Burning Hellfire Forever?

One of the most profound and disturbing teachings that exist among so-called “Christians”  today is the idea that if one rejects Christ in this world, he is destined to burn alive forever and ever and ever. No escape from the scorching heat throughout eternity!

There is so much wrong about this, that one hardly knows where to begin. But we can be assured the Lord’s Word soundly rejects this Satanic teaching when one carefully studies the Scriptures and His end-time prophetic writings.

Recently a brother and I discussed this hell teaching and I was somewhat amazed that such short-sightedness and downright ignorant teachings can exist and be promoted. In our discussions, I made the point that I have often made in a real human life perspective on this eternal burning idea. In other words bring it home in a practical and human reasoning way.

How many of us have ever accidentally grabbed a kitchen pot handle that we forgot was very hot?  I am sure many of us have experienced this. We recoil back in great pain in our hand. Hopefully, we didn’t hold it long and make a scar.

Now imagine in your mind that same feeling over ALL YOUR BODY FOR ETERNITY! Yes, try and grasp that thought! Not for a day, not for a week, but for eternity, never-ending in other words. This thought just cannot be fully comprehended, try as we may. Yet this is what Satan has promulgated upon those who are hoodwinked by him.

This teaching alone, if the truth is told has probably done more to push people away from God than almost any other teaching. Why , they ask, would one want to serve a vindictive God who punishes souls for rejecting him in our short 70-80 years here on earth, with eternal burning forever and ever?

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. (Gen. 3:4)

This was his very first lie, and it has been promulgated ever since. The idea that we are never-dying souls, either to live forever or to burn forever is built upon this first lie. But God’s word clearly says —

“By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Gen. 3:19)

The Word is full of confirmations that we cease to exist at death, and only a resurrection of life or death follows —

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die..”(John 11:25)

“His breath goeth forth, he returneth to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.” (Psalms 146:4)

“The soul who sins is the one who will die.” (Ezek. 18:20)

Apostle Paul also let’s us know that death is as one “asleep”.

“And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.” ( 1 Cor. 15:17-18)

But some of the proclaimers of Satan’s trick, say that the following reference saying “worm” means human souls.

“And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against Me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.” (Isa. 66:24)

The Lord’s message of Elijah shows us that the worm context means as follows —

“Although the preceding verses of this chapter are not studied much by any, the last two have often been discussed and debated upon by many. To some they mean that there is to be an eternal torment. But does the scripture at all sustain such a thought? — No, it does not. The definition of “carcasses” is “lifeless bodies.” And the prophet Malachi says: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.” Mal. 4:1-3.

The carcasses at first and the ashes at last of the unfaithful servants being under the feet of the saints, can hardly indicate that the unfaithful are pushed into “hell fire,” there to live forever. Moreover since only the righteous are given eternal life, then the wicked must be given eternal death. Furthermore, “second death” (Rev. 20:14) cannot mean “second life.”

The theory of eternal torment has been superficially derived from the statement, “their worm shall not die.” “Their worm,” the worm that gorges on their carcasses, though, cannot possibly mean the souls of the people. At least it cannot mean such to him who digs deep into the well of salvation, and that can think and reason for himself. Such a one reads between the lines and notes the full value of each word. If “worm” means anything, then it means that the worm thrives on the carcasses, that it is the agency which reduces the constituents of the carcasses to their original elements.

Indeed, “the worm shall not die”; it shall certainly accomplish its consuming work; the carcasses shall He bring down to dust, “for dust thou art,” says the scripture, “and unto dust shalt thou return.” Gen. 3:19. It is this disintegrating agency, the consuming worm that does not die. Moreover, we are told that the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezek. 18:4).

It is plainly seen that the preaching of eternal suffering in hell fire rather than eternal death, is prompted by unscrupulous so-called soul winners endeavoring to drive their audiences into church by fright. But if they knew that only the born-again through the love of the Truth are given the right to enter into the Holy City, if they knew that those who must be frightened in are excluded from it, if they knew that anything which maketh a lie is also not given the right to enter therein, — if they wholeheartedly knew all these, they would perhaps stop preaching eternal life in hell fire, and begin to preach eternal love of the Truth.” (1 TG, no. 45, p.21-23)

Let us discuss a good example of “eternal fire” as used in the Bible  —

And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling–these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day, as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1:6-7)

Peter under the Holy Spirit describes and interprets Jude’s hellfire comments —

“He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, having reduced them to ashes, having set an example of what is coming on the ungodly..” (2 Peter 2:6)

Are those who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah now burning with “eternal fire”? Of course not but they are utterly destroyed to ashes, their souls and their works! This, the Scriptures say is “an example” –-total destruction–the end of living forevermore.

Another inspired Word of God showing an important point in our discussion–

“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.” (Ecc. 9:5)

The message expounds on this important Word —

 

“Take for example the Revelator’s statement: “…I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God,…and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood?” Rev. 6:9, 10.

   The literalist on the one hand, would interpret this scripture to mean that the souls were conscious and actually crying out, though the Bible is very explicit that “the dead know not anything.” Eccles. 9:5. And, too, were the souls under the altar literally crying out for vengeance on their murderers, then, to be consistent, the Lord’s statement, “the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto Me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10), also the statement, “all the trees of the field shall clap their hands” (Isa. 55:12), likewise must be interpreted literally in spite of the fact that it is impossible physically for blood to cry out and for trees to clap hands.

   If all, however, are obliged to admit that Abel’s blood could not literally cry out, and that trees can only figuratively clap hands, then, again to be consistent, the person given to extreme literalizing should easily take hold of the actuality that “the dead know not anything,” and that they are “asleep” — unconscious.” (Tract 3, p.89-90)

Once we truly understand that the dead are dead, and not alive (until the resurrection) the idea of going directly to heaven or hellfire ceases to be as divinely plausible, much less –truth!

To be sure, there will be burning and damnation cast upon the sinners, but NOT eternally! The message gives us a beautiful mental pictorial presentation of the final hellfire that will come to past —

 

Satan Is Loosed For a Little Season.   By the resurrection of the wicked dead, “…Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.” Rev. 20:7, 8.

   Concerning this “little season” in which Satan will be allowed to deceive the nations, the prophet Isaiah heard the Lord say:

   “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.  But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.  And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.  There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” Isa. 65:17-20.

   The reader will observe that when the Lord creates  the new heavens and the new earth, then from the time that the wicked arise from their graves to the time that they are destroyed  forever by the second death, — the “little season,” — “there shall be no more thence [among them] and infant of days [no more births], nor an old man that hath not filled his days [no more deaths before man’s days are fulfilled]: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.”

Both the old and the young (that is, those who remain in their graves during the millennium) will afterward come forth together, each to live “an hundred years” — “the little season” in which Satan will again deceive them.  There will be neither death nor birth, but all the wicked will then be forever accursed by

The Second Death.   That portion of the new earth which the feet of the wicked have trodden and defiled during the “short season,” will be purified by the fire’s coming “down from God out of heaven” and burning them and their works, while those who will inhabit the new earth for eternity, will be shielded in and about “the holy city.” Rev. 21:2.

   “And they went up on the breadth of the earth and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever…. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Rev. 20:9, 10, 14, 15.

   Since not only Satan, but also “whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life, was cast into the lake of fire,” the fire in the lake simply continues the same destruction wrought by the fire which comes “down from God out of heaven.” Rev. 20:9.  After the thousand years, in other words, the fire which comes “down from God out of heaven,” results in “the lake of fire” (Rev. 20:10) and in eternal extermination of all sinners. 

Of this final destruction, a pre-millennial demonstration is to be given when the beast and the false prophet are cast into the “lake of fire” — their grave for the thousand years.  And as the fire does not, of course, keep burning during the thousand years, the statement, “the devil…was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,  where the beast and the false prophet are” (Rev. 20:10), shows therefore that there are both a typical and an antitypical destruction; the lake of fire before the millennium, being a type of the one after the millennium. (Tract 9, p.37-39)

In closing, as we announce to the World that we are “Christian” let us teach and proclaim the TRUTH about our eternal life and sadly for many–eternal death. Burning forever and ever is Satan’s trickery upon those who are NOT being guided by the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13). Let’s humbly submit to His Word and the preponderance of evidence showing what will befall us (life or death).

Satan’s Three Pillar attacks against the Church

As with any organized war, we know that in order to succeed there must be a battle plan. The attacks must come strategic and at points of strongholds that will weaken the enemy. This is warfare 101. In this same war plan, Satan has clearly directed his attack at three SDA strongholds of faith. That is not to say that he attacks us in other areas but these three are major. 

This week’s post we shall look at these three pillars and see what the enemy of souls is doing and how we can stand firm against him in the tried, true and successful — “Thus sayeth the Lord”.

As we all know from the beginning in the garden, Satan has attacked us ever so sneakily. His plans have been stealth and so very often unnoticed by the vast majority of church members, certainly our leaders!

Satan has long been at his work of deception, in GC, p.496-497 we read —

“God in His wisdom permitted Satan to carry forward his work, until the spirit of disaffection ripened into active revolt. It was necessary for his plans to be fully developed, that their true nature and tendency might be seen by all. Lucifer, as the anointed cherub, had been highly exalted; he was greatly loved by the heavenly beings, and his influence over them was strong.

God’s government included not only the inhabitants of heaven, but of all the worlds that He had created; and Satan thought that if he could carry the angels of heaven with him in rebellion, he could carry also the other worlds.

He had artfully presented his side of the question, employing sophistry and fraud to secure his objects. His power to deceive was very great, and by disguising himself in a cloak of falsehood he had gained an advantage. Even the loyal angels could not fully discern his character or see to what his work was leading.”

Thus from a long history of practicing his work, he is working within our church to promulgate his attacks, in a form of misconstrued righteousness as we shall see. Let us look at the three pillars —

1st Pillar — The SDA Church is Babylon

The church has so much wrong with it as to constitute Babylon. This is the storyline that is promulgated today in reports, videos, websites, etc. Because of the abominations done in her, we should at once “touch no unclean thing” and have nothing more to do with her.

Satan’s go-to reference is this–

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people. Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.“I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.” (2 Cor. 6:16-18)

Ah, they say, see here, we are not to associate ourselves with evil, idols, sin of any kind. We are unclean if we are among those people. Thus, the underground “home church” is the God-approved place of worship. These home churches are growing today due to the widespread message of “Come out from among them ” meaning quit the SDA church and associate yourself with small groups or just your family worship.

