Watch the Praise

August 22, 2020

humble pastor

Let’s face it, we humans since our very early childhood years, have loved being told how good we are. Praise and adoration is often a thing that is looked at as a good thing, especially in the heathen world. But once we become converted, we have a new set of rules, set of behaviors, that we should and indeed must, follow.

This issue is, however, of supreme importance to preachers, pastors, and present truth message proclaimers.

In Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, p.474-475 we read —

“Unwise Sabbathkeepers have pleased the devil well by praising their ministers. Were they aware that they were aiding Satan in his work? They would have been alarmed had they realized what they were doing. They were blinded, they were not standing in the counsel of God. I lift my voice of warning against praising or flattering the ministers.

I have seen the evil, the dreadful evil, of this. Never, never speak a word in praise of ministers to their faces. Exalt God. Ever respect a faithful minister, realize his burdens and lighten them if you can; but do not flatter him, for Satan stands ready at his watchtower to do that kind of work himself.” (Testimonies, vol. 1, p.474-475)

For a little personal history let me share something concerning our topic. Back when I first came into the SDA church in early 2009, I soon felt the urge from the Holy Spirit to begin to speak and write. In other words, since childhood I have sensed a calling and the time had come. The wayward son (me), as in the parable, after high living and pleasure, had decided to come home! Praise the Lord for His patience!

No more heathen world and all its lusts and distractions, it was finally time to –get down to business! God’s business! Soon I started this blog site and began to write about some of God’s Word and some of my personal experiences. All this, I hoped, would help encourage brethren around the world to follow the Lord and keep on the straight and narrow path.

But I did not fully know the road well at the start of my journey. Of course, this was all to be expected, after all, one does not get a master’s degree in the first month of their schooling! Our walk unrolls just as the Lord’s Word (Scroll) unrolls. The Spirit of Truth guides us as promised (John 16:13).

The Word says-

“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Then that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.” (Isaiah 28:9)

So before I became enlighten with the last message from the Lord, I began writing posts for the blog back in November of 2009. After each post I would sign off Bro. Rob. In other words, I wanted to show that “I” had written the report with “my” understandings. I was attempting to bring some focus on myself, even though it was not purposely or intentionally done to exalt myself.

Then in May of 2011, the Lord guided me into the final message of Eliajh and things began to change, new light began to fill my mind and soul. In a short while, I was led to go back and take out all the sign-offs with my name and correct the posts. In other words, it is not brother Rob that needs to be highlighted, it’s the Lord and His truth! His Truth and Word is the focus.

So now let us look at a glaring example of the big sin which our prophetess wrote about in the above reference. As many of you know we have written some posts on Amazing Facts and their leader –Doug Batchelor. Before I came into the Elijah message I was very much into brother Doug’s teachings, particularly his Sabbath reports and sermons.

Recently I was viewing His “Doug Batchelor” YouTube channel and something hit me strikingly. I noticed many praise comments, not to the Lord but directed to Doug. Such examples are —

“I love Doug’s preaching,..” (Doge)

“Great job Doug you’re always do a good job the Lord must have total faith in your teaching because I could feel the power when you’re teaching from the Lord..” (Denny)

“Great sermon, Doug in a chair talking truth, no additives, all organic word…..thanks.”(Michael)

“God Bless Pastor Doug. His messages are changing my entire life.” (Sirley)

And those are just a few of the many many comments made in uplifting the messenger and not God! Of course these people are not fully aware of their sin, but by the Lord’s spirit, I made sure some of them would be!

I was led to make a comment on one of his recent videos. I quoted the SOP reference above, then I said the following —

“It’s one thing to praise God for the message of Truth, and another to praise the minister “your work” “you did a great job” “Doug is the best” etc. etc.

Apparently Doug saw it and to his credit wrote the following response –

“Doug Batchelor –Thank you for this crucial reminder!  All the praise must go to God and his work in every area of our lives. Never rasising the instrument above the master.–The Amazing facts team.”

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” … For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ‘”

All that exalt someone who has the testimony of Jesus are told — Don’t do that. Further, anyone who is proclaiming a message from the Lord MUST not encourage nor condone such exaltation. This is exactly why the Lord’s prophetess warned us!

Is there a way to uplift a brother or sister about his work? Of course! A comment such as “Praise the Lord”, “These are words of Truth”, “Truth in all it’s glory”, etc, lets the messenger know that he has delivered Truth worthy of praise. But it is Truth (Jesus) that is glorified.

In closing, we know that the leaders and those who are heavily involved in the proclamation of the work are under BIG stress from the dark powers, as they have targets on their back for their faithful spreading of His final message of Elijah. So to encourage and uplift such a one is great, but we must guard our words and not let them be construed to exalt or replace the ONE who is deserving of such praise and exaltation. The time will come when ALL will get their just reward!

“He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.”(Deut. 10:21)

“Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things.” (Part 2 of 2)

Looking for Elijah - The Association of the Covenant People

We continue with God’s Elijah restoration, part 2  —

4) Pure Food and Drink

In Amos 9:14 we read —

“And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.”

“Before them a fire devours, and behind them a flame scorches. The land before them is like the Garden of Eden, but behind them, it is like a desert wasteland—surely nothing will escape them.”(Joel 2:3)

“Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.” (Joel 2:21-22)

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” (Joel 2:25-26)

Just as the garden of Eden was, with beauty and trees sprouting all over, the same restoration shall appear in the Holy Land in the last days. We can only imagine pure sparkling water such as never seen since the beginning! Fruits and vegetables shining and enticing our eyes to partake!

“‘And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.’ Everything that God had made was the perfection of beauty, and nothing seemed wanting that could contribute to the happiness of the holy pair; yet the Creator gave them still another token of his love, by preparing a garden especially for their home.

In this garden were trees of every variety, many of them laden with fragrant and delicious fruit. There were lovely vines, growing upright, yet presenting a most graceful appearance, with their branches drooping under their load of tempting fruit, of the richest and most varied hues. It was the work of Adam and Eve to train the branches of the vine to form bowers, thus making for themselves a dwelling from living trees covered with foliage and fruit.

There were fragrant flowers of every hud in rich profusion. In the midst of the garden stood the tree of life, surpassing in glory all other trees. Its fruit appeared like apples of gold and “The creation was now complete. ‘The heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.’ ‘And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.’ Eden bloomed on earth. Adam and Eve had free access to the tree of life. No taint of sin, or shadow of death, marred the fair creation. ‘The morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.’” (PP, p.45-46)

Let us remember that prior to this restoration, the last gigantic war as spoken of in Zech, 14:1-9 will have just taken place, and then shortly after that the Lord is to cause the land to become miraculously beautiful again as very clearly stated in the Word of the Lord —

“Thus says the Lord GOD: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.” (Ezek. 36:33-36)

5) The Kingdom organization

“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of the LORD’S  house  shall be established on top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say ‘Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.’ “For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”(Micah 4:1-2)

As we have posted so many times this promise is directly applicable to us today “last days”. Yes WHILE THE HEATHEN ARE ROUNDABOUT! Unfortunately, our leaders in the SDA church are ignorant of this Word. But aptly able to explain it away should a truth seeker enquire of them its meaning!

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”(Dan. 2:44)

Now, some may ask how is this going to be possible with the current Jews and Arabs occupying the holy land? While we can’t go deeply into this in this post, we can simply say that the world is now being set up to have the gigantic world war III over Israel. This is obviously being prepared even as we speak. The tension has been building the last couple of years and will continue to do so, until God says it’s time for it to take place.

An applicable Scripture reads, “Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree takes effect– The day passes like the chaff– Before the burning anger of the LORD comes upon you, Before the day of the LORD’S anger comes upon you” (Zeph2:1-2) .

Where is this “nation not desired”? Verse 4 tells us,Gaza will be deserted, and Ashkelon will be destroyed. Ashdod will be driven out at noon, and Ekron will be torn out by the roots.”

