What the world would be like

April 4, 2010

Imagine if you will that the people of the world feared God and obeyed His Commandments. Let’s look at the results.

Many remember just recently the tragic and worldwide financial and real estate disaster. It all basically started on Wall Street, with all the big money wheelers and dealers doing their deeds behind the scenes. But just what were their deeds?  It was STEALING and COVETING!  Yes, they were breaking God’s number 8 and number 10 Laws. What would have been the result if they had OBEYED those Commandments?  It would have NEVER HAPPENED! So much misery and suffering would have been avoided. Can you see God’s “reason” for such wisdom in those Laws?

Now, how about Commandment number 6 “Thou shall not murder”  How would the world be if everyone stopped murdering. Think of the terrorists? The burglers? The warring nations and their killings? This one Commandment is SO obvious, it can only be explained that the dark forces have blinded many souls through-out history.

How about stealing? Can you imagine everyone going to bed at night and NOT locking their doors?  Or Cars? Things being left out in the open and keys and locks being thrown away?

Look at today’s marriages. It is said that the divorce rate is close to 50%! And a vast majority of thoses stem from unfaithfulness. If only everyone who is married obeyed God’s 7th Law “Thou shall not commit adultery” Our divorce rate would plummet. No more sex shops, sex magazines, call girls, etc.

The old tradition of weekly family get togethers would be strongly helped if people would obey His 5th law “Honor your Father and Mother” No more disgracing the parents and respect would be the normal way, from children to parents.

And how about the FORGOTTEN Law , number 4 “Thou shall keep the Sabbath day holy”   Many around the world are “workaholics” and never really rest. How would the world be if EVERYBODY took the seventh day “off” and paid homage and worshipped He who created us? By trusting HIS WORD on “which” day to worship.   There would be unity around the world and such peace and rest upon us that we would be miraculously ‘recharged” and bouyant with His love.

My friends, you have just saw a little bit of what heaven will be like.

Angels are working even now

April 3, 2010

It is truly amazing when I come across a story like the following! It shows God never sleeps and uses whatever means possible to get people into the fold of Christ. The following is about a brother in the church who experienced God’s divine hand in action. Told in his words. His name is Hubert Xavier.

My friends and I were relaxing after lunch one day in Grenada, an island in the Caribbean, when a man walked up to us. He pointed his finger at me and said, “The Lord has something for you to do”. Then he turned and walked into the busy marketplace .

We sat there trying to figure out WHAT had just happened. We searched for the man, but he was no where to be found. My friends laughed the incident off, but I thought about it alot. I went to church, but wasn’t close to God.

Then  one day a woman came into the store where I worked  and asked me, “Son, have you given your life to Christ yet?” I had never seen her before, and her comment took me by surpprise. “Lady, I’m preparing to do so,” I told her. She walked away, and when I searched for her a moment later, she had gone. No one else saw her. Could God be trying to tell me something?

I told a friend about the incidents, and he invited me to the Seventh day Adventist church’s Sunday evening Bible study service with him. I went and enjoyed it, so I decided to continue going. He invited me to attend worship on Sabbath morning, but I had to work. Finally I got up the courage to ask my boss for Saturday off so I could go to church.

As my friend and I studied the Bible together, and after attending evangelistic meetings, I became convinced that I had found God’s true church. I decided to become an Adventist. But my boss refused to give me Sabbaths off. My relatives urged me to just go to church Sunday, but I knew what I had to do. So I  quit .

I found temporary work and put my energies into working for God, but that didn’t feed me. One day there was no food in my house. I knelt and told God that I was hungry and begged for some food. A knock at the door interrupted my prayer. It was  a church  elder! ” I was passing by and felt impressed  to stop by and see how you are doing” He said. He gave me ten dollars and smiled. And so God provided .

Eventually I found work with a company where I don’t have  Sabbath problems. As I wait on customers, I tell them what God is doing in my life and invite them to try Jesus too. I’m planting seeds in their hearts and pray that God will make those seeds grow, just as he did in my life.  Hubert Xavier.

Could they have been Angels? Very possibly. One thing is for sure God’s hand was invloved and in these last days such events will happen with more and more frequency. Just like God gave me several signs to point me in the right direction and to worship in the manner He has said. For if we walk righteously according to His ways and laws we will see and feel His presence. Amen.