And as expected, enough of these brethren form alliances and a new smaller church is formed, yet separate and apart from the main body.  But his plan works, he gets some to make a FATAL blunder. How do we know it’s fatal? The Lord’s last message of Elijah says so, let us read —

“Our relation to the church is the same as was John the Baptist’s Jesus Christ’s, and the apostles’: We have a message to proclaim to the church, and though the church officials order us out, as the Sanhedrin ordered the apostles out of the “temple,” we must in a righteous way refuse to leave, and must continue returning to the church. For if we depart and stay away and become strangers, how, then, shall we proclaim the message to our people?

   All must realize, however, that it ill becomes a Christian to cause any disturbance at anytime, especially during church services. Neither is it possible for any of us by such methods to present the message to them, or to convince them that we are speaking “the words of life.” By witnessing silently, reverently, and circumspectly in church and out of church, we shall give provocation for naught but false accusations.

   In Sabbath School, it is perfectly right and  permissible to answer questions which arise in connection with the lesson. For this, they cannot justly accuse anyone of causing disturbance, as it is in no wise an infraction of the constituted purpose and rules of the Sabbath School. But if anyone should be specifically requested not to answer questions, then let him refrain from doing so rather than cause contention and displeasure.  It is wrong to create controversy or to argue over any points which may arise. Nothing but harm to the cause of Present Truth can result from such procedure. Let your deportment win the people’s confidence.

   Two of the chief reasons for not staying away from Sabbath School and church services are, (1) that we would be depriving ourselves of the privilege of public worship in the church we helped build, and (2) that by absenting ourselves from services, we would become strangers  to our brethren and would have to become reacquainted with them if ever we were to give the message to them.

By continuing, though, to go to church, we are then, after the congregation is dismissed, afforded an opportunity to speak with the brethren in the interest of the message, urging them to investigate for themselves either by attending our studies or by reading the publications of Present Truth. Also, there is always an opportunity to get one or more new names and addresses to send in for our mailing list.

   So, if we voluntarily stay away from the church services, we lay ourselves open to the charge of being offshoots from the body, and at the same time forfeit the opportunity of coming in contact with the congregation.

   Moreover, if in this wise we separate ourselves, then in the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. when those who have not the “mark” are taken away, we shall not have the same right to claim an inheritance in the Denomination. (Answerer, vol. 4, p.30-33)

In the Tract called White House Recruiter, the same warning is given —

 “Do not, though, let any one fool you into believing that the Recruiter is calling you out of the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination and into something else.  Such allegations and insinuations come only from those who are enemies of God’s eleventh- or Judgment-hour Truth, and who are therefore neither His servants not your friends.  God’s servants get their orders from God, and friends are ever cautious not to push their friends into accepting propagated falsehood, especially when the Scriptures are under consideration.

The plain truth about the Recruiter is that Its mission is to make sure that you stay in the Denomination, and to keep you from being cast out, not by men, but by the Lord when He proceeds to inspect the guests therein and to cast out those who have failed to put on the “wedding garment” which the Recruiter brings.” (WHR, p.53)

A wealth of information! We see that the Lord requests that we remain at our place of duty, and not to abandon her ranks. Further, we read solemnly that if we do stay away from her, at the time of the Lord’s church purification, we shall have no right to claim inheritance to her! This time will be her most glorious time, the time of the last great Loud Cry.  What devastation awaits those who have proclaimed false holiness, yet killed others (spiritually)! To look from without what could have joyfully been theirs from within, no more to walk with her ever again!

“I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way that is not good, According to their own thoughts; A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things in their vessels; Who say, ‘Keep to yourself, Do not come near me, For I am holier than you!’ These are smoke in My nostrils, A fire that burns all the day.” (Isaiah 65:2-5)

2nd Pillar  — We must keep the Feast Days

In this second pillar, we find it is similar to the first, as both have the underlying motive of false holiness by certain  “righteously” cloaked SDA members. The premise is that we are to please God by continuing to fulfill the Feast holy days. Often the home church proclaimers will also be one of these Feast keeping proclaimers as well. Satan cares not how he fools us, as long as he does somehow someway!  In these first two pillars it’s from an angle of an “angel of light”, let us read —

“For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” (2 Cor. 11:14)

But once again the Lord knew ahead of time how to meet these tricks and warned, through His final message fo Elijah, to not fall for such Satanic ploys, proclaimed by his human agents dressed as angels of light. Let us read–

Broadly speaking, the law of Moses consists of three parts.  The first is the Ceremonial law, the law of the temple — the sacrificial law.  This law, of course, we today must not observe, except in antitype, for it foreshadowed things to come, particularly Christ’s first advent.  Thus it is that if we had lived in Old Testament times and had failed to comply with the sacrificial law and system of that day, we would thereby have demonstrated unbelief in Christ, Who was to come.  But since we are living in the Christian era, if we should now observe the typical sacrificial law and system, we should thereby demonstrate unbelief in Christ, Who has come.

   And so, as this law was nailed to the cross (Col. 2:14), we need not, and must not, observe it now. (TG, vol. 2, no.37, p.14)

It cannot get any clearer, we show “unbelief in Christ” if we observe the Feast days! SOP has much to say here as well–

“Christ discharged his disciples from the cares and burdens of the ancient Jewish obligations in rites and ceremonies. These no longer possessed any virtue; for type was meeting antitype in himself, the authority and foundation of all Jewish ordinances that pointed to him as the great and only efficacious offering for the sins of the world. … To continue these rites would be an insult to Jehovah.” — (Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, June 14, 1898)

3 — The sealing of the 144,000 in Revelation 7 is symbolical and it’s study is of no great importance to members of the SDA Church 

Unlike the first two pillars, this one is the most sophisticated and diabolical. The success rate of Satan’s scheme to make this subject of nearly no importance throughout the vast SDA church membership is astonishing! 

The Spirit of Prophecy led out with this very subject when Ellen White, as a young girl had her first vision. Early Writings page 13-16 describes how the 144,000 make it to the kingdom, their temptations and struggles to stay on the “narrow path”. Thus God led out our church from its inception — this subject!

Further SOP declared what we as SDA need to focus on —

“Let us strive with all the power that God has given us to be among the hundred and forty-four thousand. And let us do all that we can to help others to gain heaven.” (RH, March 9, 1905)

To be clear,  while EGW under inspiration spoke those words at that time, it applies to us right now. This concept is explained —

“The prophets of God spoke less for their own time than for the ages to come, and especially for the generation that would live amid the last scenes of this earth’s history. “Not unto themselves but unto us they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the Gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven, which things the angels desire to look into.” “All these things happened unto them for ensamples, and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” (Signs of the Times, January 13, 1898)

The Lord followed SOP with the Elijah message and that too, He led out with this omni-important 144,000 subject —

“It is the intention of this book to reveal the truth of the 144,000  mentioned in Revelation 7, but the chief object of this publication is to bring about a reformation among God’s people.” (Preface Shepherd’s Rod, volume one)

And to those of us who have read all the Lord’s Rod publications, there is no doubt about it, the subject of the 144,000 is shown from many different angles. This unfolding is certainly the Lord’s doing, to let us have a clear precise understanding of what we are striving for. There is no “B” team or second class servants from the SDA church–no! 

But this knowledge is not ignored by Satan and his workers. They know that to know about this subject in detail and have it secured in our minds as –truth, hinders their work and ultimately brings their doom as the 144,000 take the field and begin to destroy the works of Satan.

“If we do not understand the subject of the 144,000, we may not be sealed, for it would be worthless to understand it after the sealing, just as it would be of no value to understand the beast and his image after his work on earth is finished.” (SRod,  Vol. 1 p.14)

“Some day this subject must be understood, for Inspiration makes no useless statements, and it cannot be in the Bible for a trinket.  It must be understood before the number (144,000) is made or it would be of no value.  When understood, it will guide the feet of the 144,000 in the straight path just as the first, second, and third angel’s messages have led thousands of souls to Christ.”(SRod, vol. 1, p.14)

 …Its dominant doctrinal concern being the truth of the 144,000, and a correct understanding of it being a life-and-death matter to all, the Rod unfolds it from several different angles, each urging the Denomination to prepare for the glorious deliverance of the saints and against the inglorious destruction of the sinners as foretokened by the marking and slaying recorded in Ezekiel 9.” (SRod Tract, p.5-6)

“The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144,000.” (White House Recruiter, p.33)

But our adversary knows these verses and thus plans his attacks to counter them. Often when the subject is brought up to our leaders, it is dumbed down and we are told not to worry much as it’s not an important subject, “Christ’s love” is what counts they say. Satan gets the leaders to place prophecies on the backbench, yet the Lord began His last two church movements with this subject!

Today, in our church the 144,000 topic is vastly unheard of throughout her ranks! But the Lord has met this by the spreading of online media. We have alternative ways of finding out more about this subject through YouTube videos, Websites, Facebook, etc.

Now, to be sure Satan has not stopped with silencing this subject among Seventh-day Adventists, he has found a way to confuse and bewilder even some present truth believers–Davidian Seventh-day Adventists! How is this possible you ask? After all these Adventists are the real students  of the Word, they have accepted the message of Elijah (?).

In the Rod message there are some references such as the following —

“As present-truth adherents in the first-fruit period, may God help us all, Brother Sister, to be either among or along with the first fruits, the 144,000.  It is left to every one himself to determine his own destiny. “(White House Recruiter, p.46)

The reference is made to show that there will not be just 144,000 sealed from the SDA church but others, known as “those with”.  Granted , when one reads this reference it appears to say as such. But, as he is so often able to do, his deception is achieved by those not willing to study and to be “guided into all truth” (John 16:13).

The trick is exposed when we look at the verse in context. The paragraph before it says —

“..if you make your decision for the better, then you will receive God’s mark (Ezek. 9; Testimonies To Ministers, p. 445) in your foreheads, be accounted faultless before His judgment throne, and be privileged either to come up in the resurrection of Daniel 12:2, or to stand aforehand with the Lamb on Mount Zion (Rev. 14:1), thence to carry God’s message to all nations and bring all your brethren for an offering to “the house of the Lord.” Isa. 66:19, 20.  You will become part of the first fruits, the nucleus, of the Kingdom Church, the token of the second fruits of the living, of those whom you subsequently bring in.”