It is in the land of Israel. The Lord’s anger will cause the occupants to be driven out so that His promises will be fulfilled to the letter!

Again, as we have explained before, this Word of God shows that during, not after, and while “in” the time of these kings, those of the time of the end, God sets up His final kingdom. it’s beginning stage, then to transfer to the Heavenly courts for a thousand years.

“For thus says the LORD: “Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations; Proclaim, give praise, and say, ‘O LORD, save Your people, the remnant of Israel!’  Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and the one who labors with child, together; A great throng shall return there.”(Jer. 7:7-8)

What we love about this reference is that it shows that the “blind and lame” are returning to His kingdom, His Holy Land. No blind and lame will exist in heaven or the new earth! The timing of this kingdom is set to appear and begin IN OUR WORLD TODAY.

For our last reference establishing the Word of His kingdom we look at a most beautiful promise —

“Thus says the LORD : ‘I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the LORD of hosts, the Holy Mountain.’ Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘Ol men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each one with his staff in his hand because of old age. The streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets.

Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘ If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, will it also be marvelous in My eyes?’ says the LORD of hosts. Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘ Behold , I will save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west; I will bring them back, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. They shall be My people and I will be their God, in truth and righteousness.”(Zech. 8:3-8)

In closing brethren, the full restoration is about to occur. Of course we just touched on a few of the aspects of the restoration to take place. We should know that we live in the final hours of time and that by God’s grace we must be accounted worthy to be a part of this restored kingdom!

“Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.

Yes, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zech. 8:20-23)

“Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things.” (Part 1 of 2)

August 8, 2020

Looking for Elijah - The Association of the Covenant People

What did it mean when our King said “Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things.” (Matt. 17:11) ?

The word restore, according to our English language dictionary means —

“to bring back into existence, use, or the like; reestablish:to restore order. to bring back to a former, original, or normal condition, as a building, statue, or painting.” (Dictionary.com)

So once we know the meaning of restore we can see that the final prophet to God’s people “Elijah” will be instrumental in doing restoration or reestablishment of God’s way on earth. “All things” will revert back to how God intended them to be. Let’s look at some of those restored things as said in His word.

1) Marriage

As we are aware, marriage is indeed the first “covenant” God made with mankind –the marriage covenant. No doubt this covenant is VERY important. We read in Mal 2:16 —

“For the LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce, For it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the LORD of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously.”

Therefore the Elijah message deals with this topic, and it sets up the soon to be restoration of the perfect fulfillment, let us read —

“Like every other one of God’s good gifts intrusted to the keeping of humanity, marriage has been perverted by sin, but it is the purpose of the gospel to restore its purity and beauty.—“Mount of Blessings,” p. 100.

Inspiration further says: “And He answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things.” (Mk. 9:12.) “In the time of the end, every divine institution is to be restored.”—“Prophets and Kings,” p. 678.

The foregoing passages make clear at least three main facts; namely:

1. That the first institution which God ordained and established on earth was that of marriage; and that the second was that of the Sabbath.

2. That God intended that both of these institutions should endure intact, but that Satan has perverted and corrupted them, until today they retain but little of their pristine purity.

3. That consequently, in the time of the end, God will send Elijah the prophet to restore not only both of these, but also all other desecrated, divine institutions.

Hence, as all things must be restored, and as Elijah must effect their restoration, it follows that, as the joint institutions of marriage and the Sabbath were the first to be instituted, and the first to be profaned and debased, they must, therefore, be the first to be restored.

Moreover, as there is no truth where there is no type, the working out of divine design, in ordaining and establishing, on Friday, the sixth day of creation, the marriage institution, and on the seventh day, the Sabbath, thus gave type both to the reestablishing of these institutions, and to the restoring of them to the sanctity and beauty of their first estate. And as we must observe the Sabbath on the seventh day, likewise we ought to solemnize marriage on Friday, the sixth day of the week.

Furthermore, as God foresaw that in the closing hours of probation, the order of events would be singularly anomalous and preternatural, He mercifully thus forewarned us in the following familiar statements:

“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning.”—“Testimonies to Ministers,” p. 300. Therefore, with the one who is to come in the spirit, and power of Elijah, men will find fault and say, “‘You are too earnest, you do not interpret the Scriptures in the proper way. Let me tell you how to teach your message.’”—Id., pp. 475, 476.

Nevertheless, as representatives of the Elijah message, we are called to lead out by precept and example in the restoration of all things, especially the marriage and the Sabbath institutions, for the one represents the home, and the other the memorial of its creation. Therefore, before “we go forth to proclaim the Sabbath more fully,” we must lift up marriage, the first institution, from the sordid depths to which Satan has plunged it.” (SC, vol. 3, no.2, p.8)

Marriage indeed restored! Right now it appears we are lackadaisical in marriage in timing the day of this holy bond. Friday is the day for the marriage covenant.  And as the kingdom restored will soon take place in the Holy Land, it is to be expected that God will bless and sanction many marriages there.

2) Sabbath

We don’t need to get into too much explanation on this. As present truth believers, we well know that this issue will be the final test for mankind. Just as it was the very first trouble/dispute in worship (Cain slaying Abel over proper worship) so too the end-time issue of worship shall determine one is with God or one is not. Sunday worship will be the “mark of the beast” confirmation. For more information on the Sabbath test see our video —

3) Animal instincts

Elijah pointed us to Isaiah 11:6-9 as part of the restoration in God’s pre-millennial kingdom in Israel, and we read —

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”

What a breathtaking sight! A large lion sitting next to a baby sheep. A poisonous snake being handled by a baby. All this will be viewed, in the very soon to come kingdom. TV, reports, films, videos, you name it, all will broadcast this future amazing sight. God’s word says it, we believe it. The only question is –when does this beautiful sight take place?

Well if you are a typical SDA, and swallowed what the pastor or teacher teaches, you’d say it’s the time of the “new earth”. Wrong.

Here is a video showing why it cannot be at that time but much before it —

Next week we’ll conclude with more examples of the restoration that mankind needs and what the Lord will deliver as promised.

Is the World ready for the 666 man?

August 1, 2020

As the world reels from a staggering shaking, the last gasp power struggle by the New World order globalists, a momentous time is now being witnessed. There is a man named Tom Zimmer, who had lived in Italy and predicted back in 1983 that “Donald Trump will lead America back to God”. The following first video gives interesting details of this “holy man” as some call him, and how he accurately predicted that President Trump would fulfill an important role in the world someday.

Well, that day has come and he has been proven right to a certain degree, though it remains to see the full fulfillment. As to the idea that people will get back to God by DT, well that is another whole different story. In the 2nd video, it provides more clarity about what some think will fully play out with President Trump. Watch these two videos and see how they complement each other. As we said in our last post –strap in your seatbelts we are about to go into Bible prophecy fulfillments.

Is the Mark of the Beast a Vaccine?

July 25, 2020

Are Tracking Implants the Mark of the Beast? Does Bill Gates want ...

As we continue to experience a rare phenomena, a worldwide event affecting the majority of people on earth, naturally the theories are running rampant as to the Mark of the Beast. Before we discuss this Mark, let us look at the forces behind this Covid19 situation (aka Covert19 operation).

As we posted before the Bible speaks of an end-time King, known as “the King of the North” (Daniel chapter 11). He shall have rulership of, among other things, the holy land and “the treasures of Gold and silver”. This means he controls God’s land and the world’s money system. There is only one group of people this can apply to today –the Vast Rothschild empire based out of Great Britain ( other families are in France and Austria). A consortium of a few select massively wealthy families the world over led by the Rothschilds.

“But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.” (Daniel 11:43)

Make no mistake this current worldwide lockdown is no happenstance brought on by some unplanned disease that just happened to arrive the world over, beginning in China. Correctly it is often called plandemic and not a pandemic by those who carefully investigate this situation.

