Holding the Four Winds of the Earth

August 29, 2015

144,000 chart

In Revelation 7:1 we read, “After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or any tree.”

What does these winds represent? Trouble BIG trouble! Once these winds are let loose–whoa! We cannot imagine the trouble that is coming to this earth. We think Katrina, ISIS, Haiti’s earthquake was/is  bad? As the ol song and saying goes–“You ain’t see nothing yet”.

We are at the cusp of great trouble, a time when God will be the only out for the people. No more will we be able to abuse God’s long-suffering patience. The Word will go out to release the winds.

As we posted in one of our prior reports, the Lord always specifically warns His people when He is about to do something solemn. SOP describes–

“God does not send judgments upon His people without first warning them to repent. He uses every means to bring them back to obedience and does not visit their iniquity with judgments until He has given them ample opportunity to repent.” (Testimonies, vol. 4, p.179).

Do we think God is still in the warning business? Of course He is, He is the same today as He was yesterday (Mal.3:6). This being true, we who are keeping our eyes open know that the Lord is just about finished with His fourth and last Blood Moon. They have appeared in the heavens three consecutive times within the last several months, all falling on historical holy Biblical days. The fourth one appears on Sept. 28. When we understand that one Blood moon is uncommon, to have FOUR all back to back to back to back, falling exactly in Biblical holy days, well as we said before –this is God speaking to us the SDA church.

As we have shown in other reports, we the SDA church are— “the Israel of today” (Testimonies, vol. 9, p.164). So we must be aware that these Blood moons are for us, the Israel of today. He is warning us that our time is very short. He stands ready to make a move.

blood moons

“The LORD said to Moses, “How long will this people spurn Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?” Numbers 14:11)

The move can only be a great and troublesome time upon the earth, a time that Daniel the prophet spoke of. The winds begin to blow.

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”(Dan.12:1)

We as SDA firmly know that in 1844 Jesus entered the most holy place to begin the judgment for the dead. Those we professed God throughout the prior ages. But He is soon to finish with the dead. Very shortly He shall “stand up” from that work and purification takes place in our ranks.

“While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among God’s people upon earth. This work is more clearly presented in the messages of Revelation 14.”(Great Controversy, p.425)

In Rev. 14 we read of two harvests “reapings” and the first one is from the “Son of man”(Ezekiel 9). This is the Lord coming to the church for the first stroke of the wrath of God . The Testimonies confirm this.

“Here we see that the church–the Lord’s sanctuary–was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God’s power as in former days. Times have changed.

These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus “Peace and safety” is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God’s people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.211)

But this is the beginning of His people being “delivered”. Sadly He has to “take the reins into His own hands” (TM, p.300) with a  most solemn judgment in His house. He patience is over, His prophetic word which He uttered from times past must come to pass.

“As a flaming torch in the blackness of night, stands forth the truth that the time of trouble such as never was, finds the church free from the flood of tares, free from the “bad fish,” and consequently able not only to withstand the Devil but also to go forth conquering and to conquer in the mighty power of Michael, Whose standing up delivers “every one that shall be found written in the book.” Dan. 12:1.(Answerer, vol. 2, p.20)

But let us look at these “winds” more closely, specifically what could be some direct upcoming troublesome acts that happen to the world when they are let loose.

Today we are witnessing a major behind the scenes financial time bomb brewing. China just devalued their currency and they, along with Russia, have been snatching up any and all Gold for the last several years. These two power houses know that the US dollar has no real backing as without Gold reserves to back them up, they are just paper promises saying “I owe you”. For some good reports, google “Russia buying up gold”(also China).

So what does all this foretell? It shows that as soon as the gigantic war over Israel begins and then once it settles, the financial markets will be ready for a new currency that eliminates the dollar and replaces it with some type of electronic units that can be controlled by the higher-ups. This must happen because of God’s word in Rev. 13–

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Rev. 13:16-17)

Right now the dollar is easy to hide from the authorities. Many through out our nation just live on cash without paying taxes, using credit cards, buying only with cash. Their home is their bank where they stash the cash. But once the dollar is replaced then the governments can control the people via their finances. And then the prophesied decree can be set up to accomplish its goal–“that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

The stock market is another inflated balloon. Soon the big crash will come and many will be financially wiped out. So these financial time bombs are just some of the results of God ordering the release of the four winds. Satan will have more free rein to accomplish his evil desires to capture as many as is not calling upon the true Lord at that time.

Awhile back I was listening to a Christian call in radio show and a man called in saying he was a professional truck driver (somewhere back east). He was speaking as one who was nearly out of breath and scared. The host asked him what was going on. He replied that he was curious what he was asked to haul so he pulled over and had just opened his truck trailer and found hundreds of large boxes of guillotines. He said this truck’s load transfer seemed strange and now he knew why.

This call goes along with the many online reports of the government purchasing thousands of guillotines. In addition there are long time reports of secret Fema camps all over the US. Something is being planned and it appears that some time soon, Martial Law will be put in place. This all fits as we know Revelation again warns us of the following–

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4)

SOP gives us the most pin point explanation of these fours winds.

“The time is coming when we cannot sell at any price. The decree will soon go forth prohibiting men to buy or sell of any man save him that hath the mark of the beast. We came near having this realized in California a short time since; but this was only the threatening of the blowing of the four winds. As yet they are held by the four angels. We are not just ready. There is a work yet to be done, and then the angels will be bidden to let go, that the four winds may blow upon the earth. That will be a decisive time for God’s children, a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. Now is our opportunity to work.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.152)

You see my brethren, the sole reason that the four winds are not yet loose is because God must seal His 144,000. They must be sealed first in order for them to be ready to advance the Loud Cry to all the world. Once the sealing is completed THEN we shall see all sorts of trouble break loose. God’s mercy on His elect is what is giving us our general peace right now.