Therein lies the context, plain and easy to understand. The resurrected of Daniel 12:2 (faithful SDA who have died in Jesus) are the “along with” the Rod speaks about. 

So Satan’s ploy with the DSDA is to proclaim that the 144,000 are “Israelites” from the SDA church (Rev. 7:1-4) and the “those with” are the Gentiles in the SDA church. Therefore the 144,000 is not the only ones who survive the SDA church Ezek. 9 judgment. 

Thus he has a plan for the SDA, to dumb down the importance of the 144,000 and to the DSDA, to twist the subject of the 144,000.

To be sure the Rod is clear as can be about who survives the Ezek. 9 church judgment —  

“Notwithstanding the fact that “in the closing work” for the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. only 144,000 are to be sealed, according to Testimonies, vol. 3, p.266…” (Answerer, vol. 3, Question 54)

Satan knows that whoever adds or subtracts from the Revelation word, brings upon themselves a fearful and horrible demise —


“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Rev. 22:18-19)

In closing, we have seen that Satan is not resting in his unholy work of deception. The question is — are we one of those snared ones that he has fooled? God forbid!  

The Lord’s word promises us —

“And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jer. 29:13)

International Hierarchy

“And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please.” (Luke 4:5-6)

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” (John 18:36)

So clearly we know that right now, today, the world’s kingdoms belong to the enemy of souls–Satan. It has been so ever since the great deceiver tricked our first parents in that beautiful garden. However, soon the tables will turn as the following prophecy will take place —

“And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” (Daniel 11:45, 12:1)

This of course is describing the great “King of the North” (the current ruler of the Holy land and the world’s affairs)  being defeated as our King stands up and delivers his final army, the 144,000, and then the Great Multitude (Rev. 7).

It shall then be war- all-out spiritual war. 

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”(Ephesians 6:11-12)

There is an old adage that says — “Know thy enemy”. Let us now look at how the Satanic world is set-up today. There is a journalist who specializes in the globalist world framework (aka New World Order) named Jake Morphonio (Blackstone Intelligence) who produced a most knowledgeable study of the international hierarchy. We have blended his study with our knowledge from the Scriptures and world interactions.

The Word says that we, the USA would be lamb like but then speak like a dragon (Rev. 13:11) and unfortunately, though not completely yet, we are already speaking like a dragon–lying, murdering, warring, cheating,  stealing through our connections to the international hierarchy run by the Rothschilds and a few other mega rich families of the world.

Let us look at how our current world is run, its leaders, structures and purposes. The world that we do not often see yet it is there, doing all its diabolical deeds. We would like to break it down, so that by God’s grace soon this hierarchy will be exposed and brought down by His army, the 144,000.

The nature of the following hierarchy is the same as its leader–Satan. The continual breaking of God’s commandments, with its lust and greed, is the motivation.

Top Level —

Banking cartel–Rothschild led , World’s Banking system, Multi-National Corporations, Governments

This is the brains and rulers of the hierarchy. Their purpose is for world domination, centralized power and control via money, politics and armament. Yet we know from Scripture that their plans shall fail. The collapse comes when the middle east world war happens and Israel is utterly devastated (Zeph. 2:1-5 and Tract 14, p.22) and subsequently Daniel 11:45, 12:1 takes place. Remember Israel is controlled by Rothschild’s Zionist government.

Second Level — 

Policy implementation Round Table groups –Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg group, United Nations (though not fully), etc.

These are implementation arms of the Banking cartel. They actually get the policies into action from the ruling families. Formulating the World Order directions to the next level down. A supremely important job of the commissions is filter down to close liaisons, Top Level opinions and slanted “truth” that  the main stream media publishes all around the world. The Top Level own nearly all the main media companies today. BBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. thus they are able to sway public opinion.

Many of you may remember two prime examples of fake news and agenda operations. The story of Iraq killing babies in incubators, with the sobbing  girl telling her “witness” story–fake!  The media telling the world that Saddam Hussein had “weapons of mass destruction” so that the USA needed to invade this rogue nation–fake! All such media operations have continued to this day. The 9th Commandment blatantly violated again and again.

Third Level —

Shadow Governments — AKA  Deep State international personnel. State Department Bureaucrats, Corrupt Politicians, Lobbyists,  Military Industrial Complex (Boeing, Northrup-Grumman, GE, General Dynamics, Raytheon,  etc).

President Trump famously had the slogan “Drain the swamp” during his presidential campaign. He was referring to this part of the government, the embedded bureaucrats and personnel whose orders are from the  Commissions (second level). As Jake sagely observed, these are often “permanent” employees who are not elected and stay on indefinitely and unabated to carry on their orders from the levels above.

Fourth Level —

Intelligence Groups and militias — CIA, the enforcement arm of the Commissions.  Israel’s Mossad (their top central intelligence agency). Para-military groups, Mercenaries, NGO’s, Private Intelligence groups.

These groups are the dirty deed workers, they take over when the political goals are rejected by the host countries. They infiltrate the host country and begin their plans to force implementation of the goals set by the Top Level. Think Iraq, think Libya, think Syria, think Ukraine and on and on. These were not hap-hazard uprisings by loose knitted outfits, oh no, it was all staged and planned under ground.

There may be oil, gold, land ,strategic advantages, etc, that the Globalists want and if the host country does not “play ball” the pit bulls are sent out. The current situation in Venezuela is a perfect example. This country is sitting on one of the greatest known world reserves of Gold not to mention the large oil reserves they have possessed for a long time. There is no doubt that the uprisings there now are formulated by the Fourth Level.

Ok, this is a brief overview of Satan’s current world system. These workers of iniquity are moving towards a one world government, yet, little do they know all these schemes will very soon come to naught.

There is so much evil today produced by this system, not only greed and lust, but murder, stealing, child pedophilia (which is BIG among the elites), medicine control (ie. vaccinations) and on and on. The Top Level is trying to confederate the nations (AKA New World order) yet God’s word already condemns their ideas–

“Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it shall come to naught; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. (Isaiah 8:9-10)

The above world system, is being countered by what is called the eastern block , let us read —

“Now the statement “Take counsel together, and it shall come to naught; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us,” plainly says what I tried to tell you — that the nations, including the churches, have left Immanuel, “God with us,” out of their plans, that what they are trying to do they are doing on their own intiative and resources for the words “God is with us” coming from one who is not with the assemblies of the people, clearly implies that Immanuel is not with them, and that therefore their work shall come to naught.

   From these scriptures it is seen that the current events brought about by the two opposing blocks, the east and the west, are not going to work out according to human planning, that the plans made by the confederation of nations and people are to come to naught except they consult God and take Him into partnership. (TG, vol. 2, no.41, p.19-20)

The King of the North (Top Level –specifically the Rothschilds) is upset right now, no doubt about it. Their plan was to run over Syria just like Iraq, Libya and Ukraine recently. The Fourth Level went into Syria and set up ISIS as their militia to overturn the country. But Russia stepped in to thwart the Globalists plans. Russia is finally onto the Globalists plans and they see their very survival at stake should they not take action.

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” (Proverbs 21:1)

Right now we have two opposing blocks forming for the final war over Israel. Mainly, the USA, England, France, Germany, Australia, Canada and a majority of NATO countries. And the opposing bloc — Russia, China, Iran, Turkey,  Syria along with some former Soviet Union nation states.

This of course is all God’s workings to get that final “gigantic war” spoken of in  the following prophecies to come to pass —

“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.” (Zech. 14:1-3)

“Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.” (Zeph. 2:1-5)

Once this last gigantic war happens then we are told by the message the following —

“…while the powers of earth are engulfed in a gigantic war, the wicked in the church shall be cut off, no more to pass through her.” (Tract 14, p.22)

Thus the war produces the Lord’s “battle-ax”, the 144,000 (Jer. 51:20). With this army the Lord’s last day Gospel kingdom will be set up in Israel (not to be confused with a world’s secular kingdom), which heretofore was controlled by the Top Level. The tables turn FINALLY. The Lord’s people are no longer patsies, Joel describes the scene —

“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for He is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?” (Joel 2:1-11)

The current Satanic world system will soon crash and the Lord’s earthly kingdom shall appear in Israel. The hierarchy will be exposed for what it is–Satan’s scheme to perish souls from the planet. The whole planet will have one last chance at redemption and will see God’s army do battle with Satan’s army, the fighters of His truth. What side will we be on? Let’s make preparations today not tomorrow.

Mad Man Diagnosis

It is clear, the so-called “religious men” of Christ’s day were so furious with our King that they were literally driven –Mad. Reason was completely removed from them due to pride, self-assurance, ego, and all the other human weakness traits.

“Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.” (Matt. 12:22-28)

The Pharisees could not admit what was before their eyes– healing for a sick man. Their hatred was so deep that anything and everything was to be shunned that Christ spoke and did. The truth that Christ spoke and the acts He did were undeniable and could not be gainsaid. Yet they used character assassination with Him. Unfortunately, those who leaned on flesh (Jer. 17:5) , the great multitude followers of the Pharisees were deceived by them.

One of the clearest mad men exhibitions was that of Stephen’s case.

“But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” At this they covered their ears, cried out in a loud voice, and rushed together at him. and having cast him out of the city, began to stone him. And the witnesses laid aside their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. And as they were stoning Stephen, he was calling out and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” (Acts 7:55-59)

Thus we see that this hatred of the truth was the type, and today there is an anti-type, let us look at that.

As many know we here on Godsloveandlaw are all about the truth, specifically “present truth”. SOP tells what we need today —

“Satan is pressing in on every side, and unless we watch for him, and have our eyes open to his devices and snares, and have on the whole armor of God, the fiery darts of the wicked will hit us. There are many precious truths contained in the Word of God, but it is “present truth” that the flock needs now.” (Early Writings, p.63)

Our present truth today is the Lord’s final message of Elijah, the one He promised in Mal. 4:5-6. This message tells us more about Satan and his mad men’s last day ploy. Anti-type to be repeated all over as in type.

“Everything that can be done will be done to distort the Truth and thus distract and dishearten believers and draw their attention to something other than the message of Elijah.

   Thus will be the Devil’s deal while the day of God is approaching, and while Elijah is making the announcement of it as the scroll unrolls and while the prophecies concerning the day of God are being unsealed.   His work and his interpretation of the prophecies for the great day will identify him as the promised Elijah the prophet (“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 475), and this will enrage the Devil as never before.” (General Conference Special, p.7-8)

“And since the Enemy cannot get around the Truth, he does all he can to blacken character and to pick flaws in personalities.” (GCS, p.8) 

Recently we were contacted by a faithful sister of ours who is actively proclaiming the Lord’s Elijah message, even in her church! The Lord has blessed her with a church whose elders are open to truth, and do not go mad when hearing it, even though it may not be what they had once understood!