Love is a two way street

March 27, 2010

How many of  us have ever been in  a love affair, only to find it is one sided?  It is very disheartening and sometimes even devastating. In regards to our Lord Jesus, it is clear He loved and loves us GREATLY. How many of us know that He asked for something in return? Yes, it is that we ALSO love Him!

The love was manifested in His brutal suffering He took for us so that we could be saved and live life eternal. So once we understand that Jesus did HIS PART to show His love for us it is only natural to ask “What can I DO to show this wonderful loving Lord that I LOVE HIM? This is indeed a most important question ALL true Christians should ask. Let’s look at the only real place to find the answer– God’s holy book- The Bible.

If we start in Genesis and read all the way to the end (Revelation) for a direct statement from God’s word of   ” How” to love Him, we find it!  As clear and pure and simple as possible . STRAIGHT FROM OUR LORD’S MOUTH!  It is ” If you love me, keep my commandments” (John  14:15)  There it is!   No misinterpreting this, no way , no how!  The Lord, who undertook great suffering love for us, asks us to “Love Him” by doing something.

Ok, if this is what our Lord asks us to do, shall we ignore Him? Should we say “Oh Lord, you know I love you, but I don’t want to obey your Commandments”  Ofcourse not!  If we “love” Him we’ll do what He asks, correct?  Many say ” I love you Lord” yet don’t care enough to do what He asks TO SHOW YOU LOVE HIM!  As Jesus said “Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do NOT the things I say?” (Luke 6:46)

Now here is the really sad thing, most Christians ignore(John 14:15). The blindness is indeed worldwide and only those being guided by the Holy Spirit see this and obey accordingly. And ALWAYS remember Jesus AUTHORED the great Moral Law “All things were made by Him, and without Him  was not anything made that was made”(John 1:3)

So won’t you ask yourself today  “Do I really LOVE Him and do what  He asks me to do”?  Please, don’t deceive yourself and “love” Him YOUR way. HE knows best for us, not we ourselves! It’s all about summiting to Him and BELIEVING HIS WORDS. For once we do what Jesus said to do (Keep His Commandments) we feel a true connection with Him. (1 John 2:3-4) ” For this is HOW we know we know Him, if we keep His Commandments. He that says ” I know him” and does not keep His Commandments, is  a liar, and the truth is not in Him”.  Jesus asks us to LOVE HIM and isn’t He worth it for what He has done for us?  amen.

The unanswered prayers and the sin connection

March 20, 2010

The following post is contributed on, by Barbra Namuddu. Thanks Mrs. Namuddu  for you contribution!

How many times do we earnestly pray for an answer only to wait in vain? Many Christians realize that we feel “not heard”.  I believe it all comes back to our spiritual condition with God. If we are continually “sinning” we create a barrier between us and God. God WANTS to help us but we stifle Him with our turning away from Him.

Now, on the other hand, once we come closer to Him and OBEY Him and His Moral Laws, we do EXACTLY what He wants.  And our faith will be rewarded by God in His own perfect time. But we should NOT forget our prayer. I see it SO often in church and eslewhere. People get up and make these nice sounding prayers and “forget” about them the next day!  How can we show faith in Him by acting like this??

As it was pointed out by Mrs.Namuddu. trust and faith is SO important in “believing” that our prayers will be heard. And a “humble” heart who first confesses His sins BEFORE prayers , I believe starts the prayer truthfully.

Finally, IF we walk “righteously” according to His word and Laws, He will be ALL ears. As the word says (james 5:16) “so then, confess your sins to one another, so that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”  Look at it this way, the more we let the Holy Spirit guides us (via less sinning) the more God will see our light and bless us!

7 truths anti-Sabbath keepers choose to ignore

March 13, 2010

With so much on the line, in these last days, I thought it would be important to show some powerful truths  from God’s word about the Sabbath. There is actually a tremendous amount  said about the Sabbath(mentioned 169 times in the bible!)  Here are some specific powerful  truths anti-Sabbath keepers (hereafter referred as AS) cannot accept as truth, even though it is plainly written in God’s word!

Number 1.   Jesus never broke or trespassed  the Sabbath. We know HE is our example of how to live a “Christian” life. So how can (AS) overlook their OWN LEADER’S example???  (1John 2:6) “He that says the Lord abides in him, ought to walk, just as He walked. So where did Jesus walk every Sabbath? You got it, the Synagogue  (church).  Jesus’ example of obeying the Sabbath must be ignored by the (AS).