The message tells us more enlightening facts–

“It being a foregone conclusion that Satan is against the saints, and that the Lord is against the truth-hating and evil-doing multitude, the  subject becomes crystal clear: When let loose, the winds are to strike against the faithful “remnant,” against those who are left after the earth has opened her mouth and swallowed up “the flood,” the “tares” (Rev. 12:16, 17); but the angels who are stationed to hurt, are  to smite those who make war against the remnant.

Those whose names are found in the book, are “delivered.” Dan. 12:1.  Seeing that the 144,000, the servants of God, are not as yet sealed (not yet enclosed, protected, guarded, and ready to take their stand with the Lamb on Mt. Sion, but rather are still commingled with the tares) the angels are commanded to forestall the clash.

Consequently, when this sealing work is completed, then the angels who hold the winds, will let the winds blow, and the angels who are to hurt the earth, sea, and trees, will then commence their given work.

Otherwise stated, to let the winds blow, is to permit the two-horn beast to decree “that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Rev. 13:15); and to let the angels hurt, is to allow the Lord’s decree to take its course: “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” Rev. 14:9, 10.  This warning is followed by the forecast:

“The four angels were loosed, which were prepared  for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.” Rev. 9:15.

Both decrees will be in force after the 144,000 are sealed.

Here is seen that from among the first fruits of the harvest, come the 144,000, the servants of God for the closing work of the great harvest.  These are the first saints ever to have been relieved of the “tares” among them.  Get ready, Brother, Sister, for the time is at hand.”(Tract 15, p.61-62)

If you are not an SDA, the dire events coming will be your world. The surviving SDA members from the Lord’s church purification will sound a “Loud Cry” message from the Lord, and you will have a decision to make– Accept the Lord and His Commandments (obey the true Sabbath-7th day) or accept the world’s false sabbath–Sunday and agree to accept the “mark of the beast” so that you can buy and sell and survive in the new world order.

If we are a Seventh-day Adventist we are faced with a difficult decision. Do we accept His last pleading message, or do we ignore it, clinging to the very charge our Lord makes against us–“Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’--and do  not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind , and naked.” Rev. 3:17)

So the eternal question to us as SDA is– Are we accepting or rejecting His last message to us? The message of His Elijah prophet? This will be the deciding factor. There is a reason the message is called by Inspiration, the “sealing message”, it’s because it seals us in our foreheads.

We as SDA really need to know just how precious our right decision is. We can become one of His elect, one of His “army” members declaring His word with ALL authority!

“Clad in the armor of Christ’s righteousness, the church is to enter upon her final conflict. “Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners” (Song of Solomon 6:10), she is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer (Prophets and Kings, p.725).

“The servants of God” shall certainly gather all their brethren out of all nations (Isa. 66:20).  Indeed so, for the legs of the Gospel are the legs of the people who proclaim it.  Of course, only with perfect co-ordination and a bullet-proof army can the gospel work be finished when the two-horned beast declares “that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Rev. 13:15. (Timely Greetings, vol. 2, no.8, p.20)

Are we watching TV often, or at a show, or doing some pleasurable worldly activity often, while the Bible is left on the shelf collecting dust?  The four winds are very soon to break loose, and the Scriptures say that we as SDA, the general masses in our church, will reject His final message and doom our fate. But there is still time to get into the proverbial Ark. The winds are still held back, thank the Lord.

Shorts in the Sanctuary

August 22, 2015

Short skirtman in shorts

When we as part of the God’s remnant people see the above dress in His sanctuary, what should we think? What comes to mind is dis-honor and dis-respect. Our God is so much more worthy than worldly fashions. Let us look at what Inspiration says about this important part of worship.

Being a part of “God’s house”,  it truly is quite sad to notice week after week many of our young ladies (even middle age) wearing simply unacceptable dress in His presence. His word is abundantly clear on this issue , there should be no mis-understanding about it. Although it is our women who most often have the short attire problem, men as well can partake in this abomination.

Concerning my local church, I had posted a few months ago how I was led by the Lord to bring this issue up to the prior pastor (we have since had a new one who is trying to make some headway). This improper dressing was clearly pointed out to him , yet several months have gone by and this still remains a weakness within our church. The sin has been “passed over”. Our church is by no means the exception. This sin is throughout the SDA churches and is one of the most plain and obvious non-reforms we as His remnant people are guilty of.

Inspiration states–

“Sin and sinners in the church must be promptly dealt with, that others may not be contaminated. Truth and purity require that we make more thorough work to cleanse the camp from Achans. Let those in responsible positions not suffer sin in a brother. Show him that he must either put away his sins or be separated from the church.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.147)

Who is contaminated and effected by the improper dress? Certainly the peers of such casual and provocative dressers! Once an influential young gal (ie. a popular one) wears a short skirt, there is likely to be female followers who will admire the fashion and follow suite. It’s the ol “birds of a feather flock together” scenario.

We see from the divine instruction above that the “leaders” have a real duty to step up to the plate and give the right counsel. Doing the right thing here is tough, I will grant that but nevertheless it must be done.