The sign of submission is everywhere!

Signs of the Last Days: Mark of the Beast | Jeremiah Project

The vast throng of sheep mentality ( for example wearing the mask in clean open-air far from anyone else) certainly is emboldening the KON (King of the North) to go forward in his long time planned world domination — New World Order. After all the people are proving themselves to be wilful subservient puppets, willing to obey orders even if they make no sense.

But the following is being greatly talked about today , on radio, websites, Facebook, ministries the world over, etc.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”(Rev. 13:16-18)

This “mark” is of great speculation due to the current lockdown situation and our freedoms being limited or in some cases nearly curtailed! We just heard from a sister in Australia where a large high rise residential building is under total quarantine. You are fined a large amount if you leave without “permission”.

But let us make no mistake the Lord, the ALL KNOWING LORD, has given us the knowledge to know end time events–isn’t that just magnificent?!!  Those who carefully and under the ministration of the Spirit of Truth search the Sciptures shall know what to expect.

Sadly the vast heathen world is clueless. Their eyes see the world situation and fear and even great confusion grips many. This is expected for the heathen but God’s remnant people, well that is just a great disappointment.

The SDA church is , right now, in a state of “Huh? “What?” “Don’t quite get it”, etc. The leaders simply have few answers. Not so with the advanced SDA known as the DSDA (Davidian Seventh-day Adventists).

Ok, let’s get back to the mark. Right now ,as the picture shows, many are discussing the mark as being the infamous “Bill Gates” promoted vaccine(s) that will include a chip inside that will allow the government to track you for the rest of your life. In other words it will evolve into some sort of controlling device enabling the Government to track and control you  (ie. buying and selling) in the near future. Just as spoken of in Rev. 13:16-18.

This sounds possible even logical but to those who know Scripture it is fanciful. How do we know that? Well first as SDA, we are well-grounded in the SOP teaching that the mark is the observance of Sunday as the Sabbath WHEN the law is made. But unlike the SDA, who are generally clueless as to more specific information about end times, the DSDA known the events right before this marking system comes into place.

For a long time the world’s leading elite led by the “top dog” the Rothschilds, have controlled the wealth in our world, ie. the banking system. They have strategically planned a New World Order. Like an Octopus their tentacles have encompassed most of what is important in terms of the world –money, media, politics, education, government , etc.  The great round table of strategists plotting their schemes.

The 'New World Order': The Globalist Agenda - How they Control ...

But God’s people are not to be forsaken. We read–

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you. Behold, I have graven you upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:15-16)

Despite their fiendish plans, the tables are just about to turn. The King of the North’s destiny is already decided!

“And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.” (Daniel 11:45)

The great crash of these mongrels shall come thundering down! Praise the Lord! And with it all their plans and schemes, which include all their New World Order ideas (vaccines, death camps, armed city control, etc.).

This New World order plan is nothing new. Their elaborate octopus network includes decades of work through the Tri-lateral commission, the Bilderberg group, United Nations, just to name a few well-known groups. And most importantly , Great Britian’s leader, the Rothschilds have their precious baby–Israel,  and that is what makes them King of the North (1 TG, no. 4, p.22).

So after years of planning, their scheme has now evolved into a worldwide shut down and heading for the controlling nature of the system–their nano chip vaccine. So they think!

So with our current events heading the way they are, it is easy to see the Sunday leaders talking of the vaccine being the mark of the beast.

But Satan is to prove unfaithful to his own current world wide Globalist servants! Even though he has worked through these literal Globalists/Satanists (many of them indeed worship him) for decades, he will throw them to the heap yard once the KON “comes to his end” and will begin anew with his great last plan–the mark of the beast Sunday Law system.

The 666 man and the false prophet (Rev. 13) shall head this last gasp power struggle against God’s people. But God’s “army”, the 144,000, are more than up to the challenge, they shall begin their marching orders as we read in Joel 2 —

“Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand— a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness.Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come. Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes.bBefore them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them.

They have the appearance of horses; they gallop along like cavalry. With a noise like that of chariots they leap over the mountaintops, like a crackling fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle. At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale.

They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. They all march in line, not swerving from their course. They do not jostle each other; each marches straight ahead. They plunge through defenses without breaking ranks. They rush upon the city; they run along the wall.

They climb into the houses; like thieves they enter through the windows. Before them the earth shakes, the heavens tremble the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine. The Lord thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys his command. The day of the Lord is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?” (Joel 2:1-11)

The Elijah message expounds upon the above Scripture,

“Thou art My battle ax and weapons of war,” says the Lord to Israel of today (those who are to compose the infant kingdom), “for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;…with thee also will I break in pieces man and woman…This scripture cannot be applied to the Israel of Jeremiah’s day, for she was then losing out rather than conquering, and from that day to this, she has had no kingdom of her own.  It is obviously therefore the Israel of these last days the kingdom, through whose instrumentality God will bring this world to an end.” (Tract 9, p.43-44)

There is to be war after the war but this one shall not be with bombs but spiritual, angelic, and God’s direct power against evil. Indeed the Lord has come out of His place!

“Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!” (Zech 2:13)

Amen!

In summary, the current Globalist plans will come crashing down (via the large gigantic world war in the Middle East Zech. 14:1-11) and their idea of a controlled New World Order shall never be, as shown according to Scripture. And the “Mark of the Beast” will then soon take the form of the Sunday law as promoted by the 666 man/nation, the false prophet, and their false religion.

Strap on your seat belts, we are heading into the “great and dreadful day of the Lord”!

A Short Report on The Apocrypha

July 18, 2020

Is the Apocrypha Inspired Scripture? - The Reason Files

The following report is from Mt. Dale concerning the Apocrypha. May you be blessed.

For those who insist that the understanding of the Apocrypha is of vital importance to us now— before the kingdom, we should consider the following facts:

1. God is in control of the Scriptures, and if the Apocrypha was vital for our Salvation NOW, before the kingdom, would He not have included it in the Inspired Canons? Would not have Sis. White and/or Bro. Houteff emphasized the importance of it in their writings?

Of course, James White quoted from it in “A Word to the Little Flock.” Yes Sis. White pointed out “that the wise in these last days should understand it.” But why did neither her or Bro. Houteff explain or expound on it, if it was so important for us TODAY—before the kingdom?

THE FACT IS THAT THEY DID NOT EXPOUND ON IT, IS PROOF THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE LIGHT ON THE APOCRYPHA, and that God did not see it as crucial for our Salvation at the present time—before the kingdom.

“We may not, in this life, be able to explain the meaning of every passage of Scripture; but there are no vital points of practical truth that will be clouded in mystery. . . Every fact which immediately concerns the salvation of souls will be made so clear that none need err or walk in darkness.” 2T 692.

2. It is known fact by scholars and average Bible students alike, that the Apocrypha was rejected as inspired for the following reasons:

They abound in historical and geographical inaccuracies.

They teach doctrines that are at variance with the accepted inspired text. Their styling and literary type is out of keeping with that of the standard inspired text.

3. Inspiration, states that “Upon the death of Sister White, in 1915, the gift of Inspiration, the active Spirit of prophecy, became quiescent, no longer manifesting itself for a time. With the church thus cut off from the very source of its life, as was the Jewish church from the death of the prophet Malachi to the rise of John the Baptist, how could it maintain its vitality and growth?” 3 Ans 60.

The Apocrypha was written AFTER the Old Testament canon was closed-after Malachi. Therefore, the Apocrypha was written during the period Inspiration says the “gift of Inspiration, the active Spirit of Prophecy, became quiescent, no longer manifesting itself for a time” —the time God DID NOT endow anyone with the gift of Inspiration.
How then can it be reliable? How could it be inspired?