Number 2.  In Genesis we find God blessed and made HOLY the SEVENTH DAY.  Now, here is the million dollar question. Where in all of scripture can you show where the  HOLY BLESSINGS  HAVE BEEN REMOVED???  Answer-  Nowhere!  So if the blessing and sanctification has never been removed for the holy seventh day, it must mean IT IS STILL HOLY!  And if it is, should we not show any special observance on this day, as God commanded? (AS) must ignore that the HOLY BLESSINGS are STILL there! I think they prefer to ignore  it instead of keeping  it holy as commanded by our Lord.

Number 3.  It is very plain to see, and straight forward, I might add, that ALL people will worship the Lord on the Sabbath in the FUTURE. (Isaiah 66:22-23) “For as the NEW  heavens and earth which I will make shall remain before me, says  the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass from one new moon to another, and from ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, shall ALL FLESH come to WORSHIP before Me, says the Lord”  ok, if we are definitely going to worship the Lord on the Sabbath in the future, why is there a break from Sabbath observance now  as (AS) must believe???  It makes NO SENSE.

Number 4.     One of my all time favorite scriptures (Psalms 111 :7-8)   ” The works of His hands are truth and judgement, ALL of His Commandments are sure. They STAND FAST FOREVER AND EVER, done in truth and uprightness”         Here we see when He wrote the GREAT 10 Commandment law with His own Hands, they were true. They also are to “STAND FOREVER AND EVER”     The Sabbath is in the HEART of those Commandments that stand forever and ever.So the (AS) must ignore that the Commandments are STILL standing and are to be obeyed and observed.  These words of God’s do not count as truth to them. By the way, I have never   heard or seen a  remotely clear attempt to counter this word of God by the (AS)  Why? Because  they can’t.

Number 5.    (AS) love to quote Paul as to justifying their position on not observing the Sabbath. If they will only STUDY God’s word, they will very quickly learn that Paul (through God’s spirit) speaks about TWO different “Laws”. One  is the Moral Law (10 Commandments)  the other is the Mosiac laws. They were the sacrificial, ceremonial, ritual laws, foreshadowing Christ as our Savior. There is TREMENDOUS confusion within Christianity about the writings of Paul. Infact God forsaw the day that people would “distort” Paul’s writings when He inspired Peter to write about Paul’s writings (2 Peter 3:15-16) “….just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are HARD TO UNDERSTAND, which the ignorant and unstable people DISTORT, as they did other Scriptures, to their own destruction.”

But if we study scripture the ONLY time Paul is mentioned WORSHIPPNG is on the SABBATH! The bible records at least 84 Sabbaths Paul honored and observed!  And he is shown to be converting GENTILES as well as JEWS on the SABBATH. What were the Gentiles doing there if  “Sunday” was already being preached as the “Lord’s day”? Paul continued Sabbath after Sabbath to bring all the people back into temple(church) on the same day each week– the Sabbath! Not Sunday, Tuesday or even Friday! Surely the Apostles were gathering every “Sunday” and  word  should have spread to “abandon” the Sabbath for Sunday, right?   Wrong!

Paul was brought before the Sanhedrin and their spies(many years after Christ’s death on the cross). In their accusations they did not  accuse him of breaking the Sabbath. Why?  Because he DID NOT!  Infact he said (in his defense) (acts 24:14) “…I worship the God of our Fathers, believing all things written IN THE LAW, and in the Prophets”   We know Paul wrote very clearly about the Mosiac laws being done away with, so it had to be that  he ” BELIEVED in the MORAL LAW ” (which includes the Sabbath). And He believed in the Prophets (ALL of whom believed in the Sabbath).  So much truth here the (AS) ignore!

Number 6.     The wise man, Solomon, wrote in Ecclesiates about all the trials, tribulations and doings which man can do in life. It was all “meaningless’. Except at the end where he made his summary of  all he had spoken. (Ecc 12:13)  “For this is the SUM of the matter,  Fear God, and Keep His Commandments, FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN”  Notice it does  not say “this is the whole duty of JEWS”  He said man!   (AS)  are you part of mankind?  Then God is talking to YOU,too! Your DUTY is to fear God and obey His Commandments.  But this is another word of God that (AS) must ignore and explain away. They must say “it is no longer true”. (Numbers 23:19) ” God is not a man, that He should lie,  nor a son of man that he should CHANGE HIS MIND (in other words (AS) believe we no longer have these duties now because God has changed His mind and these words are no longer true). Does he speak then not act? Does He promise then not fulfill?”   Can we see the absolutely strange logic the (AS) must use to explain away God’s true words?