His word says it’s tough to correct people–

“They hate the one who rebukes in the gate, and abhor the one who speaks uprightly.” (Amos 5:10)

But who is to be pleased, God, man or woman? Will man or woman grant us life to live forever more? Will man or woman give us eternal happiness? Think this through my brothers and sisters. In the Lord’s final sealing message, He warns us through the prophet that following the fashion of the world is a very serious abomination. It is listed as number 2 of 12 abominations in the church (partial list).

1.   Lack of reverence in the house of God: Isa. 56:7; Volume 5,  pages 492-500.

2.   Following the fashions of the world: Isa. 3:16; Volume 1, pages  269, 270; Volume 4, page 632; Volume 3, page 379; Volume 5, page 78; Volume 1, pages 189-191;  Volume 1, pages 135, 136; Volume 4, page 631. (SRod, vol.1, p.34)

So with the greatest concern and Christian love we should do our warning. But those leaders who wink or ignore such sins Inspiration says —

“He would teach His people that disobedience and sin are exceedingly offensive to Him and are not to be lightly regarded. He shows us that when His people are found in sin they should at once take decided measures to put that sin from them, that His frown may not rest upon them all. But if the sins of the people are passed over by those in responsible positions, His frown will be upon them, and the people of God, as a body, will be held responsible for those sins.

In His dealings with His people in the past the Lord shows the necessity of purifying the church from wrongs. One sinner may diffuse darkness that will exclude the light of God from the entire congregation. When the people realize that darkness is settling upon them, and they do not know the cause, they should seek God earnestly, in great humility and self-abasement, until the wrongs which grieve His Spirit are searched out and put away.

The prejudice which has arisen against us because we have reproved the wrongs that God has shown me existed, and the cry that has been raised of harshness and severity, are unjust. God bids us speak, and we will not be silent. If wrongs are apparent among His people, and if the servants of God pass on indifferent to them, they virtually sustain and justify the sinner, and are alike guilty and will just as surely receive the displeasure of God; for they will be made responsible for the sins of the guilty.

In vision I have been pointed to many instances where the displeasure of God has been incurred by a neglect on the part of His servants to deal with the wrongs and sins existing among them. Those who have excused these wrongs have been thought by the people to be very amiable and lovely in disposition, simply because they shunned to discharge a plain Scriptural duty. The task was not agreeable to their feelings; therefore they avoided it.” (Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 266-267)

These warnings are not solely the leader’s job. If God gives you or I the heads up on a certain disrespectful lady or gent, and the opportunity arises we should politely and with love, warn them to show reverence in God’s house.

Look how Inspiration says fashion is so serious with God–

“Do not, my sisters, trifle longer with your own souls and with God. I have been shown that the main cause of your backsliding is your love of dress. This leads to the neglect of grave responsibilities, and you find yourselves with scarcely a spark of the love of God in your hearts. Without delay, renounce the cause of your backsliding, because it is sin against your own soul and against God. Be not hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Fashion is deteriorating the intellect and eating out the spirituality of our people.

Obedience to fashion is pervading our Seventh-day Adventist churches and is doing more than any other power to separate our people from God. I have been shown that our church rules are very deficient. All exhibitions of pride in dress, which is forbidden in the word of God, should be sufficient reason for church discipline.

If there is a continuance, in face of warnings and appeals and entreaties, to still follow the perverse will, it may be regarded as proof that the heart is in no way assimilated to Christ. Self, and only self, is the object of adoration, and one such professed Christian will lead many away from God.

There is a terrible sin upon us as a people, that we have permitted our church members to dress in a manner inconsistent with their faith. We must arise at once and close the door against the allurements of fashion. Unless we do this, our churches will become demoralized.” (Testimonies, vol. 4 ,p. 647-648)

There are many, many takeaways from these counsels above. One of the most striking is the counsel to give–church discipline. When was that last time this God breathed word was obeyed?

You see my beloved, this area of fashion Satan has thoroughly hood winked us. We say to ourselves and even to others who may bring this serious sin up, “It is the inside that counts, what we do on the outside is secondary.” But this is Satan’s trick!

Just re-read the Lord’s messenger’s words above again and you will see that fashion is NOT un-important to God- especially within His holy Sanctuary. When we convert we show it not only within but without!

Yes, we must first be made whole within by His love and law, but once the conversion comes we show it from within and without. If we don’t we can be fulfilling prophecy–

“Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.” (James 1:6-8)

We are living in the very last hours of our SDA probation, and we MUST get that seal in our forehead if we are to remain standing (Mal. 3:2) once the Lord “suddenly comes to His temple” (Mal. 3:1).

We MUST be over-comers. The Lord helps us but we must take that first step. He is not going to dress us up for Sabbath service, He expects us to willfully come before Him and show proper respect and honor. Remember He is watching within His sanctuary.

After we ourselves have overcome sins, such as the dreadful fashion sin, the Lord let’s us know that by warning others we have cleared ourselves of the wrong doing in our midst.

“When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man  shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”(Ezek. 3:18-19)

In closing, let us as faithful guardians of His right ways, do our part to show by example we dress properly to please God. But let us remember that those who pat the sinners on the back, after they have been clearly shown their fashion sin, are aligning themselves up with their sin. In effect we are really saying “you’re dying and I am happy for you”.No! We want ALL to live!

“And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.” (Ezek. 9:4)

“Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will you hear? Will you receive His message? Will you be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity.” (Manuscript Releases, vol. 1, p.260)

A Deadly Rumor

August 15, 2015

Gossip

The dictionary describes the word “Rumor” as –  “a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth. Gossip, hearsay, talk, speculation.”