4. Since it has ERRORS, but Sis. White does say that it is the hidden book, and that the wise should understand it, then obviously it has value, but parts of it is erroneous. THEN HOW ARE WE TO AUTHORITATIVELY KNOW WHICH PART IS GOOD AND WHICH IS ERRONEOUS?

Some parts are obviously erroneous—this is already well established. But what we may think is good, is bad! So we must have Inspiration to help us to authoritatively determine the sections that are good. So we will have to wait until the Kingdom when the “gift of Inspiration” will be again manifested. It cannot be now! To do otherwise–to insist that it
is a salvation issue is to run where we have not been sent, and destroy souls, perhaps even our own.

Some Keys to Prayer

July 11, 2020

Scripture for Today, 4-17-19: Don't Pray? - JESUS, OUR BLESSED HOPE

In this post we’ll go over some unique counsels on prayer. The final message of Elijah tells us how important the subject of prayer really is —

The Key to the Science of Holiness?

“Why should the sons and daughters of God be reluctant to pray, when prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock Heaven’s storehouse…?”—Steps to Christ, p. 95. It is the breath, the life, of the soul, “the secret of spiritual power.”—Gospel Workers, p. 254; Education, p. 258. Hence “in the prayer of faith there is a divine science.…a science that every one who would make his lifework a success must understand.”—Education, p. 257.

“Those who bring their petitions to God, claiming His promise while they do not comply with the condition, insult Jehovah.”—Christs Object Lessons, p. 142.

How important, then, that prayer meet the conditions laid down—be correct, scientific, inspired! This weighty truth will compel the whole-souled believer critically to re-examine his entire prayer life to make certain that it is not unscientific and uninspired and thus ineffectual—a fraud and a cheat to him, and an insult to God! (SC, vol. 8, no.1-12, p.12)

Let us now look at three specific issues of prayer.

1 — Does the Bible speak of a time where God says to NOT pray for someone?

Yes indeed, let us read —

“And the Lord said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal. Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.” (Jeremiah 11:9-14)

Straight, God-breathed words! Yes, we are reading right, there was to be no prayers lifted up for such rebels. How is it that one can get so spiritually offensive that even our King says not to insult Him with prayers on their behalf??

One of our basic core Christian values, indeed one of our most treasured privileges, is prayer. All throughout the Word we read about praying and the value of this. But contrarily we find that under certain dire and repulsive conditions we are are told to refrain from it, for our God knows perfection and even in prayer–what is right and what is wrong!

So how do we know when someone is not to be prayed for? A great question indeed! The Lord’s Elijah message gave us a clue, let us read —

“For only a true Christian, one who has a personal experience with God, a perfect knowledge of His Word, and who is filled with His Spirit, can discriminate saint from sinner. He, only, can recognize who has the seal and who does not have it, when the latter is cloaked in a counterfeit robe of righteousness.” (Tract 5, p. 63)

Thus we see that once we have ” a perfect knowledge of His Word” we then have spiritual discernment. We can know the pretenders from the real deals.

Obviously Jeremiah was the real deal and as such God warned him not to insult Him by praying for those repeat offenders and stanch rebels. Isaiah also enlightens us —

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.” ( Isaiah 59:1-2)

2 —  What is the proper position to be in when praying?

“Both in public and in private worship, it is our privilege to bow on our knees before the Lord when we offer our petitions to Him. Jesus, our example, “kneeled down, and prayed.”[3 LUKE 22:41.] Of His disciples it is recorded that they, too, “kneeled down, and prayed.”[4 ACTS 9:40; 20:36, 21:5.] Paul declared, “I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”[5 EPH. 3:14.] In confessing before God the sins of Israel, Ezra knelt.[6 SEE EZRA 9:5.] Daniel “kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God.”[7 DAN. 6:10.]

True reverence for God is inspired by a sense of His infinite greatness and a realisation of His presence. With this sense of the Unseen, every heart should be deeply impressed. The hour and place of prayer are sacred, because God is there; and as reverence is manifested in attitude and demeanour, the feeling that inspires it will be deepened. “Holy and reverend is His name,”[8 PS. 111:9.] the psalmist declares. Angels, when they speak that name, veil their faces. With what reverence, then, should we, who are fallen and sinful, take it upon our lips!” (Gospel Workers, p.178)

Of course, as we posted before, prayer and supping are both meaningful ways to communicate with our King. As such, supping would naturally be more relaxed and experienced in ways such as driving, walking, resting in bed, etc. Prayer on the other hand is more formal, especially in public and this, when at all possible, should be in the form of kneeling.

Unfortunately we as Adventists have long since not kept this counsel active in our church. Sure we rigidly kneel as a robot during a brief part or two of the service. But there is often other times in the service where we carelessly stand.

Our prophetess, was moved to rebuke a pastor for not kneeling —

“I have received letters questioning me in regard to the proper attitude to be taken by a person offering prayer to the Sovereign of the universe. Where have our brethren obtained the idea that they should stand upon their feet when praying to God? One who has been educated for about five years in Battle Creek was asked to lead in prayer before Sister White should speak to the people. But as I beheld him standing upright upon his feet while his lips were about to open in prayer to God, my soul was stirred within me to give him an open rebuke. Calling him by name, I said, “Get down upon your knees.” This is the proper position always….” (Prayer, p.207)

3 — How do we address our God in prayer?

Unfortunately, our adversary has tried to trick some believers in this way. The name of God being so important, they say, that if you incorrectly call Him a name He is not to be called, well you are doomed. But not to fear the Lord, again sets us straight on this issue. A true restoring, if you will. The counsel is found in Tract 13 called “God’s Titles Not Restricted To One Language.”

In closing, let us remember that prayer is our lifeline, our cell line to use modern terms direct to the Throne of Heaven. Both prayer and supping are so valuable that we should, as Inspiration says – make it a “science”. A Sweet Science indeed!

Color Code: Orange –The Lord speaking,  Blue — Bible or SOP, Brown– Elijah message brought by Victor Houteff

Middle of the Road

July 4, 2020

File:Middle of the Road.jpg - Wikimedia Commons

The final message of Elijah says —

“The Devil, of course, works both ways — he himself cares not which, but he is careful to accommodate the sinner so as to win him to his side. If one extreme will not do, the Enemy lets him have the other — anything to keep him from the middle of the road, anything to keep him from following the Lord.” (1 TG, no. 6, p.37)

Here we see that fanaticism is to be avoided, for it can lead to being a worker for the enemy. Extreme positions, going overboard on an issue truly shows we can get narrow-minded and lose our real objective–bringing souls to Christ.

Recently on our Facebook ministry, Truth Tellers, we came across such an example of extremes. A brother, we’ll call brother P, has posted continually for the past couple weeks his views on drugs. With the current worldwide focus on Covid19, we believe his objective is good, but he has displayed something worrisome. Allow us to explain.

We are familiar with this brother and in the past we counseled him about his fanatism in regards to posting continually about how we must leave the cities now. While it is true that the message says we are to try and live in the country and out of big cities, there is sound consensus that this is NOT a salvational issue. But according to the brother this was a must.

Our counsel was met with disagreement and he went on doing his posting day after day. But both the SOP and the Lord’s Rod message is clear about fanatism —

“We have found in our experience that if Satan cannot keep souls bound in the ice of indifference, he will try to push them into the fire of fanaticism. When the Spirit of the Lord comes among His people, the enemy seizes his opportunity to work also upon different minds and lead them to mingle their own peculiar traits of character with the work of God. Thus there is always danger that they may allow their own spirit to mingle with the work and that unwise moves may be made. Many carry on a work of their own devising that is not prompted by God.” (Testimonies, vol. 5, p.644)

“Stupidity, fanaticism, and indifference must be abandoned and Divine thinking put in action..”(1 TG, no. 40, p.16)

So fast forward a year or so, now recently this same character of fanatism is being exhibited–this time about the use of drugs, and how they are the greatest evil in the world.

