In Malachi 4:5 we read —
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD”
This predicted coming of Elijah the prophet is a controverted subject among Seventh-day Adventists and Davidian Seventh-day Adventists. The former generally does not believe in the literal fulfillment ( a real live male prophet to come) and the latter does. This is one of the BIG differences between the two!
And to make the case even more complicated, our founding prophetess, sister Ellen G. White wrote the following statement —
“Prophecy must be fulfilled. The Lord says: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.” Somebody is to come in the spirit and power of Elijah, and when he appears, men may say: “You are too earnest, you do not interpret the Scriptures in the proper way. Let me tell you how to teach your message.” (Testimonies to Ministers, p.475)
So we have the Lord’s Word and His prophetess confirming that a male prophet will be sent by the Lord just before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. It does not take a rocket scientist to see this, elementary such as 1 +1 = 2.
But not only has Satan influenced our SDA leaders to deny the Lord’s promise, and to even teach that it is not really a promise the Lord will keep, Satan has gone much further in his deceptive work, oh MUCH more!
Ok, so what kind of deception of a most serious matter is being employed upon us present truth believers today? A man among us today is really the true Elijah to come as spoken of in Mal. 4:5!
Yes, Satan has got ahold of a most deceiving person, one well familiar with the Lord’s final message of Elijah, to twist and pervert its true message. The Bible’s prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes!
“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Tim. 4:3-4)
As we have posted before, we know one can only discern the false from the true, AFTER one has thoroughly studied and examined the true. But unfortunately instead of asking the Spirit of Truth to help us KNOW the Truth, we, again, find Bible prophecy fulfilled with sad results.
“This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.(Jeremiah 17:5)
The Spirit of Truth, we are told will not fool us, He will guide us IF we let Him. The promise is sure —
“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.” (John 16:13)
Ok, so if we have let the Spirit of truth have His way with us, reviewed all the writings of the Lord’s Rod message (AKA Elijah message) found in the Shepherd’s Rod by brother Victor T. Houteff, we know that the message is too clear that indeed the promised Elijah has came and wrote all about the final message to us as Adventists.
But not so fast Satan, knows that, just as one can die from just ONE DROP of poison put into a big glass of water, he can put forth just enough false teachings to blend into the message – to snare and ultimately kill.
That is exactly what we find in real time TODAY. His name is Lennox Sam, His ministry is called different and changing names such as Wave Sheaf Ministries, Davidian Seventh-day Adventists Church, The Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Association, etc.
To those who are active in the Lord’s vineyard today, we are frankly alarmed at the terrible deception being perpetrated upon present truth believers by said man and his group. They have infiltrated the vineyard for a while now (since about 2006) but have become more visible through social media today –Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Websites, etc.
Perhaps the most visible and obvious falsehood put forth today is that Lennox Sam is the “Elijah” today. In other words, the man God used to write out the full message of the Rod, the message the Lord cried out for us to hear (Micah 6:9), brother Houteff, was not really Elijah to come, rather just a previous prophet to prepare the way for Sam! Wow!
“Satan, represented by human beings, is ever busy distracting Present Truth believers, destroying their influence among the people, and thus making the truth of none effect. His great and lasting victories have not been won by opposing the truth, but rather by professing strictly to advocate every precept of it, and by showing great reverence and zeal for its advancement, thus gaining the confidence of the people, and making them believe him to be a zealous minister of God and a friend of His people.
Then, having beguiled them into placing confidence in him, and into being perfectly satisfied that he is leading them on to eternal glory, he easily and quietly leads his victims on to eternal ruin.”(3 Sym. Code, no.3-4, p.13)
You see brethren, the Lord in His all-seeing vision, saw that certain men (and women) would rise up in the last days and claim that their message was from the Rod, yet it is not, let us read —
“..as teachers of The Shepherd’s Rod (the official publications of the Davidian Seventh-day Association), teach only in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. Thus only will all Present-truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things (1 Cor. 1:10; 1 Pet. 3:8; Isa. 52:8).
And such as do choose to engage in private interpretation are respectfully asked to desist from teaching in the name of the Rod and at its expense. Let them like honest men, teach in their own names and at their own expense.”(Answerer, vol. 5, p.55-56)
Ok, now that we have laid the groundwork, let us produce the evidence, so that one may see for themselves. The following are two YouTube links with Sam’s own words showing (although deceptively) that “he” is the Elijah to come. NOTE: Sam is not so foolish to say the words “I am the Elijah” but those with ears and know what he teaches can discern he is saying. Sadly, many of his followers are as the following picture shows —

In closing my brothers and sisters, the Lord once again warned us the “other voices” would appear to lead us down a false path, let us be very careful to let the Spirit of Truth guide us NOT some Satan agent sent in these last hours to hoodwink and sidetrack us from His kingdom.
“.. one’s only safety will be in the teaching of Elijah, for there will be no other voice of timely Truth and authority to whom one may turn. Any others will lead their victims blind-folded into perdition.” (GCS, p.8)