A while back we posted about how a SDA woman was trying to learn the Lord’s message of Elijah  and then later she came in contact with her fellow SDA friend who told her in no uncertain terms a most terrible and alarming falsehood. The “Shepherd’s Rod” people teach that one day they will rise up in the SDA church and commit the killing told of in Ezekiel 9.

What we’d like to do in this post is make a comprehensive verifiable post with documented writings that one may copy and therefore by ready to show anyone who would so recklessly and naively utter those same sentiments to their victims. Sadly, as I get more seasoned in the message, this truly disgusting and Satanic rumor really amazes me and is spread more than people realize.

Recently it has become painfully clear that this sister who was so excited to know new truth from the Lord, has been scarred. What is even worse is that her favorite New York phone ministry (they provide fellowship and Bible studies via phone conferencing) had a minister  a few days after she heard that charge from the sister, who said the same thing! Two rumor blows within two weeks!

She has expressed no further desire to study the message of the hour. The Satanic work has done its damage. Yet another soul has been stopped from stepping into the ark for us today (learning the sealing message), to be ready for the church’s “surprise” judgment (Mal. 3:1-2). Things may change, but Satan’s rumor work has affected her and only the Holy Spirit can draw her back now.

But this sister is not totally guiltless here. God requires each of us to search out the Truth and we cannot trust in man (ie. rumors) over studying ourselves.

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, who heart turns away from the Lord.”(Jer. 17:5)

But let us look at concrete Biblical, Spirit of Prophecy, and Elijah message writings concerning who are the ones that the Lord directs to actually “do” the execution of judgment upon God’s house.

Before we go further , however, we as SDA should know that it was our own prophetess who let us know that this Ezekiel 9 will affect us as a church. This was NOT started by Victor Houteff. He shed further light on this but  did not originate this application to the church.

1, page 260)

The “every case” is every SDA member (“people who have such great light and important truths revealed to them”), the judgment to come will reveal survivors who live forever or fallen ones who fall in the church judgment. There may be some who do not fall but their fate is even worse as they see what they have done by fighting the Lord’s message, the damage they caused. There will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (See SRod, vol. 2, p.185-186)

“He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had  the writer’s inkhorn by his side;” (Ezekiel 9:1-3)

The area of mis-application stems from the usage of “men” and “man”. These words obviously could be taken literally if one did not have a firm grasp on Inspiration. Satan knows how so many people can be hood winked into making false interpretations. Hence the groundwork of a Satanic rumor is formed.

One needs to understand that Scripture can describe angels as a human appearance  or “man”. Several references prove our case.

“And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.” (Daniel 8:15)

“Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” (Daniel 9:21)

“I looked up and saw a man dressed in linen clothing, with a belt of pure gold around his waist.” (Daniel 10:5)

Lot calls the two angels who came to him while in Sodom  “men” as well–

“..unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.” (Genesis 19:8)

So we see that angels can be described as men. Let us now move on to the Spirit of Prophecy. As mentioned our prophetess was first to speak about the church judgment in regards to Ezek. 9 and the following is quite clear who is allowed to execute God’s judgments.

“To His angels He gives the commission to execute His judgments. Let the ministers awake, let them take in the situation. The work of judgment begins at the sanctuary. “And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar.” Read Ezekiel 9:2-7.” (Testimonies to Min. p.431)

“Angels keep a faithful record of every man’s work, and as judgment passes upon the house of God, the sentence of each is recorded by his name, and the angel is commissioned to spare not the unfaithful servants, but to cut them down at the time of slaughter. Here we see that the church–the Lord’s sanctuary–was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God.” (Testimonies, vol.1, p.198)

“When God was about to smite the first-born of Egypt, He commanded the Israelites to gather their children from among the Egyptians into their own dwellings and strike their door posts with blood, that the destroying angel might see it and pass over their homes. It was the work of parents to gather in their children. This is your work, this is my work, and the work of every mother who believes the truth. The angel is to place a mark upon the forehead of all who are separated from sin and sinners, and the destroying angel will follow, to slay utterly both old and young.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.505)

“Let both grow together until the harvest;” then the angels will gather out the tares, which will be appointed to destruction…. The time of the harvest will fully determine the character of the two classes specified under the figure of the tares and the wheat. The work of separation is given to the angels of God, and not committed into the hands of any man.” (Review and Herald, Sept. 5, 1893)

Clearly Inspiration shows us the dire and solemn responsibility given not to man but to the angels of God.

Ok, let’s go straight to the horse’s mouth as they say. Let’s look at what is published in the Shepherd’s Rod.

“…the enemy of truth is determined that light shall not reach the people (“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 411), also that he is doing everything to tear down Mt. Carmel Center and the work she is carrying on.

1. “I have been told,” says one, “that Mt. Carmel Center is being builded as a sort of fort where weapons are being stored for the purpose of slaying all the S.D.A.’s who do not accept the message of the Rod.  Is this true?”

Nothing could be quite so absurd as the story which the questioner has been told, and we admonish our brethren not to believe what they are told by Mt. Carmel’s enemies, any more than while they were investigating the Sabbath truth they believed the wild stories told about Adventists.” (Symbolic Code, vol. 3, no.11-12, p.2)

Question: “Are the 144,000, after being sealed, to go and kill all the others in the S.D.A. church who failed to receive the seal?”