Before we get into the meat of the issue, it would be helpful to go back in time and look at the Pharisees and their behavior. As we know Jesus dealt severely with them due to the fact, among other things they were fanatical. For example their rigid Sabbath requirements.

“At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn; and His disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, Thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.”(Luke 12:1-2)

Jesus then pointed out that the disciples were blameless and the Pharisees’ unduly strict requirements were not to be cast as stone. In other words there are circumstances were God does not demand fanatical behavior but common sense (in this case true hunger). The same principle will apply to the use of drugs. There IS a place for them as you’ll see and we can’t throw them out with a wave of the hand.

Brother P , of course, is not without inspiration in his beliefs. He uses quotes such as the following from SOP.

“People need to be taught that drugs do not cure disease. It is true that they sometimes afford present relief, and the patient appears to recover as the result of their use; this is because nature has sufficient vital force to expel the poison and to correct the conditions that caused the disease. Health is recovered in spite of the drug. But in most cases the drug only changes the form and location of the disease. Often the effect of the poison seems to be overcome for a time, but the results remain in the system and work great harm at some later period.

By the use of poisonous drugs, many bring upon themselves lifelong illness, and many lives are lost that might be [127] saved by the use of natural methods of healing. The poisons contained in many so-called remedies create habits and appetites that mean ruin to both soul and body. Many of the popular nostrums called patent medicines, and even some of the drugs dispensed by physicians, act a part in laying the foundation of the liquor habit, the opium habit, the morphine habit, that are so terrible a curse to society.” (The Ministry of Healing, p.126-127)

Wow, I would say that is pretty powerful counsel against the use of man-made drugs! This is but one of the many SOP references the brother has used during his recent anti-drug posting campaign. To be frank, the overall general principle that drugs most often hurt rather than heal would be sound theology and is indeed a fact.

But, just as the Jews did with Christ they resorted back to Moses for all their doctrine, failing to keep abreast with the advancing light that our King brought them –fresh new Truth! This is repeated in anti-type with us as SDA, holding onto SOP at the expense of the advancing scroll. On this issue of drugs, there is fresh new “meat in due season” that God provided us from His final prophet to our church–the “Elijah”(Mal. 4:5-6)

Let us read our present truth for today —

“A TIME FOR DRUGS RATHER THAN FOR FOOD

There are diseases which attack even the healthiest and best-cared for plants. For example, when a tree that is planted in the best of soils and is well cared for, becomes infested with insects or disease, then no matter what one does with the soil, he cannot thereby cause the pestilence to disappear: and if the tree is not sprayed with drugs that will exterminate the disease, the tree dies. In like manner, if one’s morals, diet, and hygiene, have been faultless and still are when he takes sick, and if his ailment is not hereditary, then no matter what more he does with his diet, he will realize no healing virtues from it. Drugs are his best remedy if prayer fails.

Again, if a healthy and well-cared-for horse takes sick, drugs of some kind are obviously the only possible cure. Thus if the daily living of a human being is faultless, and yet he takes sick, then outside of prayer, what can he do but resort to drugs?

For example, is it not true that one starving for food cannot be spared by taking in water, air or something other than food? And is it not also true that one’s broken and distorted arm cannot be set in place and healed right by dieting, poulticing, massaging, or by anything of the like? Nothing will do the trick, of course, but a competent physician to set the broken bones in place. “(Entering Wedge (p.21-22)

We see that the restoring truth of the Lord’s Elijah message DOES advocate drugs in certain conditions such as nothing working when one’s life is apparently good in regard to health laws, and they take sick. Or a serious onset of disease where a qualified physician is needed.

Let us bring this lesson home with a current situation among us today. COVID 19 is spreading around the world and seems to be quite serious “if” you get it. We say “if” because unfortunately there is a lot of monkey business going around with mass media promotion of this disease –ie. exaggeration of numbers and cases for a certain Globalist agenda. In other words, this is a Covert operation (Truthfully –Covert19) and not the great disease monster it is made out to be.

But this being said, there is a drug called hydroxychloroquine. This drug is proving to be a true Godsend medication for sufferers of COVID. Particularly in the early stages. But due to the Globalist plans for a future vaccination, the mass media has not been supportive of this therapy even though hundreds of doctors the world over are!

Make no mistake this Covert19 operation is just a globalist plan for the  New Word Order. But we as present truth believers know it is doomed to fail. Daniel 11:45 tells us their leader ‘King of the North” shall come to his end and thus the whole globalist plans will come crashing down! Praise the Lord!

But our main focus is that the Lord sent us a restoring message and brothers like bro. P unfortunately are repeating the folly of the Jews and not advancing, let this be a straight-up lesson for us today!

“Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.” (Matt. 17:11)

First the Truth then the Kingdom, amen!

THE JEWS AND THE CHRISTIANS’ FAITH IN THE PROPHETS

June 27, 2020

The following is a sermon address given by brother Victor Houteff on November 16, 1946. This is perhaps one of the most enlightening and powerful of all the sermon addresses that VTH gave (known as the Timely Greetings publications). Pray beforehand that the Spirit of truth shall guide you as promised (John 16:13).

TEXT OF ADDRESS BY V.T. HOUTEFF,
MINISTER OF DAVIDIAN 7TH-DAY ADVENTISTS
SABBATH, NOVEMBER 16, 1946
MT. CARMEL CHAPEL
WACO, TEXAS

A THOUGHT FOR PRAYER

I shall read from The Mount of Blessing, page 168, beginning where we left off last Sabbath.

“The one thing essential for us in order that we may receive and impart the forgiving love of God is to know and believe the love that He has to us. Satan is working by every deception he can command, in order that we may not discern that love. He will lead us to think that our mistakes and transgressions have been so grievous that the Lord will not have respect unto our prayers, and will not bless and save us. In ourselves we can see nothing but weakness, nothing to recommend us to God, and Satan tells us that it is of no use; we can not remedy our defects of character.

When we try to come to God, the enemy will whisper It is of no use for you to pray; did not you do that evil thing? Have you not sinned against God, and violated your own conscience? But we may tell the enemy that ‘the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.’ When we feel that we have sinned and can not pray, it is then the time to pray. Ashamed we may be, and deeply humbled; but we must pray and believe….”

Here is seen that it is Satan’s studied purpose to discourage us, to make us think that God does not love us, and that He cannot save us from our sins. We are therefore to resist the whisperings of the Enemy. When we see ourselves as sinners, then is the very time for us to come to God, and to accept His love and to fully believe in Him.

We should now pray for an absolute realization that God is in business to save sinners, of whom we are chief. That it matters not how deep in sin we may be, if we but depart from evil and choose to do good He will gladly grant us forgiveness.

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 2

THE JEWS AND THE CHRISTIANS’ FAITH IN THE PROPHETS

Let us turn to the writings of the gospel prophet whom the Jews so maliciously sawed asunder.

Isa. 1:18, 19 — “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”

With this Divine recommendation for God’s professed people, the gospel prophet was instructed to introduce his book. And now that we are living in the present-day application of his prophecies, we dare not neglect to comply with Inspiration’s sound and fair recommendation. Our first step shall be to honestly and unbiasedly consider the successes and the failures of those who have gone before us.

Let us beforehand refresh our minds with the Jews’ attitude toward the prophets: Rather than going with the purpose of learning and reasoning, the Jews went to the prophets with prejudiced minds, with malice, with hatred in their hearts, and with instruments of cruelty. (We must not.) This evil spirit was prevalent among the Jews throughout their history. It was manifested even against Moses although for forty

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 3

years he led the Hebrew host with Divine signs and wonders all the way from the brickyards of Egypt to the borders of the promised land.