We’ll call her sister L. She has given a couple of Sabbath School lessons lately and also two of her Elders have requested private studies with her. She has reached out to us because she has been a part of our phone conference studies and has learned much. Her last call was a request for help in understanding the Rod references as follows —

 

“WHO IS THE ELIJAH OF TODAY? IS HE TO RESTORE ALL THINGS? WHAT TO DO WITH OFFSHOOTS?

   These questions are being agitated among us by an ever-increasing family of off-shoots, the most prominent and the most tormenting of which is “The Shepherd’s Rod.”  In truth its tormentings have grown to such proportions as to bring every true Seventh-day Adventist squarely face to face with it.  Indeed, brethren, its growing gravity challenges each one of us no longer to dodge the issue as did the Jews in their day, and thereby lose out, but rather to meet it as Christ met the Sanhedrin, and thus gloriously win out.

   This General Conference year should resolve in every mind, once for all, the questions as to who is who and what is what.  Even if you are not one who is personally tormented by the Rod, still you should fortify yourselves with the facts, so you may be able to administer the healing ointment of Truth to those who are suffering from its torments.

   To bring before you the seriousness of the situation in which the church finds herself at this late hour, and the remedy which God would have His people apply so as to set them free from this “offshoot” annoyance, I am therefore making this second attempt to set before you the revealed facts so that no one, whether minister or layman, need longer walk blindly and in darkness.” (GCS, p.3-4)

She said, “brother something is bothering me, the Rod calls it’s message “tormenting”, I can’t quite understand that, could you help me understand that?”

An excellent point and question to address for sure. As I supped with the Lord over this, very shortly the answer came. And that is that the type which we have already showed was Jesus dealing with the Pharisees. His truth and His miracles did indeed “torment” the non-believers! Such as the mad men Pharisees who flew into rages and total disgust upon listening or watching Jesus do His Father’s work.

Torment is indeed the right word. Thus today the Lord’s same truth is doing the same thing–tormenting our S.D.A leaders and members who have taken a “mad man” like stance against it. You want evidence? Let us look at the what the S.D.A leaders did to Victor Houteff and those who accepted the Rod message in the early days. 

“.. then came the message which we are now endeavoring to take to the Laodiceans.  The enemies of the message then left nothing unturned in their search for something against me, rather than to make sure that they were not turning down Truth.  They tried every hook and crook to pin something on me and to stop my activities, but found nothing and as a rule about 30 members of the church stayed in my special meetings each Sabbath afternoon.  Then came the time that the elders of the church refused to let us use the church for our meetings, and they made us all get out.

But one of the sisters who was living in a big house right across from the church offered her place for the meetings, and there was a great uproar among the people around the church premises.  Some were for us and some were against us.  So it was that the house across from the church was filled that afternoon and many listened from the outside through the windows.  The enemies failed to break up our meetings, and the victory was ours.

   Next they forbade us to attend their church services, and they began to disfellowship those who still wanted to attend our meetings.  They tried to deport me, too, but failed.  Then they endeavored to get a court order against any of us going to the church on Sabbath, but lost out.  Once they called the police to have me arrested on false charges that I was disturbing the meetings, but after the officers in the police station heard my story and the deacon’s charges against me, he commanded the two policemen who brought us to the station to put us in their car again, and to take us right back to the church where they picked me up!

   After this the elders endeavored to put me in an insane asylum.  The “city manager” of Glendale himself (a Seventh-day Adventist) had come to this church that Sabbath morning to lay down the charges and to see me carried away and locked in the asylum.  After talking with me for a few minutes, though, the officer did nothing but to tell me that he would not bother me again!  Then the 200 lb. city manager felt smaller than my 135 lb. weight.

   They did all these unbecoming things and many others; besides, they talked and preached against me.  And though I had no one but the Lord to defend me at any time, yet in all these the victory was mine!” (TG, vol. 2, no.35, p.22-23)

The above is just a small portion of the testimonies of those who have stepped forward with the Lord’s Shepherd’s Rod message. Even yours truly has been disfellowshipped from one of the local churches for discussing prophecy and admitting we believe in the message of the Shepherd’s Rod. Their fury and madness hasn’t changed.

SOP gives us light on our subject–

“Pilate was filled with amazement at the uncomplaining patience of the Saviour. He did not doubt that the sight of this Man, in contrast with Barabbas, would move the Jews to sympathy. But he did not understand the fanatical hatred of the priests for Him, who, as the Light of the world, had made manifest their darkness and error. They had moved the mob to a mad fury, and again priests, rulers, and people raised that awful cry, “Crucify Him, crucify Him.” At last, losing all patience with their unreasoning cruelty, Pilate cried out despairingly, “Take ye Him, and crucify Him: for I find no fault in Him.”(Desire of Ages, p.736)

“The message God sends through His servants will be scorned and derided by unfaithful shepherds, who tread down with their feet the feed of the pastures, giving the flock as food that which they have defiled. “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.”(Review and Herald, June 25, 1901)

Despite the mad men actions today, there is a “shaking” going on right now, truth lovers against truth haters and this will culminate with the Church purification (Ezek.9). Let us stand upon the truth platform even though Satan is working hard through his mad men servants to slander us, mock us, despise us, disfellowship us. His tactics are the same today as yesterday, except barbarism is against the rule of law fortunately, but our Lord is the same today as yesterday and GREATER IS HE.

Satan’s Dark Activities

Recently a ground breaking situation has happened that has the alternative media in an uproar. And once we understand this situation it should make all “seekers of righteousness” very concerned.

In Luke 4:5-6 we read —

“And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.”

So clearly we know that Satan has been given the world’s kingdoms since he made Adam and Eve fall from God’s grace into his deceptive ways. Even down to today Satan has had the power to control to a large degree the kingdoms of this earth. So how does this all fit in with a young England man named Tommy Robinson?

Some of you may recall we did a post about Kim Davis, the county clerk from Kentucky who refused to issue gay marriage licenses. It was a nation wide main headline with many coming to her defense in support of God’s traditional marriage covenant. But more importantly it was about –courage. The one character trait we see time and again through out the Bible as being truly important and valued by God.

This situation is the same in this regard, let us look more into this.

The report is that back in 2011 Robinson had a tanning salon in England. He noticed next door a young girl being shoved into a car with an older man. Upset he looked further into what was going on and found out that a pedophile ring was going on within his neighborhood! He began to organize a counter movement. He’s been involved in fighting this problem since. Granted he is no saint according to his past history yet this cause is worthy to fight for. (Source: Infowars)

Fast forward to a few days ago. Robinson was outside a Leeds court-house live streaming and reporting a pedophile case involving a gang rape from outside the building. Shortly thereafter seven British police officers arrived and hand cuffed Tommy for “disturbing the peace”. He was hauled off in a paddy wagon and very little has been known about him since. This has outraged the worldwide online community. We say “online” because the mainstream media has all but blacked out this story. Who runs the world? Let us not for a minute think that “good guys” are in charge of this world and media.

Further  recent news shows the deputy Pope , George Pell, has been arrested for child trafficking for sexual purposes! This is a massive underground network worldwide.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12)

There has been mass protests in England over this and they are spreading to other countries. People are getting enlightened of the “wickedness in high places” and they are not happy. It’s all a prelude to the great uncovering of evil by God’s servants.

As this event will have some profound repercussions as it has shines a bright light on the dark sinister world-wide network of sex slavery and pedophilia, yet Britain is compounding this case by attempting to silence it. It appears the higher ups over there are implicit.

If you are a British journalist and you even  REPORT on this case, you can go to jail! Wow, tell us we are not living in the 1984 Orwellian world.

This is not a “mom and pop” network. No! It’s involving the higher echelons of our world, the richest and most powerful men in the world — “wickedness in high places”.  Yet this horrible business will shortly come to an end because there is the Word of God that will soon takeover.

God’s righteous kingdom is ripe for its appearance brethren and this case is a prime example of the Satanic perversion that the servants of God will expose and deal with, complete with God’s power! Let us read of God’s soon to come plan —

“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;  A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.  Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lordis great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:  And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lordyour God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.” (Joel 2:1-13)

So what do we have now going on behind the scenes? Satan’s undercover dark world of sex trafficking, drug dealing, Satan worshiping, false monetary systems,  and other dark activities. Indeed, the great spiritual battle is coming  and ultimately the evil will  be destroyed!

Amazingly, even though the above is terrible, we know that Satan’s greatest traps are not for the ignorant, but set for “religious folk”. Specifically those who claim to be His people but “knoweth not” (Rev. 3:17). Those who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.

Let us read what the message tells us Satan is up to today with us religious folk aka “remnant people” —

“..the old Devil has already put all his forces to work, piping pleasing tunes to lure Truth seekers to climb aboard his golden bandwagon.   Its glittering tinsel of truth is already beguiling many with his wares while his captains and generals are to the top of their voices shouting their “Hallelujahs,” “Holy Ghost,” “gift of healing,” “gift of tongues,” “gift of miracles,” and all the rest, although the entire fanfare is devoid even of a spark of life. 

Every wind of doctrine will be blowing, false revivals and reformations will be at their peak.  Everything that can be done will be done to distort the Truth and thus distract and dishearten believers and draw their attention to something other than the message of Elijah.

   Thus will be the Devil’s deal while the day of God is approaching, and while Elijah is making the announcement of it as the scroll unrolls and while the prophecies concerning the day of God are being unsealed.  

His work and his interpretation of the prophecies for the great day will identify him as the promised Elijah the prophet (“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 475), and this will enrage the Devil as never before.  Nevertheless, one’s only safety will be in the teaching of Elijah, for there will be no other voice of timely Truth and authority to whom one may turn.  Any others will lead their victims blind-folded into perdition.” (General Conference Special, p.7-8)

“The enemy is preparing for his last campaign against the church. He has so concealed himself from view that many can hardly believe that he exists, much less can they be convinced of his amazing activity and power. They have to a great extent forgotten his past record; and when he makes another advance move, they will not recognize him as their enemy, that old serpent, but they will consider him a friend, one who is doing a good work.