Answer: The slaying of the tares in the church is plainly foretold that this work is not man’s duty to perform. The prophet Ezekiel, in vision, was shown that the angels who bear the slaughter weapons are the ones whom the Lord commissioned to “slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women”…but to “come not near any man upon whom is the mark.” (Ezek. 9:6.) The Lord makes this destruction of the “tares” still plainer by His parabolic illustration, saying:

“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into My barn.”

“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.” (Matt. 13:30, 49.)(Symbolic Code, vol. 1, no. 16, p.3)

There we have it. English language cannot be more clear. Victor Houteff responded to the slanderous rumor concerning our subject matter leaving no doubt that the Shepherd’s Rod teaching  (Also known as the Davidian Seventh-day Adventist teachings) does NOT advocate any murderous acts to be committed by any human beings. You may search ALL the writings of the message, Tracts, Timely Greetings, Shepherd’s Rod books (vol. 1 and 2), The Answerer, Jezreel Letters, and the Symbolic Codes and not fine ONE reference that has a smidgen of even a hint that such terrible teachings exist.

So what does this whole exercise tell us? Inspiration spells it out without doubt.

“The more you are jostled, misapprehended, misstated, misrepresented, the more evidence you have that you are doing a work for the Master, and the more closely you must cling to your Saviour.” (Testimonies, vol. 8, p.130)

“The Devil will use any willing tool to slander and abuse the followers of Jesus Christ. Scoffers will scoff, and liars will lie, whether they bear the title of Reverend, or be patrons of brothels. And the higher the position, the greater the criminality.” (Ascension Robes, p.6)

If you happen to unfortunately come in contact with one who, unsuspectingly, spreads Satan’s lie about this deadly rumor, ask them one simple question.

Can you provide me with any references from the Shepherd’s Rod as proof of what you say? As sure as the Lord lives they will vacillate  and never perform their Christian duty to provide honest evidence of such charge. The honest will admit they “heard” of the charge but have no concrete evidence.

“Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? (John 7:50)

The Holy Commandments are God’s precious laws that He wants obeyed and one of those is the 9th Commandment. “Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

Let’s look at how the Satanic rumor has evolved:

  1. In 1930 Victor Houteff published the first of the many publications ,which  was entitled “The Shepherd’s Rod”,volume 1
  2. In the October 15, 1935 news publication (Symbolic Code) we find one of the first suggestions that the idea that the 144,000 will, after being sealed, commit the work of the angels of Ezek.9 was circulating. (See above reference)
  3. In November of 1937, we see that the rumor was more defined by the comment in Sym. Code vol. 3, no.11-12, p.2 (See above ref.) Obviously the rumor had developed to the point that God’s servant was now making a sort of “fort” to commit future killings. True absurdity.
  4. Fast forward to Waco Texas, 1993. David Koresh and his band of so called “Davidians” (they were Branch Davidians, not connected to original doctrinal Davidian SDA groups) engaged in the tragic events with government ATF personnel. Satan accomplishes his goal–taint the name –Davidian. Koresh had led a commune of sorts, engaging in terrible activities, drugs, alcohol, sex with minors, etc.
  5. Soon these events filtered through out the world, giving further ammunition that “Davidians” are aggressive, gun loving, off-shoot people who are not right with God. The confusion of the Branch DSDA with the true DSDA was now common place, especially within the SDA church. The Waco disaster therefore, gave Satan much fuel to keep lighting his killing rumor through out the SDA church.

So here we are today, the deadly rumor still very much alive. However only those who study for themselves will be free of Satan’s snares which include rumors, twisting truths and falsehoods as his specialty!

“A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.” (Proverbs 19:9)

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.” (Exodus 23:1)

Stay strong you who love the Truth and God’s word. Satan is active but if we know his ploys in advance, how fortified  and prepared we are!

Where is God’s Vineyard Today?

August 8, 2015

Vineyard sign

My Grandfather used to say “Son, there’s a right way to do things and there’s a  wrong way to do things.” This saying truly applies to our work for the Lord in these final hours of our probation. Do it right and the Lord will say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matt. 25:21)

Do it wrong and it will be, “Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.” (Matt 25:26)

So we ask our Title question–Where is God’s vineyard today? Meaning where is God’s true work to be done today for us as Seventh-day Adventists?  Is it doing work like Doug Batchelor and his Amazing Facts team encourages, trying to “save” the world? Is it like Jim Gilley and 3 ABN, with their host of programs aimed at reaching the world and the heathen therein? Let us look squarely at this very important question. For if we do it one way we are rewarded , if we do it another, oh what sad sad end we’ll see.

“Advanced light is shining upon us in these last days. We cannot be accepted of God; we cannot honor him by rendering the same service, doing the same work that our fathers did. In order to be accounted guiltless before God, we must be as faithful in our time in following and obeying our light, as they were faithful in following and obeying the light that shone upon them.”(Review and Herald, April 25, 1893)

“In every age there is a new development of truth, a message of God to the people of that generation. The old truths are all essential; new truth is not independent of the old, but an unfolding of it. It is only as the old truths are understood that we can comprehend the new. When Christ desired to open to His disciples the truth of His resurrection, He began “at Moses and all the prophets” and “expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.” Luke 24:27.

But it is the light which shines in the fresh unfolding of truth that glorifies the old. He who rejects or neglects the new does not really possess the old. For him it loses its vital power and becomes but a lifeless form.”(Christ’s Object Lessons, p.127-128)

So we see that we,  who are alive today have truths and light that was not necessarily shown to prior generations. This being so, what do you think could be “our” present light? This answer is found in the Scriptures, the rock foundation of our faith.