The remnant finally crossed the Jordan only because they whole-heartedly believed that Moses was God’s mouth piece, and because they ceased murmuring, took and obeyed orders. The Hebrews ever after deeply cherished his writings, and this reverent regard for the Pentateuch continued among the Jews even to the days of Christ. As a man of God and as the nation’s emancipator and founder of its sacred ceremonies, Moses was highly esteemed by all.

Ironically, though the prophets that followed after Moses were rejected by the Jewish nation as a whole. Those who survived in the Babylonian captivity did accept the prophets Haggai and Zechariah only because they were the founders of the movement then on foot as was Moses in his day.

The Jews, according to their own way of reasoning, were honest, though blind, in concluding that they had no need of prophets, because as they saw it, Moses’ writings were complete, there was nothing lacking in them: They contained both the civil and religious laws. They, therefore, saw no need for greater light and no need of another prophet. Through their unbelief in the prophets, they failed to see that their kingdom was only a type of a greater one to come, they failed to see that God’s Truth is progressive and ever unfolding, that each generation has to have added Truth especially adapted to meet their particular needs. Their blindness to this was their basic sin that led them on to ruin.

While the Jews boasted of their faith in Moses’

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 4

writings, Jesus reprehended them by saying: “…had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me: for he wrote of Me.” John 5:46. He had reference to–

Deut. 18:15 –“The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken.”

Of the coming Messiah Zechariah also wrote:

Zech. 9:9 — “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: He is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”

Though they professed to believe in both Moses and Zechariah yet they gave no heed to any of these passages, and ever since a curse has rested upon them.

In rejecting the prophets the Jews thought they were surely keeping out of deception, and thought that they were thus actually loyal to Moses’ writings and consequently to God. This they believed as much in Jesus’ day as Israel believed in Elijah’s day.

Let us now note that they fell into ruin only because they refused to give heed to the prophets who were sent to reform their ways, to correct their erroneous interpretations of Moses’s writings and to lighten the path of their feet the rest of the way — clear to Paradise. Having deprived themselves of the gift of the Spirit of Prophecy by doing away with the prophets, they completely cut off Heaven’s communication line and were thus left in gross darkness and led into error, fanaticism, and crime. They became self-sufficient, proud, boastful, and high minded.

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 5

They felt rich and increased with goods, in need of nothing more. Thus it was that their perversions of the Scriptures by their uninspired interpretations of them caused them to lose the way, and finally to reject and even to crucify their own long-expected Redeemer.

Of Moses’s writings the Jews made a mighty weapon against Christ and the prophets of that day. They were, however, at one time or another forced to acknowledge that their dead fathers were guilty of the blood of the prophets. The same is true today. Many admit that sectarianism is thriving on uninspired interpretations of the Scriptures, yet they expect no inspired interpreters for this day. They thus reject the antitypical prophet Elijah even before his appearance though the Scriptures definitely predict his coming before the great and dreadful day of the Lord, before the Judgment of the Living commences.

If we accept Inspiration’s counsel and come and reason together while we are examining our own standing with the prophets, then an excellent place to begin is

Gen. 49:10 — “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”

Here Moses wrote that the gathering of the people shall be unto Judah, and that when Shiloh comes, Judah shall have a king and a lawgiver of her own. Do we as Seventh-day Adventists believe in this particular part of Moses’ writings? If not, then we have no better standing with Moses than did the Jews.

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 6

To examine our standing with the rest of the prophets, we need not depart from the subject which Moses has introduced in the scripture just quoted. Mark that between the writings of Moses and of Isaiah, the Bible contains the records of history, the judges and the kings. Isaiah, then, is the next prophet after Moses that we shall go to.

Isa. 2:1, 2 — “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.”

Not to Takoma Park, not to Mt. Carmel Center, not to some other place, but to house of Judah and Jerusalem shall the final converts from all nations flow. Isaiah you plainly see absolutely confirms that the gathering of the people shall be unto Judah. Do you?

Jeremiah being the next prophet to Isaiah, we shall read

Jer. 31:6 — “For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the Lord our God.”

“Mount Ephraim,” you know, is the location of the ancient ten-tribe kingdom, Israel. According to this scripture, the kingdom of Israel, which is still lost among the nations, shall some day emerge from the four corners of the earth and gladly join the kingdom of Judah. So shall the gathering of the people be.

Jer. 31:7, 8 — “For thus saith the Lord; Sing with gladness

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 7

for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Lord, save Thy people, the remnant of Israel. Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.”

Jeremiah discloses that the gathering unto Judah shall be from the four corners of the earth. Indeed, Jeremiah, Moses and Isaiah, all three, speak alike on the subject. The question is, Do you believe what they say? If not, are you then better than were the Jews?

Next we are to test our standing with the prophet Ezekiel.

Ezek. 36:17-27 — “Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before Me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. Wherefore I poured My fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: and I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned My holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of His land. But I had pity for Mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

“Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 8

Israel, but for Mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.”

What more could Inspiration say to make the subject clearer? God plainly and solemnly promised to recreate and to rebuild the ancient kingdom, to set it up in its own land. This He is to do after Judah and Israel are scattered among the Gentile nations, and assimilated by them — after they have lost their racial identity — then as Christians, not as Jews, He is to gather them from the four corners of the earth and to bring them to their own land. (And moreover, the Scriptures teach that they are as the sand of the sea for multitude.) This He is to do, you note, not because they are worthy, not because they had been good before or during their dispersion among the Gentiles, but because He is anxious to sanctify His Own name among the heathen.

Still further, after He gathers them from all countries and brings them into their own land, then it is that He promises to cleanse them eternally from

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 9

their filthiness and from their idolatry — to remove all the defects that sin has wrought upon them. Then it is that He gives them a new heart, puts His Spirit upon them and enables them to unavoidably keep His judgments. Mark carefully that regardless of our ideas and opinions all these things take place after God’s people return to their father’s land.

The 144,000 descendants of Jacob, whose fathers were assimilated by the Gentile nations and who thus down through the centuries lost their racial identity, are the first fruits, the first to be gathered unto Judah. They are those who stand on “Mount Zion with the Lamb.” Rev. 14:1. The faithful descendants of the Jews who composed the early Christian church, and who also lost their national identity by naming themselves Christians (Acts 11:26), are also to be gathered from everywhere and brought unto Judah.

Finally, if these prophecies are not to be fulfilled, as the angel of the Laodicean church supposes, and if God’s people are not to return to their homeland, then how will they ever be cleansed from their filthiness since the cleansing is to be done there only? How will they ever have their hearts changed? And what is to make them keep His statutes and judgments unless, as promised, beforehand receive His Spirit in the Promised Land? Indeed, if these prophecies fail, then how will God’s people ever be able to stand before a pure and holy God?

And how will they ever obtain immortality and be on schedule for translation if they do not comply with the prophecies, with His expressed will and plan for His people? And if they ignore these prophecies, the fulfillment of which is during the Judgment for the Living, the harvest, the gathering time, what chance do they then stand to survive that great and dreadful day of the Lord?

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 10

To be more specific, if the denomination fails to recognize and accept these promises, then where are the laity to be led from here on? Certainly not to the Kingdom if their leaders do not believe in It. Do you now believe in Moses, in Isaiah, and Ezekiel? Or do you rather still believe in fables devised by men?

Next to Ezekiel is the prophet Daniel. Incidentally, let us remind ourselves that to begin with, Daniel did not prophesy to the Jews, but to the Chaldeans and to the Medes and Persians. The Jews accepted him as God’s servant only as they saw his prophecies fulfilled. The great question before us, however, is, Do we fully believe in the prophet Daniel’s writings? Let us see.

Dan. 2:44, 45 — “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.”