Boasting of their independence they will, under his specious, bewitching influence, obey the worst impulses of the human heart and yet believe that God is leading them. Could their eyes be opened to distinguish their captain, they would see that they are not serving God, but the enemy of all righteousness. They would see that their boasted independence is one of the heaviest fetters Satan can rivet on unbalanced minds.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.294)

“There are but two parties. Satan works with his crooked, deceiving power, and through strong delusions he catches all who do not abide in the truth, who have turned away their ears from the truth, and have turned unto fables. Satan himself abode not in the truth; he is the mystery of iniquity. Through his subtlety he gives to his soul-destroying errors the appearance of truth. Herein is their power to deceive.

It is because they are a counterfeit of the truth that spiritualism, theosophy, and the like deceptions gain such power over the minds of men. Herein is the masterlyworking of Satan. He pretends to be the saviour of man, the benefactor of the human race, and thus he more readily lures his victims to destruction.”(Testimonies to Ministers, p 365.)

So Satan is working his two-prong attack, to those who could care less, and to those who are religious folk and particularly those who claim to be in God’s remnant church.

In closing, let us keep vigilant as our adversary is a roaring lion as Scriptures tells us, and right now the workers of darkness are slowly but surely being exposed. Very soon the full exposure will come and yet even so Satan will have one more trick up his sleeve, sending his miracle-working power of the 666 man and the false prophet against God servants, the 144,000 and the Great Multitude (Rev. 7:9). There will be only two sides. Let’s be ready.

The Roman Catholic and Russia Focus

When we were kids many of us can remember a brother or sister, even a playful parent saying, “Watch out the bogey man is going to get you” when we turned off the lights. Teasing us as to a mysterious monster lurking in the background. Incredibly Satan has/is doing this same trick yet he’s not fooling around. For the heathen, he has made the Russian nation the big bad bogey man, for us the Lord’s remnant church, he’s made the Roman Catholic church the sinister bogey man almost ready to get us!

Both of these nonsense ploys are really a snare and should be exposed for what they are–Satan’s tricks.

Let us first look at the Russia situation. For present truth believers it is well-known that Russia along with China/Iran/Syria form the basis  for the counter force that will soon put an end to the “Assyrian”world rulership, which the Word describes as  the white Christian english speaking nations. This is portrayed in many angles such as the “King of the North” coming to his end in Daniel 11 and Revelation 17 and 18.

Briefly, after the gigantic war happens over the middle east (Zeph. chapter 2) and the Holy land is made desolate and cleared out for the return of His 144,000 servants as He promised through out Scripture, the victorious aforementioned nations shall then capitulate, as the word says,

“For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” (Rev. 17:17)

Russia and their partners shall give to the “beast” , the false religious world system, their victory for a short time.

But let us see what is happening right now with the King of the North’s grand schemes. As many know we have just witnessed a truly remarkable USA election. The long shot came home for the victory. So Satan, as we all know hates “right doing”. Anyone or nation that stands up for justice and peace and order Satan will certainly attempt to disrupt or portray in the worst light possible. But we as the masses, are fed daily propaganda and this comes through the King of the North’s vast media network. The one world agenda is being played out right now and there is one big roadblock– Russia.

So what is Satan doing through his earthly servants?  Provide a false narrative on the big bad bogey man Russia. The 9th Commandment says,

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” (Exodus 20:16)

Keep in mind this is the heathen bogey man, we as SDA aren’t so much aware of this as we should be. The other bogey man, the Catholic Church, has got much of our attention.

For example, recently in the besieged city of Aleppo, Russia set up on the outskirts several small tent hospitals to help the injured and dying. This was bombed and lives were lost including innocent doctors and staff. But  hardly not ONE WORD of condemnation was said about it through out the King of the North’s media empire (ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, FOX, CNN. etc.)! This innocent blood shed will not be allowed much longer. Just as Abel’s blood came up to God’s presence, we can be assured this blood is up there.

“If God abhors one sin above another, of which His people are guilty, it is doing nothing in case of an emergency.” (Testimonies, vol. 3, p.281)

We as mainstream mass media readers are told the narrative that Syria has bad government and needs to be brought down. This same story worked in bringing down Iraq, Egypt, Libya and so on.So why stop there?

Some may wonder how is it that one can know what really is happening over in Syria? It is because one must look at “both sides” of the story. The other side which the main stream media does not want people to know about, we have found quite humble and honest in showing real and verifiable “proof” of the real story of the Syria conflict. We suggest that one get prepared by viewing “real news” around the world because, the middle east is very soon to be the new world focus. Russia will be a main player in end time events so it’s good to get familiar with this nation and it’s goals and policies. To be sure Russia now is threatening the King of the North’s plans.

In Daniel 11:44 it says-

“But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.”

Russia is this north country (from the Holy Land perspective) and China is the east country. These two countries trouble the King of the North and as such we have witnessed much blatant country destroying (via their surrogates –Nato led by the UK and USA, and now particularly ISIS and the other terrorists) in the middle east and surrounding areas. Now you can see why the King of the North is troubled. Russia and to a lesser degree, China, are upsetting his one world domination plans.

Now let’s look at Satan’s other bogey man–the Catholic Church. All one needs to do today is just review some SDA YouTube prophecy videos and you’ll see Walter Vieth, Doug Batchelor, Stephen Bohr and a host of other SDA leaders promoting the idea that the big bad Catholic Church is about to dominate the world and cause untold havoc everywhere by enacting the dreadful Sunday law!
But the Lord knew all about this way back, and He told His Elijah prophet to update us about this trick, let us read–

“Question: The Shepherd’s Rod teaches that the shaking is to be caused by a message to the church (“Early Writings” p. 270), but the denomination teaches that the shaking will be caused by the “Blue Sunday Law.”  If the denomination is right, as we believe she is, then The Shepherd’s Rod is certainly wrong on the subject of the shaking.”

“Answer–

….As the “Blue Sunday Law” is to be enacted by Satan’s own will, not by God’s, then such a method to purify the church would not only be contrary to every inspired statement but also to Satan’s determined purpose, for his aim is not to bring the tares and then pluck them out, but rather to choke out the wheat by their continued presence. Neither is his intention to fulfill the prophecies, for that is what he would be doing if he should enact blue Sunday laws, but rather defeat them. Therefore, if the church is to be purified by Satan’s laws he would be doing the work which God has assigned to His servants and which He is to do Himself.

   Is Satan working for God’s and His church’s interest or against? If against, he will never do one thing to purify the church or to fulfill the prophecy.

   The only thing that would compel him to pass blue Sunday laws and go “to make war with the remnant of her seed” (with those that are left, Rev. 12:17) is the purity of the church when God by the slaughter weapons of Ezekiel Nine takes away the tares which received not the mark, and even then Satan will not enact “blue Sunday laws” until after he has exhausted every other weapon against the church.

Therefore, as long as the church remains in her present Laodicean condition, there will be no blue laws or “war” against her, but a bluff only to make her members believe that they are free from his snares and that he is still trying to cause them to fall. But the worst of it all is in that they are sound asleep, which is shown by the fact that they still think Satan is working terribly hard to fulfill God’s word by trying to pass blue laws and are not aware that he is only playing with them as a cat with a mouse, and the brethren “to whom the Lord has entrusted the spiritual interests of the people” (“Testimonies for the Church,” Vol. 5, p. 211) instead of sounding the alarm to arouse the church are determined to even silence the voice of the Rod, and thus rocking her to a more sound sleep!” (Sym. Code, vol. 2 no.1 , p.9-10)

The Spirit of Prophecy also tells us that the RCC will not be the final world power.

“I saw that the two-horned beast had a dragon’s mouth, and that his power was in his head, and that the decree would go out of his mouth. Then I saw the Mother of Harlots; that the mother was not the daughters, but separate and distinct from them. She has had her day, and it is past, and her daughters, the Protestant sects, were the next to come on the stage and act out the same mind that the mother had when she persecuted the saints. I saw that as the mother has been declining in power, the daughters had been growing, and soon they will exercise the power once exercised by the mother.” (SpM, p.1 -copy of three early visions)

The Protestant churches are the real movers and shakers soon to take the stage. Yes, they follow the beast’s image (Sunday worship) but they do not get their calling orders from Rome. “She has had her day” as Inspiration says, but Satan has led many of us to think her day is about to now come!

So there is now a two-fold deception going on from our adversary based on false witness. One to the world and one to the church. Both are leading their surface readers and studiers down a false path. As we have shown repeatedly my SDA brethren, we are accountable for the Lord’s light and if we truly keep pace with it, we will clearly discern the Truth from falsehood. We are guaranteed to know Truth when we do His will.

“If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of Myself.” (John 7:17)

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

Satan’s Last Deception

A couple weeks back, I was having the church lunch and my wife and I happened to sit by a brother we’ll call brother P. He is a well studied SDA brother and even holds a class after Sabbath services. Over the years I have provided him with much material in the form of CD’s, DVD’s and Tracts. But during our lunch it became apparent that the following prophecy from the Spirit of Prophecy is truly being fulfilled right now.

The Last Deception of Satan

Satan is … constantly pressing in the spurious—to lead away from the truth. The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God’s remnant people in the true testimony.—Letter 12, 1890. 1SM 48.3

There will be a hatred kindled against the testimonies which is satanic. The workings of Satan will be to unsettle the faith of the churches in them, for this reason: Satan cannot have so clear a track to bring in his deceptions and bind up souls in his delusions if the warnings and reproofs and counsels of the Spirit of God are heeded.—Letter 40, 1890.

I was familiar with these words of Inspiration but sometimes you witness an experience that reminds you of the clear truth of it. Such was the case with brother P. We started out discussing some Scripture, specifically about the woman of Revelation 17. We went into it and he was quasi convinced (not thoroughly) that the woman could not be the Roman Catholic church solely, but a composite of the world’s history of false religion.

But the conversation soon turned to the subject of how we are saved. He mentioned that we are saved by grace, which I totally agreed with. However I mentioned that we must not have one spot or stain upon our character or we’ll not make the Kingdom. He said , “where do you get that?” I responded from the Testimonies, vol.5, p.214. I didn’t have the Testimonies with me but for explanation it reads–

“Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God while our characters have one spot or stain upon them. It is left with us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement. Then the latter rain will fall upon us as the early rain fell upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost.” 