There is only one place that predicts a messenger (Prophet) to come right before the end of time with new light –The book of Malachi. As some of you faithful believers and students of the Lord’s last message know, this is a message from the Lord’s anti-typical “Elijah” (Mal.4:5). For there is promise of no other to come right before the “great and dreadful day of the Lord.”

So with the above understood, we see that this Elijah message is our “development of truth”  or “message of God.” So if this is so, we need to know why Elijah? As we have done a post already explaining most of this subject (Called-“Why Elijah?”), we’ll simply say that the reason is that –we, the SDA church, have a message that needs to go to us only. We must hear it and abide by it.

The reason the Lord wanted to send an “Elijah” was because his message was the type that we need. Elijah went to his own people to give them a message to repent from their wrongs. Elijah did not go and preach to the world such as Noah or the Apostles did. That is the real reason for Elijah!

Our Lord made it very clear, we the SDA church have need of more  truth and heartfelt repentance. It’s very clearly pointed out in Rev. 3:15-19.

But look around our church, what do we see? Programs and efforts to reach the heathen! The message and truth from Elijah is like water off a ducks back to the majority of our leaders and laity. Because they don’t abide by the Lord’s final message, which is to go strictly to our church, they blindly proceed without Heaven’s authority to bring more and more into the church.

“The Lord does not now work to bring many souls into the truth, because of the church members who have never been converted and those who were once converted but who have backslidden. What influence would these unconsecrated members have on new converts? Would they not make of no effect the God-given message which His people are to bear?” (Testimonies, vol. 6, p.371)

You see we cannot do Christ’s will as a church body while sinners exist in our midst.

“The kingdom of Christ will come; but who are laboring to that end? If those who know the Lord’s prayer would try to take in its meaning and realize its depth and breadth, the Church would be what God desires it to be—the light of the world. Men would have less desire for form and ceremony; for they would seek to plant in the heart those principles that sanctify the character.

Only when the Church is composed of pure, unselfish members, can it fulfill God’s purpose. Too much hasty work is done in adding names to the church roll. Serious defects are seen in the characters of some who join the church. Those who admit them say, We will first get them into the church, and then reform them. But this is a mistake. The very first work to be done is the work of reform. Pray with them, talk with them, but do not allow them to unite with God’s people in church relationship until they give decided evidence that the Spirit of God is working on their hearts.“((Review and Herald, May 21, 1901)

Wow! Do we see these instructions being followed today? Almost all our Pastors and leaders welcome all comers, when they want Baptism! This is exactly the wrong thing to do. Better to have a very small church, with converted members, than a full church with a majority of unconverted.

You see our Lord has not changed. Back in Joshua’s day He could not take a sinner in the midst (Achan) and His word says the following about this-

” When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath and the calling of convocations— I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.”(Isaiah 1:12-15)

This is why the Lord cannot allow us to work to save the world right now. What would we as Seventh-day Adventists  accomplish? Bring them into the church for the “great and dreadful day  of the Lord” (Ezek. 9) ? Like Inspiration said there are too many bad influences (poor dress reform, lukewarmness, ignoring sins in the midst, etc.) that most likely will cause many to stumble.

Our work right now is to concentrate on His church. We are the ones to be judged first (1 peter 4:17).Who is about to be sprued out, the world? Of course not. And with so much sin in our midst, we cannot afford to whistle while the ship sinks!

The Elijah message is full of ways the Lord wants us to reform. And by learning His final message can we know for certain what is required of us. Sins such as poorly dressing in His sanctuary, passing the money bag around while in His presence during services (see the post “The Collection Box”), women disregarding wearing proper head coverings in His presence (see the post “Little Things Mean Alot”), speaking un-inspired sermons of past truths while he is at the door for judgment, talking business talk on His Sabbath, and on and on it goes!

Yes, there is soon to be a time when the vineyard expands to the world. God’s original intention. But that time cannot come until we as a church body stop sinning (doing those things displeasing to Him). But once He “takes the reins into His own hands” (TM. p.300) His prophecy comes–

“Clad in the armor of Christ’s righteousness, the church is to enter upon her final conflict. “Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners” (Song of Solomon 6:10), she is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer.” (Prophets and Kings, p.725)

Oh, what a time that will be!

The message explains this reformation–

“Since the church is indeed God’s dearest object on earth, He often has to admonish, rebuke, and chasten her so as to bring her to maintain the high standard which He has set for her. And though her history is but one long, sad record of sinning and repenting, sinning and repenting, yet the Lord has borne with her in the infinite patience and long-suffering of Divine love so beautifully illustrated in the parable of the prodigal son. And finally in this love indescribable, He “gave Himself” (Gal. 1:4) for her in the person of His only begotten Son.

But this supreme sacrifice notwithstanding, she has never yet fully appreciated His undying love for her. Even now, the Saviour pathetically declares that He has somewhat against her, and admonishes her by strong words to repent and sit down with Him in His throne (Rev. 3:14-21), making clear the inevitable fate of all who fail to heed His counsel (Rev. 3:16). But, tragically, she has not heeded it, and so He “brings against ministers and people the heavy charge of spiritual feebleness, saying, ‘I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.”’-Christ Our Righteousness, 1941 Edition, p. 121.