On Daniel’s own word, the stone is symbolical, not of something else, but of the Kingdom, the which in the parable of the wheat and tares Jesus calls “barn,” the place into which He is to put the wheat (saints) after it is separated from the tares (Matt. 13:30). Now mark carefully that according to Daniel’s interpretation the stone depicts the Kingdom, the which God shall set up not after the days of these kings, but in their days, and that the stone Kingdom Itself, not

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 11

something else, shall break the great image. If our interpretation of the stone contradicts Daniel’s interpretation of it, then we do not only reject Daniel’s inspiration, but even misconstrue the Word of God! We better not. We now come to the prophet Hosea.

Hosea 1:11; 3:5 — “Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel…. Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days.”

Can one believe Hosea on the subject of the Kingdom if he does not believe in the former prophets who taught exactly as he? — Of course not.

We are now at Joel’s prophecies.

Joel 3:1, 2 — “For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted My land.”

When God frees the antitypical children of Judah and of Jerusalem, the church of today, and takes them back to their own land, then it is, you note, that He gathers all nations into the valley of Jehoshaphat. There He is to judge them — to separate the good from the bad, (Matt. 13:47, 48), the sheep from the goats (Matt. 25:32). And this work you must know is the work of the Judgment for all the living. Are we to

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 12

reject Joel along with the prophets before him, and consequently the message of the Judgment for the Living after having for over a century preached the Judgment for the Dead? Ponder over what the Scriptures say and thus make up your mind to forsake all other voices. And what about your belief in the prophet Amos? Let us read

Amos 9:9-15 — “For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name, saith the Lord that doeth this.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. And I will bring again the captivity of My people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.”

Since Amos with even greater emphasis bears the same testimony as all the prophets before him, and since the language on the subject is crystal clear as is the language of all the prophets before him, so much so that it needs no comments, what shall we do with him? We are now to read

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 13

Obad. 1:15-18 — “For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. For as ye have drunk upon My holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been. But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the Lord hath spoken it.”

In harmony with all the prophets before him, and in perfect clarity, Obadiah, too, relates that in the day the Lord destroys the heathen, in the day of harvest, or judgment, otherwise called the cleansing of the Sanctuary (Dan. 8:14) and the purification of the church (Mal. 3:1-3), and also the great and dreadful day of the Lord, there shall be deliverance upon Mount Zion, and the house of Jacob shall possess the wealth of the heathen. Do you now believe in the testimony of Jesus through His prophets? If not, then how can you say that you speak according to the “law and to the testimony” (Isa. 8:20)? Ever remember that the law and the testimony always go hand in hand.

The prophet Jonah is next in line, but we shall consider his prophecies when we come to the prophet Nahum.

We shall now see what is to be done with the prophet Micah.

Micah 3:12; 4:1, 2 — “Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 14

heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest:… But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

As emphatically as all the prophets before him, Micah declares that after the destruction of the Lord’s ancient “mountain,” (the kingdom), comes the reestablishment of it in the last days, and that peoples and nations shall flow unto it because the Law and the Word of the Lord shall go forth from Zion and from Jerusalem. Shall you now close your ears and eyes against this promise? or do you as servants of God intend to get there with the first fruits? I hope it is the latter. We now come to the prophecy of Nahum:

Nah. 1:12, 13, 15 — “…Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder…. Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.”

Nahum’s burden is concerning the restoration, and the fall of Assyria, the powers which rule them in the day He restores the latter-day Kingdom of Judah; in the day He breaks the Assyrian yoke, in the day He bursts asunder the bands that bind His people. In that

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 15

day He sends His messenger to bear good tidings to His people, tidings of peace while the world is upset with wars. Through His messenger He is urging His people to perform their vows, for He is to take away the wicked from among them. Assyria is to vacate and give room to Judah. “For through the voice of the Lord shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.” Isa. 30:31. Now He pleads:

“Turn ye unto Him from Whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted. For in that day [in the day Assyria falls] every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin. Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, Whose fire is in Zion, and His furnace in Jerusalem.” Isa. 31:6-9.

The purification (Judgment), here you see, is conducted from Zion and Jerusalem. And through Malachi asks the Spirit, “But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ sope: and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi [the ministry], and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” Mal. 3:2, 3. Do you accept Nahum? And since Jonah’s prophecy is a counterpart of Nahum’s, then if you reject Nahum, you automatically reject Jonah, too.

The prophet Habakkuk was told to “write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run who

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 16

readeth it.”

Hab. 2:3 — “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Then Habakkuk prayed, saying,

Hab. 3:12, 13 — “Thou didst march through the land in indignation, Thou didst thresh the heathen in anger. Thou wentest forth for the salvation of Thy people, even for salvation with Thine anointed; Thou woundest the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.”

Can we in faith pray for the same thing Habakkuk prayed? — That the Lord go forth for the salvation of His people, that the vision be fulfilled without delay, and that we run to proclaim the good tidings? If not, then truly we spurn Habakkuk also.

Let us see what Zephaniah has to say concerning the latter day house of Judah — the mountain of the Lord.

Zeph. 2:5-7 — “Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the Lord is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the Lord their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.”

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 17

Since Zephaniah’s prophecy is also definite that the Lord is to re-establish the kingdom of Judah, and since it, too, needs no comment, we shall quickly pass to Zechariah’s prophecy.

Zech. 1:20, 21 — “And the Lord shewed me four carpenters. Then said I, What come these to do? And He spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Once God raised “horns,” nations, to scatter His people throughout the Gentile nations, but those “horns” in the restoration of “all things,” are seen to become “carpenters,” so that while they as horns at long last cast the Gentiles out from the promised land, they are as carpenters to build for Judah. Thus Zechariah, as do all the prophets before him, prophesies of the restoration of the kingdom of Judah. Now we shall read from Malachi, the last of the Old Testament prophets.

Mal. 3:1-3 — “Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: and the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ sope: and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.”

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 18

If, in the face of the plain and unquestionable teachings of all the prophets, we as Seventh-day Adventists fail to give heed to the truth of the Purification of the church (the Kingdom here dealt with), the message of the Judgment for the Living and of the restoration of the kingdom of Judah — the sanctuary for the purified ones, — then certainly others will have to take our places in proclaiming it.

Then along with the Jews we will have to bear the guilt of rejecting all the prophets since the world began. Why? — Because unless we actually believe all that they have written, our merely pretending to believe in them means as much to Heaven as the faith of the Jews in the writings of Moses meant to the Lord. What! Preaching the gospel of the Kingdom but denying the Kingdom Itself!

In closing I shall read from Early Writings, in the chapter entitled “The Loud Cry.”

“This message [that is the message that makes the Loud Cry] seemed to be an addition to the third message, joining it as the midnight cry joined the second angel’s message in 1844.” — Early Writings, pg. 277. And on page 118 we read: — “I then saw the third angel. Said my accompanying angel, ‘Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner. These things should engross the whole mind, the whole attention.'”

The author of these statements makes clear that the Loud Cry is not made by a lot of noise, but by an additional message, and that the third angel’s message in the end of the world, not the end itself, selects the wheat from the tares. Who among you would be foolish

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 19

enough to close his eyes and ears to the testimony of the prophets, and at last in consternation cry out, “The harvest is passed, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” Jer. 8:20.

Now, if we as a church do not even so much as expect an additional message, besides rejecting the former prophets, then how much better is our attitude toward God and His prophets of today as well as of yesterday?

The Jews wanted a kingdom of their own, a kingdom of this world (saint and sinner in it). Yes, they wanted a kingdom on earth, but none in Heaven. What is more, they wanted it two thousand years ahead of schedule. Now, ironically, in the time of the restoration of the Kingdom, the Denomination takes an opposite attitude: It wants a kingdom in Heaven, but none on earth. Indeed, it wants to board the “chariot” from Takoma Park. And besides while the Lord says He is to save nations, the Denomination says “He is to save only 144,000 living sons of Jacob,” and consequently none of the sons of other nations!

