1 year blog anniversary and thank you letter

October 30, 2010

This was one of those rare weeks where the Lord didn’t particularly guide me in writing any special message. Maybe He planned it that way, because at the last minute (about 30 minutes ago) an  idea hit me!  One year has gone by since my inception of this blog. And I have alot to be thankful for and to tell you all how much you’ve meant to me.

Every since that FIRST EVER SABBATH OBSERVANCE  almost two years ago, my life has done a complete 180! Here I was just a regular sinner doing my own thing, going my own direction. Seeking every pleasure I could. Unbeknown est to me I was living out Solomon’s words in Ecclesiastes. ALL is vanity and a running after the wind! For we are a vapor as his word says. (James 5:14)”…For what is life? It is a vapor , that appears for alittle time, then vanishes away”.

Then with that fateful decision to “try” His Sabbath, My life took a different direction. Just as Jesus said (John 14:21)  ” He that has my Commandments and KEEPS them, he it is that loves me and shall be loved by the Father, and I will love him, and will REVEAL MYSELF to him”.  I have “seen” and felt this “revealing” so clear and powerful!

So after I saw Jesus reveal Himself to me that first Sabbath, I had a real hunger for His word and His Holy Laws. Since then  He has inspired me to start this blog and tell a  message  of His love, ways, and Law. Many people have been touched, of which I thank God, for being used by him to reach some of you. The words and message I have posted here were  inspired by the Lord, and He has guided me to show His truth.

As I have said in my posts, we are living in the last days. His message is going out to “come out” of Babylon! I am part of that message. So please know this. You are now being called to “worship Him who made the heavens and earth and seas”. That means to “worship” Him as HE HAS SAID. Not worship Him by breaking a Commandment (Sunday worship) but by OBEYING His Commandments. Those who are keeping His Commandments in these last days WILL BE SAVED. That is what Revelation says, no IF’S, AND’S or BUT’S  about it!

So, I would like to thank each and every one of you for taking the time each week to read the posts. Some new features have been added ( you can Facebook, print, and email any post) at bottom of each post. Let’s “spread” His message and become active in reaching out! May God keep you and guide you until we are called up yonder! (as that beautiful song goes 😉 —–   Rob

Matt. 24:20

October 16, 2010

These words of our Lord in (Matt 24:20) are so powerful and true, yet SO SIMPLE and straightforward, that the vast Christian world just sails right by it!  How many of you  have debated and even argued with anti-Sabbath keepers? Often we feel it’s a  very frustrating task. They’ll counter us with mis-guided scripture such as (Col 2:16), etc. I’m about to help show you just ONE scripture you can use to effectively end the matter. Ofcourse many will CONTINUE to keep their blind glasses on, but nevertheless you will have shown them the truth which they CANNOT deny. Your reasoning will be powerful and convincing IF they care to KNOW the truth about the Sabbath.

In ( 1Peter 3:15) we read “..be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you in meekness and fear”  So we must be ready to  give our “reason” for obeying His Law and Sabbath. As many of us know the Sabbath will become  the drawing line in these last days, so this is a VERY important matter and we must  be prepared. Many times, we  as believers and obeyors of His Holy Law are asked ‘Why are you being so legalistic?”   and   “Don’t you know Jesus ‘fulfilled’ the Law and the Sabbath was done away with on the cross?”

Ok, on to the text of Matthew 24:20.   In the beginning of Chapter 24, we read that His disciples CAME TO HIM. The first ‘fact” is that Jesus is talking to His beloved disciples. And all the following words from Matt 24:2 to Matt 24:20  are SPOKEN TO HIS DISCIPLES. This is the first key we must know. Some anti-Sabbath keepers will tell you Jesus meant Matt 24:20 was to the “Jews”. That is absolutely false.

Then in Matt 24:2 to 24:19 Jesus describes the FUTURE destruction to come to Jerusalem AND TO THE WORLD IN THE LAST DAYS. This is extremely important to know. Jesus is clearly talking about future events, a time yet to come. And then Jesus says in Matt 24:20      “But pray ye, that your flight be not in the winter, or ON THE SABBATH DAY”

Ok, let’s analyze our Lord’s words and meaning.  We know that Jesus loved His disciplines, He cared about them beyond words. After describing the horrible events to come, He says “pray”  meaning ask for the Father’s guidance and help. Then we can logically ask “pray” for what?  Jesus then tells us “what” they and us must pray for!  WE  MUST  PRAY  THAT WE  DO   NOT  HAVE   TO TRAMPLE  AND DIS- HONOR  HIS HOLY DAY!  Can you imagine if Jesus says to “pray” that we don’t dis-honor His Sabbath IN  AN EMERGENCY, what about how we are looked at if we WILLINGLY trample and dis-honor it?  Jesus is plainly telling us that He and His Father will STILL have their Holy Sabbath  IN THE FUTURE!   All this is so plain and simple to understand. It can only be the devil’s work , that great blindness is prevalent on these words of Jesus.

If you are a  “Sunday” keeper, how can Matt 24:20 tell you Jesus doesn’t care about the Sabbath anymore?  Jesus, being all knowing, should have known that “His” people would have been led to abandon(after His death) the Sabbath for Sunday, right? . So there is  only confusion by Jesus’ words in Matt 24;20  to them! Sunday keeping is relied on and believed BY TRADITION. That is the God truth. They try to  twist and contort  Matt. 24:20, but 2 plus 2 will still equal 4.  God’s word is meant for the simple man(woman) and that verse makes  plain simple sense.

So be confident that those simple yet powerful words of Jesus cannot be denied and you can go forth and stand up for the Lord and His loving Laws!        Yours always, in Christ.

“Six days shall thou labor”

October 2, 2010

Often many people forget that God also said in His 4th Commandment that we should  “labor” six days a week. Infact God even “authorizes” that ” work “can be good for six days a week. So many times I hear Christians say “oh, I worship God SEVEN days a week”, when infact that is not God’s design. He knows that we must work by the sweat of our brow(due to our original sin). If we quit work and lay around we produce NOTHING and the bible says (2 Thel 3:10) “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if ANY would not work, neither should he eat”.  Laziness is detestable to God!

I remember my dear old grandpa (who lived to be 95 years!) said to me “When you are working for someone, always do what they ask, and A LITTLE MORE” This is so true!  For Christ definitely approves a hard and honest worker! Since I have become a ‘true” Christian I have be inspired to go the “extra” mile in my work. For the bible says “do ALL in the glory of God” ( 1 Cor 10:31) And I enjoy working hard and COMPLETING the job fully! Even clean up.

If you are working daily in your job and someone asks you  for something, do it with a “smile”,  that way you are doing “extra” and showing God you are doing for HIS glory! And be sure to do “honest” labor. If you are paid for certain work, do what is expected and DON’T overcharge! In my line of work , I hear SO MANY horror stories of “milking” the job and it’s makes me mad!

So let us “work” as the Lord said, but do “honest” work for His Glory. Amen!