Number 7.   Jesus’ spoken words in (Matt 5:18-19)  “Truly I say to you, until heaven  and earth pass away, NOT ONE IOTA or letter shall pass from the LAW, until all has been accomplished.  Whoever, therefore, breaks the LEAST of the Commandments and teaches others to do so, shall be called LEAST in heaven, but  whoever DOES THEM and teaches others to do so, shall be call GREAT in heaven”       In our Christian world today, which Commandment , do you think is looked upon as the “least”?  You got it, the Sabbath!   Ok, our Lord warns you (AS) don’t break it, or be called “least in heaven”

May the grace and truth of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and may you know this truth, that His Sabbath is to be honored just as it was in the beginning of the world.

Amen Lord, may your words be forever true and righteous!

Go back and make things right

March 6, 2010

Once we become a “true” Christian, our life and the way we look at things becomes  new and different. We were used to thinking about  our own likes, lusts, pleasures and a myriad of sins. But now we understand that He lives in us and we look at things differently.

In my case, the Holy Spirit has brought to my attention some of my sins of the past. As we know God’s moral holy Law is the standard by which we will be judged (James 2:12) “So, speak and act as those who are to be judged by the Law of liberty”   Once we come to God we look at our life through those holy rules.  I was shown that I made some mistakes in my past that could be righted.

In my past life, I was involved in much worldy business. Often borrowing from people for expansion, etc. Well, not really thinking about Him or His holy Laws, I got alittle complacent. I’d borrow quite often and I paid back very well until a real rough spot hit about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay back everybody due to the tough times I experienced. I moved out of town and lost touch will some people. But recently God has impressed on me to “Go back and make it right”.  I have been blessed the last few years with a great business and I really started to think about my “past mistakes”  In God’s word we are called to be “righteous” (1John 3;7) “Let no man deceive you, he who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous”

So I started my search for the people who I still owed. I found two of the 5, and promptly sent  them checks( Thank God for google, lol). God’s 8th Commandment is “Thou shall not steal” God is working in my life to make me more “Christ like” and His righteousness is truly a great feeling to DO as  well as believe.

So if you’ve done wrong to people in your past, I believe it is important to “go back” and make things right as best you can.(1 John 2:29) ” If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who PRACTICES  righteousness is born of Him” Our God is a God of righteousness and therefore we ,too, should practice this!

“I will reveal myself”

February 27, 2010

The following is based on my true experience. I saw it and can testify it happened!

For many years, actually decades, I did my “own” thing. I sinned and sinned continually. Ignoring  the Lord and pursuing my own desires (money, women, fun times, etc.) Then, alittle over a year ago,one night,  I was inspired to read the bible (front to back) for the first time in my life. I  read it carefully, taking it all in and learning just what Almighty God had to say. After the second or third night, I read about the “Ten Commandments”. While I knew about them, I really wasn’t familiar with ALL of them. The one that “stuck out” at me was ” You shall keep holy the Sabbath day”. I pondered this and was guided by the Holy Spirit to “try” this.

In my appliance business Saturday is a very busy day for me. So I basically decided to do it “on faith”. Not knowing much about the Sabbath, except that we were NOT to do our own thing but rather to communicate with our Lord and honor Him as our creator and Lord.  So for the FIRST time in my life, I obeyed His holy Sabbath the following Friday evening. I took that first Sabbath shower, and I remember taking a real long one to get really clean for His holy day. The rest of the evening I read the bible. It was a nice quiet evening. I ended up sleeping 11 hours that night!  Talk about Sabbath rest, lol.

The Sabbath was spent quietly and mostly reading the bible and watching some Christian TV. I refused all business and calls. Then the evening was approaching and I was hungry. So I cooked dinner and sat down at the dining room table. While I was pleased that this first Sabbath was nice I really didn’t feel anything unusual. Unbeknown est to me,  I was very quickly to be shown otherwise!

It was getting dark and I reached over to the dining room lights and turned them on. I began to eat. Shortly after, the lights above me went off, then they came on, then they went off, then they came back on, then they went off  again, and then finally they came back on.  ALL BY THEMSELVES 3 times!!  I thought , what was that???  Then it hit me!  GOD had noticed my FIRST EVER Sabbath! I was stunned. God was speaking to me by showing me this sign to let me know He was watching. This was so amazing in so many ways.

