An Amazing Presentation

Let’s face it: ever since the great Waco disaster in April of 1993, Davidian Seventh-day Adventists have had a “branding problem” as the above presenter “Joshua Lindsey” described in his recent YouTube video presentation.

The Scriptures say “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” ( 2 Tim. 2:15)

Joshua has done his homework and we are sure the Great King above is approving what Joshua has provided as a largely accurate description of the faith known as Davidian Seventh-day Adventist. He sums up beliefs, current controversies, and historical information.  This is impressive as he is not either a DSDA or SDA, but did in-depth studies to learn about the DSDA movement.

Being a part of DSDA for approximately 12 years now, we can attest to what was presented as for the most part — accurate. This is so refreshing because over the years we have seen videos, online reports, and other media, often give error-filled information on our movement. As he presents, many he says, have a mistaken idea that Branch Davidians are the same as Davidian Seventh-day Adventists. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

We also want to thank him for giving this Blog a mention in his video. He used the following blog post to help explain who a DSDA really is.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15)

For those interested in getting a true and largely accurate knowledge of our DSDA movement here is Joshua’s video link.

What do we say to those in the SDA church who are now moving away from the Saturday Sabbath to say the day we have kept according to the Gregorian Calendar is wrong? Also, what does the SOP say about Joshua 6:15 in the light of the Sabbath Truth?

    Be blessed…

Thank you, Rob, for posting Pastor Bachelor’s response – however, there’s a faction that has taken this idea of the 7th DAY* to a whole new level… SEE WHY:

I am familiar with her as I watched a few videos in the past. Always struck out to me as not well grounded BUT will hear her out and get back to you, thanks bro. Terence for this info.

Bro, I watched it all –wow! She CONFIRMED to me that she is nothing but a “private interpreter” a thing condemned by the Bible. “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” ( 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Send me your email again and I will forward you PROOF she is completely false in her ideas. My email again is — palmguy@dc.rr.com

For just a tid bit, I will quote the following. First a disclosure. The following is taken from the “new codes” and as such, due to the numerous errors and meddling in them from Florence Houteff and Don Adair, we DO NOT believe them as inspired. However that being said, I am of the opinion that “some” of them were brother Houteff’s writings. Such is the case with this the new code that discusses the Lunar Sabbath.

“As for a lunar calendar, let us not lose sight of the fact that Moses and the people that he led out of Egypt were all born and raised in Egypt; that they knew of no other than the Egyptian calendar. And what was it? — History gives the answer in the following paragraphs:

“We know from the Latin writer Censorinus that the first day of the Egyptian calendar year coincided with the rising of Sothis in A.D. 139 and it must therefore have done the same thing 1460 solar years earlier and so on, i.e. in 1321 B.C., 2781 B.C., 4241 B.C., 5701 B.C. etc. …Egyptologists consequently date the introduction of the calendar to 4241 B.C. or to 2781 B.C. according as they believe the Pyramids to be earlier or later than the latter date. A still higher date, e.g., 5701 B.C., is hardly likely.

“…Twelve nominal months of 30 days each gave 360 days, and the missing 5 days were added on at the end under the name of ‘days additional to the year.’ The months were grouped into three sets of four, the first four forming the inundation season, the second four the winter or sowing-time and the third four the summer or harvest.” — Encylopedia Britannica, 1950 edition, Vol. 4, pp. 576, 575. Subject: Calendar, — Egyptian.

While history points out that the Egyptian month consisted of thirty days, Moses reveals in his writings that the Noatic month likewise was thirty days long. (See Gen. 7:11 and 8:3, 4). The only change God made in the Egyptian calendar was: “This month [Abib] shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.” Ex. 12:1, 2.

You see there is absolutely no contest with a private individual versus a “inspired prophet”.
Similar to a kindergarten child versus a professor!