He responded, “we are to use the Bible first and foremost.”  I concurred but said that SOP was God’s Truth as well and it was under Inspiration. It’s light was a compliment to the Bible and helped us know more of God’s will.

But he genuinely did not appear comfortable agreeing with me that SOP was God’s word. His attitude was if it’s not in the Bible, it’s not worth knowing about. And that is when the aforementioned Inspired words came back to me. I thought  –how true!

Then he proceeded to explain more on how we are saved. He basic ideas were that Christ’s sacrifice covers our sins. This of course is true but as the ol saying goes –“we are saved FROM our sins not IN them.”

I again pointed out that if one has an habitual sin (drinking coffee or tea for example)then that one has a “spot or stain” upon one’s soul and thus is in direct opposition of God’s word as explained by SOP(See Counsel on Diet and Foods, p.425) . Further the Bible is clear on this point I said —

“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.” (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Satan is pulling out all stops right now as he knows his time is almost over. And the Testimonies give us much guidance on our walk and our ways that will please God. But if one has some sins he cherishes then it will be clear that any Inspired words that exposes them (such as the Testimonies) , are not welcomed.

“..be sure your sin will find you out.” (Numbers 32:23)

To help explain how the SOP writings are needed to help clarify certain areas that the Lord wanted clarified, I asked him –where in the Bible does it say that Ezek. 9 and Rev. 7 sealings/markings are one and the same? He did not know and then I pointed out that this knowledge was given us through Testimonies to Ministers, p.445.  This did not seem to make any important point to him and again, I was brought back to further truth from God’s word–

“.. they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” (2 Thes. 2:10)

We have pointed this out time and again, we MUST love the truth even if it goes against what we have been taught or think. For the Truth is –Christ

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”(John 14:6)

In our closing moments of our SDA probation we must remember that we, as His remnant church will be the “first”  to be judged , when the Lord begins the Judgment for the Living (See Testimonies vol. 5, p.211)

So where would we stand if we disregarded the Testimonies (SOP) ? We wouldn’t know that Ezek.9 and Rev. 7 are one and the same sealing , and that the SDA church is the first to experience God’s judgments. God does not bring His messengers for no reason. His message is to be heeded. SOP explains more about people like brother P–

“If we do our very best to present the truth in its stirring character, crossing the opinions and ideas of others, it will be misinterpreted, misapplied, and misstated, to those who are entertaining error, in order to make it appear in an objectionable light. There are few to whom you bring the truth, who have not been drinking of the wine of Babylon. It is hard for them to comprehend the truth, therefore the necessity of teaching it as it is in Jesus.”—(Review and Herald,  June 3, 1890)

Let us remember that we are under assault from the Satanic forces emerging from all angles.And as we have learned their very last deception is ongoing right now–unbelief in the Testimonies. Many are telling us “forget about SOP.” Ok what if we do? The following is just a small smidgen of what we would not know.

  1. As mentioned the sealing of Ezek. 9 and Rev. 7 are one and the same. John described the sealing, Ezekiel described what happened to those not sealed. Both angles are shown us.(Testimonies to Min. p.445)
  2. What “virgins” mean in Rev.14:4. (Christ Object Lessons , p.406)
  3. What the winds mean in Rev. 7 (Testimonies vol. 5, p.152)
  4. Coffee and Tea drinking is a sin (Counsels on Diet and Foods, p.425)
  5. And hundreds of other Truth nuggets

God’s truth is progressing and for us as SDA, we must know who He has spoken through as His vision of Zech. 4  pointed out last week. Two prophets in the last days are sent–Sister Ellen White and Brother Victor Houteff. Don’t be fooled that their message is  irrelevant and not needed, that’s what Satan wants you to think. God says of those He sends “Listen”. Satan and his workers say, “No need to listen”.

Who is Abaddon and Apollyon, Satan or Christ?

One of the most noted long running Biblical controversies involves the question — who does Abaddon and Apollyon represent? Generally speaking there is a majority opinion among Bible scholars that it is Satan or one of his angels. Our historical SDA belief is not clear and not much help here.

One of the end time prophecies revealed to us, His remnant church, was the understanding of Zech. 4, the two olive trees (old and new Testament) , the two pipes (God appointed two end time interpreters), seven tubes (ministers) going from the Golden Bowl (the Inspired writings) down to the seven candlesticks (the churches of God). In this symbolism we learn how the Lord’s system of Biblical truth is conveyed and passed down to His people and exposing the path of usurpers and false prophets. Because Zech. 4 was not properly understood until the Lord sent His last prophet to our church–Victor Houteff, many could not truly know subjects like our study subject. In other words , there are all kinds of man-made ideas floated around as–truth. But let us now sink the mine shaft of truth way down and get some pure golden nuggets of glistening gold from the Golden Bowl.

First, let’s look at the specific Bible verses–

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.” (Rev. 9:1)

“And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.” (Rev. 9:11)

The following is generally the prevailing opinion concerning Abaddon and Apollyon.

“In Revelation 9:11, Abaddon is described as “Destroyer”,[6] the angel of the abyss,[6] and as the king of a plague of locusts resembling horses with crowned human faces, women’s hair, lions’ teeth, wings, iron breast-plates, and a tail with a scorpion’s stinger that torments for five months anyone who does not have the seal of God on their foreheads.[7]

The symbolism of Revelation 9:11 leaves the identity of Abaddon open to interpretation. Protestant commentator Matthew Henry (1708) believed Abaddon to be the Antichrist,[8] whereas the Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary (1871) and Henry H. Halley (1922) identified the angel as Satan.[9][10][11] Latter-Day Saints believe that the use of “Abaddon” in Revelation 9 refers to the devil.[12]

In contrast, the Methodist publication The Interpreter’s Bible states: “Abaddon, however, is an angel not of Satan but of God, performing his work of destruction at God’s bidding”, citing the context at Revelation chapter 20, verses 1 through 3.[13][page needed] Jehovah’s Witnesses as well cite Revelation 20:1-3 where the angel having “the key of the abyss” is actually shown to be a representative of God, one from heaven, and, rather than being “satanic”, is the one that binds Satan and hurls him into the abyss; concluding that “Abaddon” is another name for Jesus Christ after his resurrection.”[14] (Wikipedia)

As we can see there is a variety of opinions. But generally throughout Christendom the belief is that these two titles describe Satan. The noted exceptions are the Methodists ,Jehovah Witnesses and Davidian SDA. However, such ideas most likely are arrived at by thinking that “a star fell from heaven” means Satan and his fall. And then because he falls he now has the symbolical key to hell. Sure seems plausible if one surface reads.

But as we mentioned we are going to go beyond surface reading and understandings into an understanding that is all-encompassing, just as the Lord’s promised restoration shows us (Matt.17:11).

To understand the meaning of the “star” and “bottomless pit” mentioned in Rev. 9:1,  we read–

Rev. 9:1-4. “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.  And He opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.  And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.  And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”

   Taking in order the parts (the “star,” the “key,” the “pit,” the “smoke,” the darkness, and the locusts) of this fifth trumpet symbolism, we come first to

The Star.

   Just as did the star of the third trumpet, so this  fifth-trumpet star descended from heaven to earth.  And as the third-trumpet “star” has been conclusively identified as representing the advent of the Bible then this latter one, since it is similar to the former must stand for something the equivalent of It.

   The Bible and Christ being complementary affinities, each the Word of God (John 1:1-14), then the fact that the descent of the first “star” is symbolical of the advent of the Bible, compels the conclusion that the descent of the second star is symbolical of the first advent of Christ.  Moreover, the star is personified as “Him” (masculine in gender), thus being limited to a male person.  And finally Christ Himself gives testimony that He is “the bright and morning star.” Rev. 22:16.  To Him, be it remembered, was given

“The Key of the Bottomless Pit.”

   “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.” Rev. 20:1, 2.

   As Christ is the one who secures Satan’s captivity, thereby ushering in the millennium, He alone can be fittingly symbolized by the “angel…having the key of the bottomless pit,” and by the “star” to whom the “key” was given.  And as the “giving” of a thing to any certain one must precede the having” of it by that one, the verbs “given” (Rev. 9:1) and “having” (Rev. 20:1; 1:18)  point, of course, to two different times.  Obviously, therefore, Christ received the “key” at the sounding  of the fifth trumpet — sometime before the millennium.  Hence at the commencement of the millennium He already has it.

   Christ’s mission being to bring deliverance from the prison house of sin and of death (the bottomless pit), and to do so through the preaching of the gospel,  the key, therefore, must be figurative of the gospel,  the only power that is able to set free those who are  imprisoned in

The “Bottomless Pit.”

   Since the “bottomless pit” of Revelation 20:3 is symbolical of the earth as a prison house during the millennium, then the “bottomless pit” of Revelation 9:1, being identical, must likewise be symbolical of the earth as a prison house at another time.

   This implicitly Biblical interpretation of the “star,” the “key,” and the “bottomless pit,” reveals  that the earth, at Christ’s first advent, had become a prison house (a pit) for God’s people and that Christ came to open it in order to save them.

   The very fact that God’s people are vested with the power to keep open the bottomless pit, then should they be defeated, the pit would be shut and would become a prison house from which there would be no escape unless it be reopened.  And so Satan in the latter days of the Jews, as sacred history records, attacked them, took them captive, and thus shut the pit.  And knowing that when the Saviour should come, He would open it, the dragon therefore stood ready to devour the “child as soon as it was born.” Rev. 12:4. 

But losing sight of the infant Christ, he incited Herod to slay “all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under” (Matt. 2:16), in the hope of making rid of the Saviour.  Under the protection  of Providence, however, Christ was kept from the  bloody hand of Herod.  Then subsequently with the  gospel key, He opened the “pit” and freed His people.  This, He Himself avowed:

   “The Spirit of the Lord,” He declared, is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering  of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18, 19. (Tract 5, p.58-61)

To the names and their meaning we read–

“Rev. 9:11. “And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.”

   Genuine Christians, as subjects of the kingdom of Christ, have over them Christ, their King.  Ruling over them in Old Testament time (1 Cor. 10:1-4)  as well as in New Testament time, He is therefore King over them in both periods.  Consequently the Old Testament Scriptures being originally written  in the Hebrew tongue give Him the name Abaddon, whereas the New Testament Scriptures, being originally written in the Greek, give Him the name Apollyon.