This “lights” sign spoke volumes to me. First,  it showed that His ever watchful eye notices our obedience. Second, God wanted to tell me I was doing the “right thing” in obeying His holy Sabbath. Third, God’s purpose was to “open” my eyes to His holys Laws and to go and spread His truth to the people.  God has said in (John 14;21) “He that has my Commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me, and shall be loved by the Father, and I will love him, and WILL REVEAL MYSELF TO HIM”.  And (1 John 2:  3-4) ” This is how we KNOW we know Him, if we keep His Commandments, he that says  ‘ I know Him’  and does not keep His Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him”   Yes, Lord,  we know you by what you said in these verses.               AMEN!   I saw it Lord, personally,  and I praise you and declare your words are true.

So once we OBEY Him and  His Commandments, HE WILL REVEAL HIMSELF TO US.  Don’t ever forget this. I have often heard from professing  Christians that “Oh, we can’t keep them, it’s impossible” or “They aren’t really needed to be obeyed”  This is, in my opinion, foolishness because HE has promised to send a helper (the Holy Spirit) and it becomes very DOABLE, Praise God! And the WHOLE PURPOSE  of obeying Him is to show WE LOVE HIM! If you do not feel close to Him, just review your life and come to Him as He has commanded and he won’t let you down!     Amen.

Witnessing

February 21, 2010

In our walk with the Lord,  many feel called to witness.  Some are called to serve, and still others are called for something else. Today I’ll discuss what the Lord has shown me  on a lesson on witnessing.

I have had the opportunity to do much spreading of His word online. Often I find myself in lengthly “debates” with people who are “professing” to be Christian. After a email or two it quickly becomes evident that they are A)  choosing to ignore scripture B) contradicting scripture    C) mixing their traditional beliefs with scripture’s word or  D) Misinterpreting scripture.  I often become exasperated because I will steadfastly “protect and guard” His Laws as scriptures says (prov 7:1,2) “My son, keep my words and store up my Commandments within you. Keep my Commandments and you will live, GUARD my teachings as the apple of your eye” . But unfortuantely many times to no avail.

So it slowly started to dawn on me ( after several debates) that maybe I was spending useless time against some one who REFUSES to see the truth(?)   So I asked the Lord and began to search scripture on what the bible has shown on “witnessing” to those who refuse to listen or heed.

Some  scripture’s are very direct and cutting  against those who “ignore” or attempt to “refute” our speaking about God’s Laws  ( Prov. 28:9) “If ANYONE turns his ear from hearing of the Law, even his prayers are an abomination”  Wow, pretty powerful words from the Lord! It basically says their hearts are  NOT right and receptive to God’s truth, expressed in his Laws. Notice it doesn’t say “If any Jew…..”. The anti-Law Christians act as if it does!

(Psalms 119:51) “The arrogant utterly deride me, yet I DO NOT turn away from your Law”  I very often get a sense of arrogance from anti-Law Christians.  It’s almost  like the attitude is “How dare you even think of following Old Testament Laws! ”

Now we go to the New Testament. Jesus says  In (Matt 10:14) “If anyone will not welcome you OR LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town”    So here it is clearly saying to start out friendly and proceed to tell them the truth in God’s word. And in my case, many times it’s about God’s holy Moral Law. And if they refuse to listen,  according to Jesus , I should get away from them. This is a hard lesson for me due to my compassion to keep on showing them more and more of God’s truth. But after “learning” from experience I have found the Lord is right!

So We must not spend time arguing with people who want to turn away from God’s word or Law. I believe , due to their heart’s hardened condition, the Holy Spirit must come to the rescue! Instead let us spend that energy on spreading His truth to where it will bear fruit! To the meek and humble of heart, for they will “listen well” to the truth!  Amen.

3 miracles from God

February 13, 2010

This story I read in the paper this last week. A man who had been robbing stores in this small Texas town happened to pick the WRONG store, lol. Late in the afternoon this lady (wife of the owner) was behind the counter in their small grocery store. The hapless criminal burst into the store,  looked around, then approached the counter, he quickly pulled a gun on the lady and demanded “give me the money, now!” The lady stopped for a moment, then looked straight into the man’s eyes and said ” I command you in the name of Jesus! Get out of this store NOW!”  The man stood there alittle stunned, then started shouting obscenities. The lady was getting even more powerful, she said    “I arrest you in the name of Jesus, now get OUT!” as she pointed defiantly to the door.  The man became almost as if he was frozen! Then he quickly ran out the store!  (No doubt with visions of the lady looking like a monster ready to eat him alive, lol)

Wow, if only we “professed” Christians had such faith in the Lord! The Lady drew on the “power” of Jesus and defeated evil! Amen.