The Jews wanted nothing but what they wanted, and nothing is just what they got. So it will be with the Denomination if this clear cut and extra Biblical Truth, and the example of the Jews does not help her see that she has drifted “to sea without chart or compass.” — Christ Our Righteousness, pg. 37 (1941 edition). If she continues to want nothing but what she wants, it is certain that nothing is what she can expect.

Pray tell, what more should one expect to get from partial belief in the prophets, from private human interpretation of the Scriptures, from a system

Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 15, page 20

of explaining away the Scriptures, of making mysteries of simple passages by the use of unknown manuscripts and sectarian translations? Let us hold to “the book of the Lord” which His mouth hath commanded, and which manuscripts His “Spirit…hath gathered….” Isa. 34:16.

Say anything you wish against the Jews, but my study tells me that we as Seventh-day Adventists are outdoing them in mischief.

Moreover, it is now seen that our study of this afternoon is a summary of the message to the Laodiceans, who think that they are rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing more, though they have need of everything. They had better awake to their poverty.

To be sure, the present state of affairs does appear gloomy. Yet seeing that this dark and cloudy day holds forth a future of unsurpassing glory, let us with the prophet Habakkuk say: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Hab. 3:17, 18. Thus, just as the apostles defeated the enemy of the church in their day, likewise shall we defeat him in our day.

Fearing and Escaping the Wrath of God

June 20, 2020

Ezekiel's Visions of God—Ezekiel 1:1

The Spirit of Prophecy says —

“There is nothing in the popular ministry that stirs the wrath of Satan, makes the sinner tremble, or applies to the heart and conscience the fearful realities of a judgment soon to come.” (EW p.273)

Indeed the Holy Scriptures say –

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecc.12:13)

The Word is full of warnings, that our great King is coming with wrath!  Yes wrath! Why you ask? Let us read —

“Said the angel, “Nothing less than the whole armor of righteousness can enable man to overcome the powers of darkness and retain the victory over them. Satan has taken full possession of the churches as a body. The sayings and doings of men are dwelt upon instead of the plain, cutting truths of the Word of God. The spirit and friendship of the world are at enmity with God. When the truth in its simplicity and strength, as it is in Jesus, is brought to bear against the spirit of the world, it at once awakens the spirit of persecution. Very many who profess to be Christians have not known God. The natural heart has not been changed, and the carnal mind remains at enmity with God. They are Satan’s faithful servants, notwithstanding they have assumed another name.” (EW, p.274-274)

His church bodies INCLUDING our beloved SDA church have been countermanded. Now, granted, if one is not in tune with the Almighty, they may indeed be fooled with the illusion prevalent throughout Christendom.  But if one is closely aligned with the Lord and His word, one truly knows “why” the Lord is filled with wrath.

The Lord’s last message of Elijah brings this point home clearly–

“… only a true Christian, one who has a personal experience with God, a perfect knowledge of His Word, and who is filled with His Spirit, can discriminate saint from sinner. He, only, can recognize who has the seal and who does not have it, when the latter is cloaked in a counterfeit robe of righteousness.” (Tract 5, p.63)

When one advances in His Word as we have reported countless times in our blog, we learn that the coming of wrath, starting with the Seventh-day Adventist church, shall disclose TWO GROUPS  –Those who Escape and those who do not –that is it!

No merry middle ground, no “lukewarm followers” allowed anymore. Oh how they shall be “spued” out of His mouth (Rev. 3:16). We don’t need to quote Ezekiel 9, many already know it’s dire prophetic action.

With this knowledge of what is to come, let us now look at the overwhelming evidence of those who are to escape His beginning wrath (Ezekiel 9 church judgment) in the SDA church. Notice who they are, and focus sharply how many they are. Revelation 7 will indeed come true.

For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.” (Isaiah 66:15-20)

Brethren, in all of history, has this prophecy ever come true? Not yet, and we do believe it is near at hand. The escaped do what? Proclaim the Lord Cry to all the world!

Isa. 4:2 — “In that day shall the Branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.”

In that day, — in the day the daughters of Zion become haughty, in the day the seven women take hold of the one man, at that time the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth excellent and comely for them that are the escaped of Israel. From what are His people to escape? Here is the answer:

Isa. 3:1-3 — “For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, the mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.”

It is obvious that they escape the destruction of these sinners in the church.

Isa. 4:3 — “And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem.”

Only the holy ones, those whose names are left written in the Book escape the destruction that falls upon the wicked in the church. Only they constitute “the remnant,” the ones that are left. ( 1 TG, no.6, p.37-38)

******************************

“The remnant of Israel must be something else than what we have thought it to be for “remnant” is a small portion, or part which is left after a destruction. The destruction is the mighty shaking, sifting time which is the separation of the two classes in the church (the sealing of the 144,000) as prophesied in Ezekiel 9, and Isaiah 63. Those who escape are the “remnant.” The Bible gives no other definition of “remnant” than the one given here.” (SRod, vol. 1, p.102-103)

******************************

“If one cannot deny that the 144,000, the first fruits, are members of the church , then one cannot deny that they are of her seed. And as they remain alive from the slaying of the unfaithful in their midst they are therefore the “remnant”-that which remains. (Answerer, vol.2, question 33)

*****************************

“Since the slaughter predicted by the prophet Isaiah takes place among those who profess to be sanctified and purified (falsely believe to have need of nothing more), and since those who escape from among them are sent to the Gentiles to preach the gospel, five distinct and supremely important points stand out plainly:

(1) since the victims of the slaughter are those who against their God-given knowledge indulge in swine’s flesh and other abominations, and since those who escape are versed in the gospel work enough to be sent to preach it to the Gentiles, the slaughter, therefore, is seen to take place in the church;

(2) those who escape, according to Ezekiel, are those who sigh and cry against the abominations, and thus receive the mark of deliverance,

(3) since they are sent to preach the gospel to the Gentiles after they escape the slaughter, they are “the remnant,” those that are left, the future servants of God;

(4)since they are to gather from the Gentiles all their brethren, all that can possibly be saved, they are the ones who finish the gospel work in all the world,

(5) since there are two separations –one from the church (Israelites), and one from the Gentiles, –those who escape and those who are gathered in — then the former are the first fruits and the later the second fruits — those of Revelation 7:4, 7-9, one from the tribes of Israel, and one from the Gentile nations. (JL, no.2, p.6-7)

*****************************

“…let every serious-minded reader pause to ponder what Inspiration says: Isa. 66:19 and 20 explain that those who escape the slaughter of Isa. 66:15 and 16, are to be sent as missionaries to the Gentiles, who as yet know not God. Hence these escaped(remaining) ones are God’s remnant, His first fruits of the harvest, His guileless servants, the 144,000 — the elect. And only they, none others, the Scriptures declare, shall bring all their brethren from all nations, is a clean vessel, into the purified house of the Lord — His White House.” (White House Recruiter, p.25)

*****************************

“Since “those that escape” the slaughter (the 144,000)shall “bring all your brethren [all those who shall be saved in the time of the ‘Loud Cry’]…into the house of the Lord,” then it follows that those who escape are the ones who finish the work —the reason they are called “the servants of God.” Rev. 7:3.(Tract 1, p.23)

*****************************

“Those who are sealed (marked) and escape the ruin are the ones who will constitute the number which prophecy declares to be 144,000.” (SRod, vol. 1, p.30)

These are but a few of the many Words of warning the Lord sent us from His last message of Elijah. The time of probation is close to ending for us as SDA. Soon our name will be changed and we shall have a new goal and work– The Loud Cry to the whole world, Lord willing.

“The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD will name.” (Isaiah 62:2)

We see that ONLY 144,000 are prophesied to escape. Will you be one, will I be one? That is the great question that each of us SDA  members needs to ask, indeed dwell on!

Let us strive with all the power that God has given us to be among the hundred and forty-four thousand. And let us do all that we can to help others to gain heaven.” (March 9, 1905, Review and Herald)
