.”(Lev. 18:22)
“For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.” (Romans 1:26-28)
Certianly shows a BIG difference between what the Pope thinks on gay unions and what God thinks!
You see brethren the Pope is now setting up the world for the last great deception. SOP tells us about it —
“The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp the hands with the Roman power, and under the influence of this three fold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience. “(GC, p.588)
So this deception of what God approves is simply a set up for more proclamations of larger deceptions to come –Spiritualism and Sunday sacredness.
The dead coming to life and speaking to loved ones from Satan’s bag of tricks. And the “holy” Lord’s Day — Sunday. His main man the “false prophet” shall be his main servant.
“Preliminary to that miracle working power, Protestantism, Catholicism and Spiritualism will have grasped each other’s hand by means of a church federation. The difference of opinion in doctrinal points will be considered of no vital importance to salvation. They will see in that apparently innocent union a great movement for the settlement of differences as well as for the conversion of the world. ” ( 2 SR, p. 158)
So this latest kicking the Truth to the curb is only just beginning. The twistings and deceptions will grow more wide spread until the great Sunday Law will be pronounced. NOW is our time to work to be ready for these solemn and fearful yet exciting times if we are walking with Him!