   In the blazing light of this symbol, intensifying the illumination from the whole series of symbols of which it is a part, and which no human mind could either have devised or thus rightly interpreted, Christ is clearly seen to be King of His people in both the Old and the New Testament periods, and Author of the Scriptures in both the Hebrew and the Greek.  And from this fact it follows that as He is “the Word” (the Bible in human form), His Hebrew name, Abaddon, is also the name of the Old Testament Scriptures, and His Greek name, Apollyon, is also the name of the New Testament Scriptures.

   Showing that he recognized Christ’s sovereignty over the church not only in the New Testament  period but also in the Old Testament period,  Paul, in his epistle to the Corinthians, declared:  “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were…baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea:…and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Cor. 10:1-4.

   Woe to him who accepts the one Testament and casts aside the other, pays no attention to either, or exalts tradition above both!

   Abaddon, Christ’s name in the Hebrew, signifying Him as a “destroyer,” shows that in the Old Testament period He simply destroyed many of His enemies; whereas Apollyon, His name in the Greek, signifying Him as an “exterminator,” shows that in the New Testament period He will exterminate all the wicked. (What beautiful precision  of connotation in these symbolic appellations!)  And this exterminatory work is vividly pictured in the climactic scene:

   “And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.  And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.” Rev. 19:15-18.

   To those, therefore, who accept Christ as their King, He is a Saviour, while to those who refuse to have Him rule over them (Luke 19:14), He is a destroyer.  Hence, accordingly, the curses, or judgments, fall (as the trumpets reveal) upon those who reject the teachings and the authority of the Bible, and who as a result do not have the seal.

   These solemn facts gravely admonish us not to forget the Bible’s warning that our treatment of It will bring one of two results — death or life. (Tract 5, p.69-72)

Christendom has a hard time calling Christ “Destroyer”and “Exterminator”, they cannot fathom the vengeance of Christ to justify His Truth. The Bible calls Him this and we must accept and acknowledge it. Let us not be on the losing end of the soon to come Destroyer/ Exterminator, rather with Godly fear and hope keep living everyday to do as the Word says–

“He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.” (1 John 2:6)

A Deadly Rumor

The dictionary describes the word “Rumor” as –  “a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth. Gossip, hearsay, talk, speculation.”

A while back we posted about how a SDA woman was trying to learn the Lord’s message of Elijah  and then later she came in contact with her fellow SDA friend who told her in no uncertain terms a most terrible and alarming falsehood. The “Shepherd’s Rod” people teach that one day they will rise up in the SDA church and commit the killing told of in Ezekiel 9.

What we’d like to do in this post is make a comprehensive verifiable post with documented writings that one may copy and therefore by ready to show anyone who would so recklessly and naively utter those same sentiments to their victims. Sadly, as I get more seasoned in the message, this truly disgusting and Satanic rumor really amazes me and is spread more than people realize.

Recently it has become painfully clear that this sister who was so excited to know new truth from the Lord, has been scarred. What is even worse is that her favorite New York phone ministry (they provide fellowship and Bible studies via phone conferencing) had a minister  a few days after she heard that charge from the sister, who said the same thing! Two rumor blows within two weeks!

She has expressed no further desire to study the message of the hour. The Satanic work has done its damage. Yet another soul has been stopped from stepping into the ark for us today (learning the sealing message), to be ready for the church’s “surprise” judgment (Mal. 3:1-2). Things may change, but Satan’s rumor work has affected her and only the Holy Spirit can draw her back now.

But this sister is not totally guiltless here. God requires each of us to search out the Truth and we cannot trust in man (ie. rumors) over studying ourselves.

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, who heart turns away from the Lord.”(Jer. 17:5)

But let us look at concrete Biblical, Spirit of Prophecy, and Elijah message writings concerning who are the ones that the Lord directs to actually “do” the execution of judgment upon God’s house.

Before we go further , however, we as SDA should know that it was our own prophetess who let us know that this Ezekiel 9 will affect us as a church. This was NOT started by Victor Houteff. He shed further light on this but  did not originate this application to the church.

“Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will you hear? Will you receive His message? Will you be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity.” (Manuscript Releases, vol. 1, page 260)

The “every case” is every SDA member (“people who have such great light and important truths revealed to them”), the judgment to come will reveal survivors who live forever or fallen ones who fall in the church judgment. There may be some who do not fall but their fate is even worse as they see what they have done by fighting the Lord’s message, the damage they caused. There will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (See SRod, vol. 2, p.185-186)

“He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had  the writer’s inkhorn by his side;” (Ezekiel 9:1-3)

The area of mis-application stems from the usage of “men” and “man”. These words obviously could be taken literally if one did not have a firm grasp on Inspiration. Satan knows how so many people can be hood winked into making false interpretations. Hence the groundwork of a Satanic rumor is formed.

One needs to understand that Scripture can describe angels as a human appearance  or “man”. Several references prove our case.

“And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.” (Daniel 8:15)

“Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” (Daniel 9:21)

“I looked up and saw a man dressed in linen clothing, with a belt of pure gold around his waist.” (Daniel 10:5)

Lot calls the two angels who came to him while in Sodom  “men” as well–

“..unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.” (Genesis 19:8)

So we see that angels can be described as men. Let us now move on to the Spirit of Prophecy. As mentioned our prophetess was first to speak about the church judgment in regards to Ezek. 9 and the following is quite clear who is allowed to execute God’s judgments.

“To His angels He gives the commission to execute His judgments. Let the ministers awake, let them take in the situation. The work of judgment begins at the sanctuary. “And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar.” Read Ezekiel 9:2-7.” (Testimonies to Min. p.431)

“Angels keep a faithful record of every man’s work, and as judgment passes upon the house of God, the sentence of each is recorded by his name, and the angel is commissioned to spare not the unfaithful servants, but to cut them down at the time of slaughter.Here we see that the church–the Lord’s sanctuary–was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God.” (Testimonies, vol.1, p.198)

“When God was about to smite the first-born of Egypt, He commanded the Israelites to gather their children from among the Egyptians into their own dwellings and strike their door posts with blood, that the destroying angel might see it and pass over their homes. It was the work of parents to gather in their children. This is your work, this is my work, and the work of every mother who believes the truth. The angel is to place a mark upon the forehead of all who are separated from sin and sinners, and the destroying angel will follow, to slay utterly both old and young.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.505)

“Let both grow together until the harvest;” then the angels will gather out the tares, which will be appointed to destruction…. The time of the harvest will fully determine the character of the two classes specified under the figure of the tares and the wheat. The work of separation is given to the angels of God, and not committed into the hands of any man.” (Review and Herald, Sept. 5, 1893)

Clearly Inspiration shows us the dire and solemn responsibility given not to man but to the angels of God.

Ok, let’s go straight to the horse’s mouth as they say. Let’s look at what is published in the Shepherd’s Rod.

“…the enemy of truth is determined that light shall not reach the people (“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 411), also that he is doing everything to tear down Mt. Carmel Center and the work she is carrying on.

1. “I have been told,” says one, “that Mt. Carmel Center is being builded as a sort of fort where weapons are being stored for the purpose of slaying all the S.D.A.’s who do not accept the message of the Rod.  Is this true?”

Nothing could be quite so absurd as the story which the questioner has been told, and we admonish our brethren not to believe what they are told by Mt. Carmel’s enemies, any more than while they were investigating the Sabbath truth they believed the wild stories told about Adventists.” (Symbolic Code, vol. 3, no.11-12, p.2)

Question: “Are the 144,000, after being sealed, to go and kill all the others in the S.D.A. church who failed to receive the seal?”

   Answer: The slaying of the tares in the church is plainly foretold that this work is not man’s duty to perform. The prophet Ezekiel, in vision, was shown that the angels who bear the slaughter weapons are the ones whom the Lord commissioned to “slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women”…but to “come not near any man upon whom is the mark.” (Ezek. 9:6.) The Lord makes this destruction of the “tares” still plainer by His parabolic illustration, saying:

   “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into My barn.”

   “So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.” (Matt. 13:30, 49.)(Symbolic Code, vol. 1, no. 16, p.3)

There we have it. English language cannot be more clear. Victor Houteff responded to the slanderous rumor concerning our subject matter leaving no doubt that the Shepherd’s Rod teaching  (Also known as the Davidian Seventh-day Adventist teachings) does NOT advocate any murderous acts to be committed by any human beings. You may search ALL the writings of the message, Tracts, Timely Greetings, Shepherd’s Rod books (vol. 1 and 2), The Answerer, Jezreel Letters, and the Symbolic Codes and not fine ONE reference that has a smidgen of even a hint that such terrible teachings exist.

So what does this whole exercise tell us? Inspiration spells it out without doubt.

“The more you are jostled, misapprehended, misstated, misrepresented, the more evidence you have that you are doing a work for the Master, and the more closely you must cling to your Saviour.” (Testimonies, vol. 8, p.130)

“The Devil will use any willing tool to slander and abuse the followers of Jesus Christ. Scoffers will scoff, and liars will lie, whether they bear the title of Reverend, or be patrons of brothels. And the higher the position, the greater the criminality.” (Ascension Robes, p.6)

If you happen to unfortunately come in contact with one who, unsuspectingly, spreads Satan’s lie about this deadly rumor, ask them one simple question.

Can you provide me with any references from the Shepherd’s Rod as proof of what you say? As sure as the Lord lives they will vacillate  and never perform their Christian duty to provide honest evidence of such charge. The honest will admit they “heard” of the charge but have no concrete evidence.

“Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? (John 7:50)

The Holy Commandments are God’s precious laws that He wants obeyed and one of those is the 9th Commandment. “Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

Let’s look at how the Satanic rumor has evolved:

  1. In 1930 Victor Houteff published the first of the many publications ,which  was entitled “The Shepherd’s Rod”,volume 1
  2. In the October 15, 1935 news publication (Symbolic Code) we find one of the first suggestions that the idea that the 144,000 will, after being sealed, commit the work of the angels of Ezek.9 was circulating. (See above reference)
  3. In November of 1937, we see that the rumor was more defined by the comment in Sym. Code vol. 3, no.11-12, p.2 (See above ref.) Obviously the rumor had developed to the point that God’s servant was now making a sort of “fort” to commit future killings. True absurdity.
  4. Fast forward to Waco Texas, 1993. David Koresh and his band of so called “Davidians” (they were Branch Davidians, not connected to original doctrinal Davidian SDA groups) engaged in the tragic events with government ATF personnel. Satan accomplishes his goal–taint the name –Davidian. Koresh had led a commune of sorts, engaging in terrible activities, drugs, alcohol, sex with minors, etc.
  5. Soon these events filtered through out the world, giving further ammunition that “Davidians” are aggressive, gun loving, off-shoot people who are not right with God. The confusion of the Branch DSDA with the true DSDA was now common place, especially within the SDA church. The Waco disaster therefore, gave Satan much fuel to keep lighting his killing rumor through out the SDA church.