The next one is about our Church’s missionaries in the quake torn city of Diquini, Haiti. Last week we had a Seventh Day Adventist medical doctor come and present his experience in treating the people there. What a disaster it is there. He described the suffering and the hardships. But he told us that the Seventh day Adventist Hospital was one of the few hospitals to come away relatively “unscathed”. Praise God. He knew  to help “save” this hospital. Most hospitals suffered substantial damage or leveled but “Haitian Hospital Adventiste” was preserved! Amen.

The following is the most inspiring miracle. In the Philippines in a village called Panias. The people there faithfully give their tithes, which the church treasurer keeps in a special bag until she can go into town. Unfortunately the trip is dangerous. Logging trucks and motorbikes are the only mode of transportation. people often risk their lives perching on top of the trucks as they wallow along the muddy roads.

One day the treasurer headed to town. She brought with her God’s money to give to the district pastor. Reaching the dirt road she sat with her daughter at a waiting shed, as they waited for a truck. The church treasurer sat on the money bag to keep it safe as more people gathered inside the shed. Then a truck came and She and her daughter found a safe place on top of the truck. Then the truck headed down the road.

After they traveled about a half mile, the daughter asked ” Mama, where’s the money bag?” With a sinking feeling, the treasurer realized she didn’t have it.  “Mr. Driver, STOP!” she shouted. The truck stopped and they climbed down. They ran as fast as they could, avoiding if they could all the mudpools. As the treasurer ran she prayed “Lord, please keep your money safe”.

Looking ahead, she could see the waiting shed. Two  men were waiting inside the shed for another truck. Reaching the shed, she saw the bag EXACTLY where she left it!  Grabbing it, she prayed out loud “Thank you Lord, for keeping your money safe”   “what are you talking about?” one of the men asked. “I just thanked God for taking care of His church money” she answered.  “I don’t understand” the man said. “well, didn’t you see this bag? it was right there” the treasurer pointed to the spot where she’d left the money. “I left it behind when I ran to catch the last truck”    “No, we didn’t see it” the men said.   “but a stranger was sitting right there. Where did he go”? the first man asked the other. The other man responded “He was sitting right there where you picked up your bag, but left when we saw you coming”   “Thank you Lord” the treasurer shouted. “Thank you for sending a angel to keep your money safe”

God does use His angels often, but sometimes we just don’t know it or aren’t aware of it. Praise God!  Amen.  This is a story from the SULADS missionaries Seventh Day Adventist in the Philippines.

Enter Life

February 6, 2010

Perhaps one of the most important  questions we as  Christians need to ask is —How do we enter eternal life?  Well, the most obvious starting point is to ask  our Lord himself! Let’s inquire from Him.

In (Matt:19;17-21) there came a man to inquire of our Lord just this exact question. He asked ” Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have ETERNAL LIFE?” According to many “Christians” today, you would think the Lord had said “Just love me and profess me among men, and you will have eternal life” Afterall that is what I hear constantly among today’s “Christians”. But no! Look at what our Lord SAID. He said “…If you wish to enter into life,KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS ” Look Just how important the Commandments are! LOOK! I feel like I must repeat this a thousand times to some of our “Christian” friends. They simply don’t believe that the Commandments are important. I can only think they are being deceived by the great deceiver. Once the devil can convince them, to quote the beatles “all they need is love”, then they start IGNORING what our Lord said! It is indeed possible to love my fellow man and NOT love God. How? By disobeying His Commandments. What good is it to gain the whole world and ignore God’s word?(prov 14;12) “There is a way which seems right unto man, but it’s end is the way of death”

Then the man was curious and asked ” which?” Meaning he knew Jesus was talking about the holy moral 10 Commandments. Jesus replied ” Thou shall not murder, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not bear false witness, honor thy Father and Mother, love they neighbor as thyself” Here it is made clear. The Lord is telling the man (and us) that the Commandments must be kept  to enter eternal life. They are the Commandments of God and even Jesus professed to have kept them. (John 15;10) “If you keep my Commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I HAVE KEPT MY FATHERS COMMANDMENTS, and abide in His love”

To summarize, if we wish to enter eternal life let us never forget that His Commandments are to be kept. EACH ONE OF THEM! Not 9 0f 10, like most Christians want to do today.