Thus God, in His boundless, all-discerning love for His church, “‘calls for a spiritual revival and a spiritual reformation. Unless this takes place, those who are lukewarm will continue to grow more abhorrent to the Lord, until He will refuse to acknowledge them as His children.”

“‘A revival and a reformation must take place under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.’”- Christ Our Righteousness, 1941 Edition, p. 121.

In these inspired statements, three facts stand out in bold relief: (1) God sends this clarion call first to the ministers, and then to the laity; (2) He makes a positive declaration that He will spue out of His mouth all who fail to give heed to it, and to enter into a “spiritual revival and a spiritual reformation”; and (3) He makes clear that such a movement means “a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices.” Clearly, then, the church must experience a threefold change before she can ever look forth “fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners,” going “forth into all the world conquering and to conquer.”-Prophets and Kings, p. 725. (Answerer, vol. 1, Q-2)

In closing, this vineyard work is to be done now within our church, not merely thought about and talked about. The light of what our message truly is, is now before us, will we be “doers” in His church vineyard now?

In the very first publications of the Elijah message– Shepherd’s Rod volume one it begins with,

It is the intention of this book to reveal the truth of the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 7, but the chief object of this publication is to bring about a reformation among God’s people.

Amen! If we read, know and practice this message from the Lord -we can’t help but reform .It’s that powerful! Try going to work for the Lord in the right vineyard and you’ll find Him close and guiding you.

Arthur White and his Men Passing the Buck

August 1, 2015

Arthur White

There is an old saying that says he is “passing the buck.” We know this basically means passing the responsibility onto someone else. There is also this one,  “The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.” Arthur White, as we Seventh day Adventists know was the grandson of our prophetess–Ellen G. White. We have been so blessed to have studied her inspired writings and truths from the Lord.

Brother Don Adair , 84, is one of only two (as far as we know) living people who were a part of brother Victor T. Houteff’s original Mt. Carmel Davidian camp in Waco, Texas. He wrote of his personal testimony called , “A Davidian Testimony”. This was made for a couple of reasons. The Waco disaster in 1993 had recently occurred and he wanted to explain that those “Branch Davidians”(David Koresh and his followers) were not the same in beliefs and doctrinal points as the original Davidian Seventh-day Adventists.

He also had opportunity to give his testimony of how he came into the Davidian movement. Much history is given and for those who wish to get a good background of the early days, I highly suggest the book.

Here is Don’s personal testimony of his encounter with Arthur White.

AUTHOR STUDIES WITH TWELVE SDA YOUNG PEOPLE

One day in 1975 I received a phone call from a Seventh-day Adventist brother named Jack Lord, who heard that I was giving Bible studies. He asked me to come to Washington, D.C. and tell him and other SDA brethren what I was teaching. I accepted the invitation and with the Council’s approval, I drove up there in my 1967 Ford sedan. He lived with the Risosin brothers (four of them) in an apartment of a large rental complex, and I stayed with them.

They worked as house painters; and since they worked during the daytime, I would prepare their evening meal, after which the other listeners would come over for Bible studies. After I gave them about three studies, all twelve decided by then either for or against the Shepherd’s Rod message. Six believed in the message and would hear more studies; while the other six (one of which was bro. Jack Lord) had rejected it, but they didn’t want the others to believe.

It was during one Bible study on a Sunday that I realized the six unbelieving brethren intended to do something to stop the other six from believing. At the end of the study one brother said that the six believers were only listening to what Don was teaching, and they should hear what a Seventh -day Adventist minister has to say about my studies.

So I told them that I had no problem with that and asked him, “Who do you want them to hear?” and he said “Elder Arthur White”, whom we all knew was the grandson of Sis. White, the prophetess of the SDA church. Since they all had to work the next day, I told them that tomorrow  (Monday) I would drive up to the office of the General Conference Headquarters and ask Elder White to come to our Bible studies and refute the SRod.

AUTHOR ASKS ARTHUR WHITE TO COME AND PROVE THE SHEPHERD’S ROD IS WRONG

The next morning I drove to the General Conference Headquarters and the SDA church, and the receptionist asked if she could help me. I told her that I had a problem and needed to speak with Elder Arthur White about it. She told him and he came out, and invited me into his office, and after I had sat down he said in a friendly tone, “What can I do for you, young man?”

I told him there were twelve young people studying the Shepherd’s Rod message, and that six of them believed and six of them did not believe; and that the six unbelievers wanted him to come to the studies and prove that it was wrong. he said that he thought the Shepherd’s Rod message had died out; but I told him, “Oh no, it is still going strong.” he said he put away his Shepherd’s Rod literature, and had not studied it for a long time, and would need some time to review a few points.

I told him that we would all be glad to wait a few days for him to study. After thinking a few moments, he asked, “Who is the teacher?”  I said, “I am the teacher!” He said, “what, you are the teacher, and you want me to come and prove it wrong?” I said, “Sure, if you can prove its wrong, then I can give up being a Davidian and join the church.”

When he realized who I was, he considered me an enemy not a friend, and he said indignantly, “You know all that man Houteff did was criticize the church and say evil things about our ministers.” And I quickly replied, “I know of someone who rebuked the Seventh-day Adventist church ten times greater, especially the evils of the ministers, even far more than Bro. Houteff did.” He looked at me in great surprise with an expression on his face that seemed to ask, “who is that person?” And I pointed to a large picture he had on the top of his file cabinet, and said “Sister White, your grandmother!” He knew what I said was true, and he sat back in his chair in deep thought, apparently thinking of what he was to do about my unusual request.