So here we are today, the deadly rumor still very much alive. However only those who study for themselves will be free of Satan’s snares which include rumors, twisting truths and falsehoods as his specialty!

“A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.” (Proverbs 19:9)

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.” (Exodus 23:1)

Stay strong you who love the Truth and God’s word. Satan is active but if we know his ploys in advance, how fortified  and prepared we are!

Following the Devil’s Tracks

Sherlock Holmes

Many are aware of the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. His ability to solve crimes and point to the guilty was thorough and successful. Today, we must take the role of old Sherlock as well, as we are facing a huge Spiritual battle. Satan is on the loose and in a terrible and concise manner. He has pulled his troops together and is making his final push to drag as many as possible down with him.

As we have posted many times, Satan has his hands full with his final game plan. This game plan is to befuddle, lam-blast, disguise, disrupt and just downright destroy God’s final message to His church, the Lord’s Elijah message. The SDA as a whole are fast asleep and unaware of this game plan, but the Davidian Seventh-day Adventists are not.

Who does Satan and his minions fear the most? The Davidian Seventh-day Adventists. For he knows they have the truth of the prophecies concerning the “great and dreadful day of the Lord.” The Lord’s final message that, once it is believed by that fateful 144,000th believer, ushers in Satan and his doomed legions final short few years.

Satan, as the Elijah prophet has uncovered through prophetic interpretation,  will soon be “wrath” with God’s people (Rev. 12:15-17), because of the “earth’s” mouth opening (Ezek. 9 church judgment). This can only happen because of the Davidian message being accepted by all those who will. Sadly, we know Inspiration says only 144,000 will  choose to do so. Hence the all out effort to stop this message from reaching the SDA people.

Let us now do as Sherlock would do, look at the evidence piling up pointing out his guilty schemes right now.

The message warns us–

“Moreover, the old Devil has already put all his forces to work, piping pleasing tunes to lure Truth seekers to climb aboard his golden bandwagon.   Its glittering tinsel of truth is already beguiling many with his wares while his captains and generals are to the top of their voices shouting their “Hallelujahs,” “Holy Ghost,” “gift of healing,” “gift of tongues,” “gift of miracles,” and all the rest, although the entire fanfare is devoid even of a spark of life. 

Every wind of doctrine will be blowing, false revivals and reformations will be at their peak.  Everything that can be done will be done to distort the Truth and thus distract and dishearten believers and draw their attention to something other than the message of Elijah.

   Thus will be the Devil’s deal while the day of God is approaching, and while Elijah is making the announcement of it as the scroll unrolls and while the prophecies concerning the day of God are being unsealed.  

His work and his interpretation of the prophecies for the great day will identify him as the promised Elijah the prophet (“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 475), and this will enrage the Devil as never before.  Nevertheless, one’s only safety will be in the teaching of Elijah, for there will be no other voice of timely Truth and authority to whom one may turn.  Any others will lead their victims blind-folded into perdition.” (General Conference Special, p.7-8)

“And since the Enemy cannot get around the Truth, he does all he can to blacken character and to pick flaws in personalities.” (Ibid, p.8)

So we see that Satan will be enraged as never before and that he cannot do anything successfully to stop the Truth, but he can and will “blacken character” of the messengers.

Recently the world heard about the terrible shooting of the  Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina. The young kid took the lives of many innocent people that evening. But was this haphazard or was it planned by the sinister one?

On July 2nd of this year, we as SDA will have our general conference session. The church leaders will be gathering, along with a multitude of members. As is the custom, church issues will be discussed and voted upon.  A great throng of SDA will gather in one place. The church direction hangs in the balance.

The adversary well knows this and he also knows that God’s faithful servants, the DSDA, are planning on being there to distribute the Elijah message in literature, Cd’s and Dvd’s. So, what better time than right before the world session,  to possess a young kid and get a large shoot up in a church?

How does this tie together? Let us look back at Satan’s prior history. We are very familiar with the disastrous and horrifying events in Waco Texas on February 28, 1993. The religious group known as Branch Davidians were soon known all around the world, but for the wrong reasons. Koresh and his unGodly men, with their perverted lifestyles, were seen as cult figures and anything but true Godly people.

So the net result is that Satan had accomplished his goal– taint the word– Davidian. Why? Because the Lord had inspired His last prophet to His remnant church, the SDA church, a man named Victor T. Houteff, to name the believers in the Elijah message–Davidian Seventh-day Adventists.

But in 1955 when brother Houteff died, the adversary started his plan to counter the message. A man named Ben Roden , who studied under Houteff, decided that he was to be the new inspired leader and his new break away group would be called Branch Davidians.  He added and subtracted many things to the original message. Koresh came along many years later and tried to interject his own teachings into the already usurping Branch movement.

The net result in this mess is that the largely uninformed SDA today, have no clue what the difference is between the Davidian SDA and the Branch Davidians. To them they are one and the same! Meaning all Satan’s dirty work with the fringe group (Branch) are now lumped with the Lord’s true group– the Davidian  SDA.

This being true, and with the recent shooting clearly in mind, there is word among some DSDA that the SDA leaders have warned the local police in San Antonio, about the “Davidians” . They have spread slander that they could do some similar acts and that they should be watched. In other words, they are trying to hamper God’s servants from getting the message out to the people based on slander and falsehood!

The prophet had some stern words for the “Sanhedrin” in our leadership–

“True, the church is God’s church, but those who are in charge of it are no better than the Sanhedrin in Christ’s days.  It is because God has supreme regard for His church that He has thus with His Truth invaded it now as He did invade the Jewish church in Christ’s time, and is thus to reclaim His people by cutting down those who are unlawfully enslaving them, teaching them doctrines of devils as already shown in the paragraphs above, and keeping them from coming in contact with Heaven’s Truth for this time of crises.  Do you see why the General Conference is now no more the voice of God to the people (General Conference Bulletin, 34th session, Vol. 4, Extra No. 1, April 3, 1901, p. 25, Cols. 1, 2) than was the Sanhedrins’ to the Jews in Christ’s time?” (Jezreel Letter, no. 7, p.7-8)

God’s prophetess warned us about the slander that would take place.

Satan has for centuries used falsehood and slander spreading. Justin Martyr,  the early Christian historian, pointed out how word had spread among the people that “Christians” practiced cannibalism (eating babies) and sexual immorality in their worship services (Dialogue with Trypho,  ch.10, First Apology, p.133).

Not only we can see these devil tracks forming, but I have seen lately the adversaries familiar attacks on a more personal level, upon a sister in our church. Sister M, has been studying the Lord’s Rod message for the last few weeks and we have had some real good studies. Her facial expressions, her expressing of joy in learning prophecies such as Daniel 2 and the subject of the 144,000, have been a joy to me.

But we know Satan and his workers are fighting anyone who boldly starts to embrace the Elijah message and sure enough they were watching our studies. Sister M, in an effort to share her exciting studies and new truth she had learned, called a sister in Los Angeles to share the news. The sister listened to sister M, and then interjected, “Oh no, be careful, that is Shepherd’s Rod teachings. They teach that someday the Davidians will rise up in the church and commit Ezekiel 9 on the people.”

Talk about cold water being splashed in one’s face! Sister M was dumbfounded. She was quite naturally confused. She called me the next day explaining her conversation with the sister. I listened patiently then calmly told her that this was an old false rumor that has absolutely no foundation anywhere in the Shepherd’s Rod teachings. She said she would like to give me the sister’s email and that I should discuss this with her. I gladly accepted.

Long story short , after trying twice to reach out to this sister and have her read back to me the references in the Rod, where the teaching of the Ezekiel 9 church judgment will be performed by Davidians, she never responded. Aloof and blissfully ignorant of her slander!

I am praying, and please do so as well, that our sister M, will see that one of us is not “loving the Truth” but rather their agenda of falsehood and slander.

Satan  started this slander at the very beginning of the message. We read that very early in brother Houteff’s ministry, in the Symbolic News code, he addressed the following.

“It will be seen by the following paragraphs that the enemy of truth is determined that light shall not reach the people (“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 411), also that he is doing everything to tear down Mt. Carmel Center and the work she is carrying on.

The Lord warned us that only those who “love” the Truth, will be saved–

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” (2 Thes. 2:10)

This slander spreading sister, and all others like her, will have on their life’s book, the solemn charge of breaking the 9th Commandment unless they repent. If I or anyone else spread a rumor that so and so, or a group of people will soon be murders, and don’t get to the bottom of this accusation to see if these things are based on written proof, we would stand defenseless before God as careless and guilty. Especially as we are accusing God’s servants of such blackness!

And why is Satan so worried about stopping God’s final message to His people? Because he knows prophesy shows us what will befall him and his minions once the church is purified, once God’s mighty warriors go to work. All his henchmen shall no longer “rule over” His people. A new day has begun!

“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young;

and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers. And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.(Jer. 51:20-24)

In closing, we can see the old serpent’s tracks as clear as day! The fact that slander has been practiced against a particular group of people within our church should tip-off the honest of heart, that the Davidian Seventh-day Adventist message is truth and it is the one that our adversary fears most. One of the worst impulses of the human heart is to engage in bearing false witness. It is so bad that our Lord has it as His number 9 Holy Commandment. “Thou shall not bear false witness.”

Let us no longer be beguiled by Satan today, but awake and uncover his cunning and sinister tracks!

“The enemy is preparing for his last campaign against the church. He has so concealed himself from view that many can hardly believe that he exists, much less can they be convinced of his amazing activity and power. They have to a great extent forgotten his past record; and when he makes another advance move, they will not recognize him as their enemy, that old serpent, but they will consider him a friend, one who is doing a good work. Boasting of their independence they will, under his specious, bewitching influence, obey the worst impulses of the human heart and yet believe that God is leading them. Could their eyes be opened to distinguish their captain, they would see that they are not serving God, but the enemy of all righteousness. They would see that their boasted independence is one of the heaviest fetters Satan can rivet on unbalanced minds.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.294)