Finally, he called into his office another minister from another room; and right after he asked him if he would go to my Bible studies and prove the SRod message was wrong, the phone rang. While he spoke on the phone, this minister asked me, “What does the Shepherd’s Rod teach?” I thought, “How can he prove it wrong if he does not know what it teaches?” So I told him briefly some very deep things about the slaughter of Ezekiel nine, the kingdom, the seals and trumpets. I could see that he was shaken up by what I was saying, because it was all new to him; and he knew that he was  not prepared to refute it.

Then while we were still talking, Elder White finished answering the phone, and he asked the minister if he would go and prove the Shepherd’s Rod wrong; and he said, “Arthur, I don’t think that I am prepared at this time to go.” So Elder White said to me sternly, “Come with me young man.”

ARTHUR WHITE LEADS AUTHOR TO OFFICE OF DR. HYDE

He led me out of his office up the stairs to the office of Dr. Hyde; and as he left, he said to the receptionist, “Take care of this young man.” When she asked what I wanted, i told her I had a problem and I needed his help. She wrote down my name on the register, and told me that I could see him at one o’clock that afternoon. as I opened the door and was about to leave, she said, “Oh, by the way, what is the nature of your visit?” as soon as I told her briefly about the six unbelievers  who wanted him to come to our studies and prove the SRod wrong, she immediately said, “Oh, I forgot, Dr,. Hyde has another appointment  at one o’clock and he cannot see you.”

And when I told her I would gladly come later, she kept insisting  that he would have no time left that day to talk to me or for the rest of the week. Finally, in desperation, she said, “Come with me,” and led me across the hall to a man sitting at his desk; and said to him, “take care of this man’s problem.”

He was cordial to me and asked me to sit down. He immediately asked me what he could do to help me, and I explained in detail about my problem and my visit downstairs with Elder White; and he seemed to show some interest. Then he asked me, “What does the Shepherd’s Rod teach?” So again, I explained to him in more detail, because I had a little more time (probably because they were trying to find Dr. Hyde).

Finally, we were interrupted when the phone rang, and after he answered and listened briefly, he said, “Sure I understand.” Then in closing the conversation, he said, “Yes sir, I will do that,” and hung up the receiver. Then turning to me he said, “That was Dr. Hyde, and he said to tell you that we cannot help you.” And before we could continue, I spoke to him in a determined voice to dispute Dr. Hyde’s refusal to help, and said “Wait a minute, I know that the General Conference has organized an institution which they call the Religious Defense Department, and that the General Conference should send someone to my studies to defend the six believers against the teachings of the Shepherd’s Rod!”

He was surprised at my demand, and admitted that the department did exist; but he could not explain why Dr. Hyde or someone from the Religious Defense Department could not and would not defend the six brethren. Instead, he told me that Dr. Hyde said it is the duty of the local ministers to defend the laymembers.

And as he opened the door for me to leave, he said that I would have to ask one of them to help with my problem. His answer proved that the General Conference leaders were afraid of the SRod message, because they knew they could not prove it wrong. And rather than have this fact exposed to the laity, these highest officials in the Seventh-day Adventist church deliberately shifted their own responsibility onto the local ministers, whom they knew couldn’t prove it wrong either.”

********************************************

Brother Adair goes further into the story showing that the six unbelievers still did not give up, rather they tried one more time with an Elder from the General Conference experienced in religious matters. This too backfired as this Elder agreed to study but within a few minutes of being in the room to study, changed his mind and told them he didn’t have time for “every offshoot deception that comes along.”

Those young men who wanted help from the “brethren of experience”  were left empty handed. Why? As brother Adair said they knew it could not be proven wrong. The Lord’s Rod (Micah 6:9) is now and was then, His message that causes a “shaking” amongst us SDA. We must all be accountable to God individually and by the story above, even if your relative was a prophetess, it makes no difference with God. You and I alone must “love and accept the Truth”.

So what lesson can we gleam from this story? What comes to mind is Arthur’s grandmother and her  inspired words. Sadly, from what we gather from the story is that the apple apparently fell  far from the tree. The tree of Truth. —

“Those who allow prejudice to bar the mind against the reception of truth cannot receive the divine enlightenment. Yet, when a view of Scripture is presented, many do not ask, Is it true–in harmony with God’s word? but, By whom is it advocated? and unless it comes through the very channel that pleases them, they do not accept it. So thoroughly satisfied are they with their own ideas that they will not examine the Scripture evidence with a desire to learn, but refuse to be interested, merely because of their prejudices.” (Testimonies to Ministers, p.105-106)

“Now as in former ages, the presentation of a truth that reproves the sins and errors of the times will excite opposition. “Everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” John 3:20. As men see that they cannot maintain their position by the Scriptures, many determine to maintain it at all hazards, and with a malicious spirit they assail the character and motives of those who stand in defense of unpopular truth. It is the same policy which has been pursued in all ages. Elijah was declared to be a troubler in Israel, Jeremiah a traitor, Paul a polluter of the temple. From that day to this, those who would be loyal to truth have been denounced as seditious, heretical, or schismatic.” (Great Controversy, p.458)

“..beware of rejecting that which is truth. The great danger with our people has been that of depending upon men and making flesh their arm. Those who have not been in the habit of searching the Bible for themselves, or weighing evidence, have confidence in the leading men and accept the decisions they make; and thus many will reject the very messages God sends to His people, if these leading brethren do not accept them.” (Testimonies to Ministers, p.106-107)
